Accommodating
During our stay in Kenya we had a great visit to Crescent Island and Hell’s Gate, booked with Jae Travels. Tour guide Antony was punctual, very knowledgable and accommodating. The boat ride to the Island was a surprising highlight because of the operator who guided us to the island. He really made the 25 min trek enjoyable, relaxing. We were assisted by a guide once at the island to assure our safety and being that close to zebras, giraffes, antelopes, ostriches, pelicans, monkeys etc was just an amazing experience. The island landscape was breath taking. We also enjoyed a great lunch at Carnelley’s. The guide, the vehicle, the boat ride, the Island, the food all 4 star!

Awesome safari guide
We are writing to wholeheartedly recommend John Menri, a safari driver and guide with Simbaland Magic Tours. John was an exceptional part of our safari experience, and his professionalism, knowledge, and calm demeanor made our time in the bush truly unforgettable and ‘the trip of a lifetime.’
From the moment we set out each day, John demonstrated remarkable wildlife knowledge and tracking skills. He consistently anticipated animal movements, read tracks with precision, and knew exactly where to position the vehicle to give us the best—and safest—viewing and photo taking opportunities. Thanks to his expertise, we saw wildlife encounters we would have otherwise missed, including several animals that are notoriously difficult to find. Example: one time we pulled over slowly while other safari vehicles whizzed by, and John pointed out quietly - "There's a leopard in that tree. See? There."
John was also incredibly adaptable. He listened closely to our interests and priorities for each outing and tailored our drives accordingly. Whether we wanted to focus on predators, birdlife, or simply enjoy a slower, more scenic route, he made sure the experience matched our expectations while still maximizing our chances for memorable sightings.
Perhaps most importantly, John maintained a calm, attentive, and friendly presence throughout our journey. He's an interesting, intelligent person. When you spend several days in a bouncy, dusty vehicle with someone it helps that they are someone you can have an interesting conversation with.

Everything was arranged and delivered to perfection
I scheduled a 3 day trip to Victoria Falls thru Safari.com. The arrangements included flights from South Africa, hotel, food and several tours including a hike, a safari, a boat ride and a helicopter ride. Initially I thought that the overall price was quite high but after the experience and how well everything was arranged, I believe it was worth the price! The lodging and food at the Batonka Lodge was exquisite with superb service and the touring elements were wonderful. I highly recommend using them.

Malanga is a guide i would recommend
Malanga was very kind and experienced, he showed us everything he could and we were very satisfied. We have seen every possible animal we could like girrafes, hippos, hyenas, crocodiles and elephants also including lions and leopard. We have had lunch in the bush at camp. And our guide made stops when we wanted, and took soke nice photos of animals. It was very nice and we definetly wont forget that memory. Thank you Malanga =)

Helpful, good communication and pro-active
In July 2025, our family of four had an amazing holiday in South Africa. We truly saw everything we had hoped for beforehand.

Excellent service delivering our dream holiday
We wished to combine a safari in Masai Mara, Kenya with a beach holiday in Zanzibar. We had partner flights to Nairobi and Rura sorted all other flights, transfers & accommodation.
We dealt with Ruphina who was incredibly helpful. For each of our stays we were given multiple choices of accommodation. In total we had 5 different hotels and camps and each fitted our requirements perfectly. Throughout our stay Ruphina was constantly in touch by email and watts app to ensure everything was ok. We can’t recommend Ruphina & Rura highly enough.

Incredible experience from start to finish
We did a 5 day, 4 night safari in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, Tarangire and Lake Manyara. The whole experience was incredible, not only did we see the big 5 (including the rare black rhino) we also saw a cheetah hunt and two cheetah cubs feeding.
Our driver and guide Kefas was amazing and made our experience extra special. He had deep knowledge and understanding of the wildlife and took the time to explain everything about the animals to us, and was always happy to answer all of our questions. His understanding of the animals allowed us to have incredible and up close encounters with so many different animals, it truely was a magical experience. Kefas also took the time to chat to us about local customs and culture, which we really appreciated and found very interesting.
Our cook Yusuph was also great. He made us wonderful meals and there was always something different for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am a vegetarian and was a little worried about what food I would have over the trip, however, Yusuph went above and beyond to create delicious vegetarian meals all of which I greatly enjoyed! This was in addition to the meat dishes prepared for the rest of the group.
Booking the safari was easy, thanks to Ruth and her organisation! We paid a deposit and then she came to meet us the night before our trip to collect the rest of the payment, which made it nice and easy for us!
Our safari was a once in a lifetime experience and we thank Kefas and Yusuph for making it so memorable!
