Very exotic safari with a incredible guide
5/5

If you want to learn anything about Kenya wildlife you just have to get Karanja and his green car. Its the best way! Amazing journey that started in Nairobi, then to Lake Nakuru where we have seen a real chase. Karanja (safari guide) is always looking for this moments and the peacefull ones.
Masai Mara was the REAL safari, and doing our first safari of life here with Karanja was really amazing and believe me, National Geographic is wonderfull but this is awsome.
First you decide what you want to see and for how long and Karanja look for it. We have seen cheetah, leopard, elephants, buffalos, lion, lioness, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, crocodiles, bushbuck, gazelles...
Karanja took us to a places where nobodys was and we've seen dozens of elephants, lionesses, and beautifuls and rares antelops in a absolute silence. And that part was perfect to us because so much people and so much cars around you is a litle bit annoying (second week of July is very crowdy because of the wildbeests imigration, but - for us - is the best time to do safaris: all the animals are starving and ready to kill to eat).
Karanja is a very good professional safari guide because he respect all the nature and the animals around you. You feel that you are in a sanctuary very well protected and you feel that all animals matters, not only the big 5.
It was a dream and a privilege to be in Kenya with Features Africa Journeys and we certainly come back soon to see others nationals parks with this amazing tour operator.

Memorable Trip to Namibia - Fantastic Accommodations
5/5

Discover Africa put together a fantastic itinerary for us and we had no travel hassles. We stayed at Villa Violet in Windhoek (1 night), Little Kalula Lodge in Sossusvlei (3 nights), and GoncheGanas in Windhoek (1 night). Each place was lovely, VERY comfortable, and had parking. We had very personal service at Little Kalula. We loved the Little Kalula team and our guide, Goodley. Little Kalula has a private entrance to the Sossusvlei park, so we didn't have to wait in line or drive 30 minutes out of the way to the entrance. The "big daddy" dune and dead flay were stunning. We went on a memorable quad bike adventure in the Namib Desert with Goodley as well. At GoncheGanas, we were so fortunate to see the white rhino and her baby (only 5 remaining in the park). Excellent game sightings here.

Planned and executed well to the last detail
5/5

Traveling with a large group is generally a challenge but the level of detail of planning and consistency in execution made this one of the most memorable family vacation ever. The personal touches to ensure not only dietary needs were met but personal preferences as well was very much appreciated. The guides for the safari tours were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and eager to please. Living from the Kimundo camp was our favorite though all were impressive. The tent accommodations were beyond expectations and the service for morning wake up, showers and laundry as well as wifi connection were quite unexpected and appreciated. I would highly recommend the experience provided by Discover Africa to anyone planning a safari trip.

Incredible Chimpanzee and Gorilla Visits
5/5

We had a late night arrival in Entebbe and got a little shut eye before Moses picked us up from the airport, the next 5 days were an incredible experience. Nicholas organized my custom safari for me, and we went to Kibale national park for chimpanzees, Queen Elizabeth national park, then finally Bwindi National park for gorilla trekking. The lodges that Nicholas set us up in were fantastic, and all of them had hot running water and cellular service. Nicholas made the process extremely easy, and the value we got for our money was absolutely top notch. Moses was a fantastic driver, and kept us entertained the entire time. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and the areas, teaching us about the local culture as well. I would not use any other tour operator, as I do not think that ATA can be beat. Thanks again to Nicholas and Moses for a once in a lifetime opportunity. Just beware that on the gorilla trekking you may want to bring gloves as some of the plants are prickly and can cut your hands a little. And for those looking for a classic game safari along with your gorilla/chimpanzee trekking you may want to see if you have time to do Murchison Falls instead of Queen Elizabeth, as the game there is significantly better. We weren't there for a classic safari, as we've already done those in Kenya and Tanzania, we were just there for the primates which did not disappoint.

