Great experience 4 days 3 nights safari in mikumi
5/5

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a safari in Mikumi National Park with Asante Bibi Safari Tours ( including one day trekking to the waterfall) and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we were picked up by Rajabu, the staff showcased professionalism and genuine care for our comfort and safety. The guides were highly knowledgeable, not only about the park and its wildlife but also about the culture and history of the region, which enriched the entire experience.

The wildlife sightings were incredible – we spotted lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and so much more in their natural habitat. The guides knew the best spots and times to observe these animals without disturbing them, which made the experience feel authentic and respectful of nature.

What really stood out to me was how attentive and accommodating the staff were. They ensured that every part of the journey was smooth and enjoyable, from the game drives to the accommodations and meals. Their passion for the wildlife and conservation efforts was contagious, making the safari not just a vacation but an educational and meaningful experience.

Overall, Asante Bibi Safari Tours provided an unforgettable adventure. If you're looking for a well-organized, safe, and truly magical safari experience in Mikumi, I highly recommend them!
Warm thanks to Daudi, Rajabu, Pray and all the team !!

Fantastic Safari and Guide!
5/5

Our experience with Soul of Tanzania was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we started planning our trip, Marta, our trip organizer, was incredibly communicative and flexible. She made the entire process so straightforward and accommodating, especially with our last-minute changes. Marta’s professionalism and responsiveness helped ensure we had a smooth, stress-free experience leading up to and during the safari.

A special mention must go to our guide, Emmanuel, who truly made our safari unforgettable. His passion for the wildlife and culture of Tanzania shone through every day. Emmanuel was so patient and kind in answering all of our questions and worked tirelessly to make sure we saw all of the big five animals, including a leopard. We even managed to see cheetahs thanks to his expertise and determination. You could really see his love for what he does, and it made all the difference. We highly recommend requesting Emmanuel as your guide if you get the chance!

Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience, and we would highly recommend Soul of Tanzania for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Tanzania’s wildlife.

An unforgettable Safari experience
5/5

We booked a safari of 4 days, visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti parks. It was an amazing experience, and we had the possibility to plan the tour based on our needs and budget. We stayed one night in the Omega lodge and two nights at Osotua tented camp, both well equipped. Of course, as it’s a safari in the middle of the savana, it’s important to have a bit of flexibility and adaptation, but everything went well. A special thanks to Tom who created our plan and to our private guide Omary, who was the perfect travel buddy. I highly recommend a tour with them!

Once in a lifetime!
5/5

We had an unforgettable experience on our 4-day Tanzania tour. With the convenience of a private guide and safari vehicle, we explored Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. Our guide, Robinson, was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, making sure we had the best experience possible. We were lucky enough to see the Big 5, along with many other amazing animals during the safari. The accommodation and food were also top-notch.

I highly recommend this company to anyone planning a safari, no matter the length. They took care of everything from the moment we were picked up until the end of the tour. A big thanks to Manuel for helping us create the perfect safari experience!

Really unique experience
5/5

Roger and his nephew Justin are providing really private (we haven’t seen another tourists for the entire stay) experience. In tents, like safari used to be organized in the past, yet extremely comfortable. Hippos and elephants are making difficult to sleep, but already the second night you are going to enjoy it. We have been to many safaris in Africa and Asia, but nothing compares to it. It is worth every cent. If you go that far, instead of staying in permanent lodges close to Maun – go for the real experience. Highly recommended!

What a Great Customer Experience
5/5

I found Discover Africa via a web search and connected with Diane Du Plessis one their safari travel experts. As this was my second trip to Sth Africa I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted for my family this time around and specifically I wanted to return to Honeyguide Mantobeni in the Manyeletti private game reserve for the first leg of our safari, and I needed Diane to help us find another lodge for a different experience on the second leg of the holiday. Diane listened to what we wanted out of this holiday and put together a trip that was brilliant, including the lodges organising internal flights and transfers from airports to and from the lodges, all of which ran like clockwork. Diane even texted me while we were in transit from Singapore to Johannesburg to remind me that our internal Airlink flights were open for on-line check in. So, she was still working for us before we even got there. Absolute 5 star for her attention to detail.

Diane booked us into Honeyguide at my request. As I said I'd been there before and really enjoyed it. I would describe Honeyguide as a 4 star Lodge with very nice tented accommodation. Tents are elevated, have a nice seating area out front, shower, bathroom and good bed. If you want to feel like you're in Africa it works. The staff are very attentive and the meals are plentiful. It's not fine dining but more than adequate. If needed, they will cater for dietary requirements, in our case Dairy-free for our daughter. Drinks are not included in your package but beer wine and spirit prices are so reasonable it doesn't matter.

