Rufus was a great guide. Entertaining and knowledgeable.
5/5

Communications were hassle free and my (many) emails were responded to quickly and professionally. CVery easy to book the safari we wanted inside the budget we had. Very accommodating in terms of a pick up point at the start of the safari and Rufus, our guide, was very friendly and entertaining. The transport is a little old but it does the job and it is not uncomfortable. Think it may have been a bit of a squash if there were 6 of us though. Thankfully, there were only 4. We ran into a bit of a disaster on our first night as there was a massive thunderstorm and, for some bizarre reason, there were no tents at the campsite we had booked. I am still unclear if there were actually no tents or if the rain had made the tents uninhabitable. In any event, Rufus scurried about in the rain for about an hour and fixed the problem for us. Nice little bonus was that, as a result of the mess up on night one, we were upgraded to the big fancy tents with electricity, a bathroom and real beds for night two. Nice touch. The food was very good considering the basic kitchen available to the chef. Rufus was a great guide on the actual safari. He knew all the good spots to try and find certain animals and never rushed us when we wanted to take the 800th picture of the lion cubs or the baby elephant we had just seen 5 minutes before that! He was also very experienced at judging where certain animals would be at certain times and when certain things would happen. As a result, we got to see a mini crossing of the wildebeest on our last morning. We had a great time and, while the accommodation may be basic, you know what you are in for if you choose to sleep in a tent. And, in any event, who goes on Safari to sit in a room? Would recommend the company and would go with them again if I got the chance. Thoroughly recommend a safari though. While we have all seen those animals 1000s of times on TV, there is nothing that will prepare you for seeing a lioness with her cubs about 2 metres from you. Or seeing lions mate in front of you. Or being so close to a cheetah that you can see him mark his territory. And the ongoing hilarity that is warthogs. Thumbs up.

There is no any other place for touring other than visiting African Habitat Safaris.kudos.
5/5

Life has never been the same, not especially after tour into these East African destination over a week spent out of the country. Our expectation arriving in Nairobi Kenya were not as great as the trips to Masaai Mara and AmboseliParis turned out to be. In my opinion we were attached to the most suitable tour guide to share with us his comprehensive know of the terrain and nature of the wildlife.A remarkable two days in the Amboseli and another three days In the Mara were memorable with there sensational games drives and interaction with the native communities made the week an extraordinary one.

High quality experience with amazing affordablility!
5/5

We did the three day Amboseli safari and were amazed with the entire experience from Karibu. We were picked up promptly on time in Nairobi and made it to Amboseli by early afternoon. We were situated and served lunch at Kimana Tented Camp before participating in an afternoon game drive. The next day was spend entirely on game drive in the park, complete with plenty of elephant, buffalo, hippo, zebra, and wildebeest sightings. The last day started with an early morning game drive and then we drove back to Nairobi, arriving around mid afternoon.
Overall, we were very happy with our choice of Karibu. Arony, our driver guide, was incredibly caring by ensuring that we were comfortable and knowledgeable regarding the wildlife and their behaviors. Charles cooked delicious and tasty meals all the way through.
Looking forward to another experience with Karibu!

2017 Kilimanjaro ascent via Umbwe with ALBA
5/5

A group of 12 mountaineers and hikers from CAAL (a Portuguese outdoor activities association) climbed the Kili in the end of Aug 2017 (with 2 first days via the Umbwe route, due to scenic and to avoid crowds).
African Lovebirds Adventures (ALBA) organized everything for us. In a single word, we rate their work as excellent.
Starting with manager Aloyce, who solved minor issues without fuzzing, to the last porter, everyone was great in their job and always with a smile; the guides team, lead by August, also performed in a very professional way.
After the Kili, we went for a few days trek, starting in Ngorongoro and ending in the Natron lake, also organized with ALBA; different activity and support team, equal satisfaction.
As far as we know, ALBA is a local company; this was a point for us when choosing the safari company, and we are totally satisfied with our decision.
(Note: From this review, you may not assume that you will never face issues whatever you do, this applies to ALBA or any other company; understanding the local culture and context before you go is mandatory; also know what you are doing; for instance, in our way we decided to reach Uhru peak in 5 days, skipping the strongly recommended extra acclimatization day; we could not blame ALBA if we could not reach the top.)

Excellent service - above and beyond five star
5/5

Clyde at Tailormade Africa was endlessly patient and worked tirelessly to customise our holiday. This was our first family safari with our 7, 11 and 14 year old and Clyde was an absolute delight to deal with as he answered my endless questions with his obvious in depth knowledge of the area. I changed my mind as to where we wanted to go, when we wanted to go, for how long etc and Clyde coped with admirable good cheer with the constant change of itinerary. He was also there to help us on the telephone once we arrived in Tanzania as my daughter developed a terror of flying on the small planes. He researched the carrier's safety record and suggested we scheduled a phone conversation with my daughter and Clyde before the flight. Clyde phone therapy session worked and he managed to calm her fears enough that she did get on the next flight. Sadly we had to cut short our holiday for family reasons, and Clyde was again on hand to help us re-arrange flights and transport. Before our holiday was cut short we had a wonderful safari at a lovely lodge with delicious food and great guides. I can't recommend Tailormade Africa enough. Without doubt the best travel agent I have ever used.
