Such an experience is all thanks to KLA and our guide Gasper. He is a true savannah philosopher. He can always accurately tell where lions are hiding and where cheetahs are taking a nap under a tree, relying on some mysterious sense in the wind, the rustling grass, and the slightest trace left by animals. He tirelessly drives us around the boundless savannah in search, to let us see the most wonderful moments. We saw lots of lions, elephant herds, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hyenas, rhinoceros... Once we saw an elephant herd in the distance, Gasper said we should just wait and soon the herd would pass by us on their way to drink water over there. Sure enough, 15 minutes later, the elephant herd really came towards us! The guide's judgment was so amazing that I truly admired his professional skills! He also let us witness the wildebeest's crossing river 3 times in one day! He is not only a guide but also a knowledgeable teacher, patiently telling us about the social structure of lion prides, the differences between cheetahs and leopards, and each story makes the scene vivid and profound

The trip of a lifetime!
We had the trip of a lifetime in Tanzania with Richard! We explored Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, witnessed the great wildebeest migration, and even visited the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Richard took such amazing care of us and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals, especially the birds. He could spot wildlife from miles away!
He always seemed to know exactly where to find the animals, and I’ve never seen so many in one place before. Some unforgettable moments included a lion peeing on a car and watching huge herds of elephants cross right in front of us after Richard told us to wait patiently. Camping felt like a real adventure too, with elephants and zebras wandering (and hyena and lion noises lol) near camp at night.
The car was spotless every day, super comfortable, and always in perfect condition. Everything was so well planned from start to finish. Richard is our friend now, and we truly hope he can visit us in Canada someday!

Trip of a lifetime - terrific Tanzania safari
We had a group of 6 for a 6 day tour. Richard was engaged and enthusiastic from day 1, especially when it comes to identifying the many birds of East Africa. As others will mention, Richard had a great sense of humour and was very passionate about his job and went out of his way to make sure our trip was as memorable as could be.
We toured the vast Serengeti, experienced the wildebeest migration, saw lions, and leopards and rhinos (no bears), oh my! There so many animals everywhere! We ventured throguh the Ngorongoro Crater, and visited with the Hadzabe tribe.
The tour was very organized, the only thing we really had to lift was our binoculars. The camp was set up before we arrived and our meals were always ready so we could keep on rolling through the various ecosystems.
If you ever find yourself in Tanzania, you can't go wrong with Richard and Tanzania Memories!