The lodge is situated on its own waterhole which attracts loads of wildlife. Zebra, antelope, wildebeest, elephant. Elephant roam the camp daily and come to drink from the lodge's swimming pool giving you a very up-close and personal experience. We had lion roaming through the camp at night and one large male lion came through during the day. So, you'll get wildlife in spades.

The game drives in Manyeletti make this the ideal first stop on a safari holiday. I would rate the game viewing 5 Star because of the variety and sheer numbers of animals and the landscape itself which is more open plains or savannah than bush. So if you are out on a drive looking for Lion, you will see herds of elephant, Zebra, Wildebeest etc along the way. We came upon 2 Cheetah enjoying their fresh kill one morning. As for Lion there are 2 or 3 Prides so no issue in terms of finding them. There's nothing quite like being eyeballed by a lioness as she strolls past your vehicle at a very intimate range. What are less prevalent in this reserve are Leopard which are just establishing themselves and Rhino which are at the far southern end of the reserve. The reserve is some 24,000 Hectares which is massive and the dirt roads are not kept in the best condition. They do not use trackers at Honeyguide so the Guide is playing a dual role. I suspect this is because of the abundance of wildlife and the radio communication with other lodge vehicles who operate within the reserve. I've been twice and I'll probably go back again. It's a wonderful experience which will not break the bank.

Diane did some research based on what we wanted and what we had experienced the yr before at Honeyguide and another Lodge in another province. She suggested Inyati in the Sabi Sands Private reserve which was about a 90 minute drive from Manyeletti. We went with her suggestion and were delighted with the whole experience. First the lodge is 5 star, the accommodation is individual chalets and the staff were amazing. Again food was plentiful with enough variety to suit any palate. The Lodge overlooks the Sand river with its resident Hippos and crocs antelope by the hundreds, elephant etc. This is a totally different experience than the first lodge, which is why Diane suggested it. Rather than open plains it is more bushland. The reserve is famous for Leopard and they roam freely in and around the Lodge. (had a leopard kill literally 3 meters from our chalet front door one night).

Upon arrival our guide asked us what we'd like to see that afternoon, we said Leopard and within 10 minutes our tracker found one. Saw Leopard cubs, saw Painted dogs with a litter of 10 pups, saw a painted dog running down an impala, lots of Rhino and rhino calves, Elephants, baby elephants Cape buffalo Lion and lion cubs. So the big 5 as well as the baby 5. Lions were more difficult to find at Inyati and it's probably because of the bushland setting and the Sabi Sands is another massive private reserve and the animals roam. Totally different experience, more tracking involved and not the masses of Zebra and Wildebeest along the way as you track down whatever it is you were looking for, but a herd of Giraffe running down the sand river and having your path blocked by Rhino or elephant is also quite the experience. The guide and tracker were excellent with amazing knowledge about every animal you came across including the wide variety of birdlife.

All drinks were included in the package and the staff couldn't be more helpful and delightful. The lodge has a gym but we preferred sitting on the lodge's main deck soaking up the view of the sand river and the wildlife with a cold drink in hand.

Great lodge, much more upmarket, tons of wildlife--a definite yes. Thanks Diane Du Plessis for putting together a holiday we'll talk about for years. Look forward to talking to you about what's next for us.

Great experience when climbing Mt. Kenya
5/5

Everything was flawless! They picked me up at a hotel, took to the office and then we headed to Mount Kenya NP. We went Sirimon route both directions. Kelvin was a great guide, helped me with everything I needed, chief Martin cooked delicious meals and we made it to the peak to see the sunrise at Point Lenana. I can not but recommend these guys, 10 out of 10.

Friendly, helpful and good quality to price ratio
5/5

My wife and I chose Almighty Kili to climb Kilimanjaro on the Machame route for 6 days.
The guides, porters and chef were very friendly and helpful during the trip. We appreciated the support of Joseph (main guide) and Muneer (support guide) during the summit attempt on the 5th day. Reaching the peak translated in a lot of joy and happiness. The view at the sunrise is unique and the experience is one of a kind.
During the trip we slept in a tent that was big enough for the both of us for eating and sleeping. The food was provided by the tour operator and had good variety. Hot water was always provided before the meals.

Here is a list of some things that we brought and found pretty useful during the trip:
1- cleaning/wet wipes (no shower for the entire climbing trip).
2- talc to keep our feet dry overnight.
3- packable jackets (light weight and non-voluminous at all).

PS: if you're not comfortable with using public toilets (simple hole without water), you could consider renting a portable toilet.

In our opinion the price we paid for the trip was fair and included the airport transfer and B&B stay before and after the trip.