Professional yet familiar; Suricata provided us with a fantastic hiking and safari experience
5/5

After pick-up at the airport, we spent one night in the city centre of Arusha at a nice hotel before heading off the following day. Our guides Luki, Alex and Freddy introduced themselves and briefed us on the coming days and were happy to answer all of our questions. With us on the hike we had a team of 21 guys that helped carry our things, cooked us hot meals in the mornings and evenings and most importantly; brought us a huge portion of laughter, singing, dancing and motivation. The hike itself is quite a walk, but with its magic scenery and the many great stories told by our guides on the way, there was never a thought of turning back. Camping meant some chilly nights when reaching the higher altitudes, so warm clothes is a must of course, but the hot soup served before dinner also helps! Finally, the summit day arrives. While legs are getting tired, the excitement to finally reach the peak is what brought us all the way up. Starting off at the base camp under a sky full of stars, the moonlight shines bright enough to turn off your headlight. After some climbing, the sun begins to rise and the mountain comes to life right in front of you. Simply put, it cannot be described but must be experienced!

Safari is of course a must when visiting Tanzania, and once again Suricata made sure we got the most out of our days! We spent three days exploring Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Park and saw herds of zebras, wildebeests and elephants as well as leopards and lions and many many more. Our guide Mandela knew tons about the animals and could easily spot them for us where there seemed to be nothing. The nights were spent in a lodged camping where every night a campfire was lit and locals would come to hangout, have a beer and listen to the live music. Overall, we had a great time and already planning our next trip back to visit the Serengeti!

Tongesai & John made our trip to Zimbabwe hassle-free and extremely enjoyable!
5/5

Tongesai was extremely helpful in our booking process for our trip to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Hwange National Park. He took care of all the details, and created a specialized itinerary to work around all of our flight times. He even surprised us with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi for our free night. John was our driver and tour guide of the falls, and we enjoyed talking to him and learning all about Zimbabwe. We would highly recommend this group to anyone looking to plan a trip to the area.

Amazing in all aspects & best of 6 Safari Park visits I’ve had.
5/5

The tour far exceeded all expectations in regard to every aspect - organisation, accommodation, food, wild life experiences, and the knowledge and skill of Ants, our guide/driver.

Having seen the Big 5 on our 1st day in Kruger, which was only the 2nd day of our 25 day tour, I’d have been quite happy to have gone home after that.

Then I had so many more days when I kept saying, “I can go home now”.
The animals we sighted and how close we got to them, was way beyond what I thought would be possible.
Had I leant over out of the vehicle I could have patted a huge male lion as he walked by!
All within the group were able to get within 10m of White Rhinos.

My prime purpose for going, was to photograph the animals and birds, and I’ve returned with 3,000+ photos.
I’m more than delighted with hundreds of these.

Would I go again? - YES.

Would I recommend this tour to others? - YES, I already had, even before the tour was finished!

Could the tour be improved? -YES, by allowing one extra day in Victoria Falls, as there is so much to see and do there, plus for the guide/driver to have a microphone, so that everyone in the vehicle can hear what Ants shares. He is so knowledgeable on EVERYTHING, that all travelling in the vehicle really need to hear what he’s saying.

JUST AWESOME, VERY MUCH CARING AND WONDERFUL TRAVEL AGENCY
5/5

We two friends went to visit Kenya and a little part of Tanzania on 28.07.2018 from India with Kenya Walking Survivors Ltd. I travel through out the year. Sometimes alone and sometimes with travel agencies. I never saw a nice travel agency like Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris Ltd. The owner Mr. Otieno is an wonderful person. He cared every little thing of our entire tour of 15 days. His every staff is very nice person and also very caring. Specially Mr. Ruben-- our safari guide cum driver is just awesome and very much knowledgeable. We saw the THE GREAT MIGRATION at SAND RIVER only because of him. We also saw LION-HUNTING at the time of safari only because of Ruben. We are really very much thankful to KWSS for those memorable days at NAIROBI, MASAIMARA, LAK NAIVASHA, AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK at KENYA and ZANZIBAR at TANZANIA. Once again thank you KWSS. I strongly recommend the tourists of all over the world to contact KWSS for memorable African Safari.

Emanuel Made This Trip our Best Ever!
5/5

We are a retired couple in our early 60's who have traveled extensively. When booking a safari in Tanzania, the quality of your guide is critical to the experience. We could not have chosen better.

Emanuel has a passion for nature and the local culture that he shares with enthusiasm. His depth of knowledge about the wildlife is beyond impressive. We felt as if we were being guided on our 12 day adventure through this amazing habitat by one of the leading Tanzanian experts, and he happened to have a wonderful sense of humor as well.

Of all our trips in many parts of the world, this one was the most dependent on the quality of the guide. Fortunately for us, Emanuel made it our best trip ever.
