Flexible and effiencient at organising a trip to the destinations we had chosen.
4/5

Communications were good during the setting up of the safari. The final itinerary and communications near the date of the holiday were a bit late but this did not effect the trip. The tour lived up to our expectations and we enjoyed our wildlife experiences in Katavi and Ruaha as well as the evening in Dar es Salaam.

Awesome trip of a lifetime!
5/5

Just returned from a 6 day safari with AfriShare. My family of 9 had 2 cars and 2 guides. I never expected to see so many animals. It exceeded all my expectations by far. The guides were great and answered all our questions about animals and other things. We had certain animals we most wanted to see and they made sure we were able to see them. The places they arranged for us to stay were also all great. Hard to say which one was my favorite. There was something special about each place we stayed. I would book with this company again anytime and will recommend it to anyone I know wishing to travel to this region. This was definitely a trip of a lifetime for my family.

Everything was very well planned and organized
5/5

Communication with Lennox was fantastic beginning many months before the trip. He and his wonderful staff have answered all my interrogations via e-mail and that was the main reason why my wife and I chose Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris. Pick-up at the hotel was on-time. The Safari tents at Camp Lenchada were much better than during my first safari in the Masai-mara a few years back. They were equipped with a hot water shower and a toilet. Beds were very comfortable. Visiting a Masai village is a must. I strongly recommend it. They were very welcoming. Many thanks to Augustus who brought us there. During the 3-day Safari, We saw the big 4 (excluding the Rhino which has become so rare to spot - haven't seen any during my first Safari either) and a lot of other animals, too numerous to mention here. The stop at Narok was a bit too long with our driver Dennis, over an hour and a 40 minutes, I am sure there is a possibility to accelarate things at Narok in order to spend more time on a Safari. Having mentioned that, we really appreciated our safari with our driver Dennis and we strongly recommend Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris.

Incredible Lifetime Experience in Masai Mara
5/5

Antony Gitau of Tazama Africa Holidays was recommended to us by friends who live in Kenya and his services were fantastic. We had a very last minute change to our itinerary, one day, to add another 3 day safari in Masai Mara and Anthony came through with accommodating our wishes that far exceeded our expectations. Anthony was able to book our accommodations at a safari camp inside of Masai Mara that was incredible, the location, the staff, the food, just fantastic. Even last minute during the height of the tourism season he provided a driver, Steven, who was so nice, patient, knowledgeable about the animals and maneuvering around the reserve to give us an experience of a lifetime. Anthony was very easy to communicate with...he met us at the beginning of the safari as well as at the end and accommodated us to the airport, as this portion of our visit to Kenya was the end. I would definitely use the services of Antony with Tazama Africa Hoildays for our next safari adventure. Unforgettable, wonderful experience!!

Very eye-opening, exciting and satisfactory overall.
4/5

We are happy and satisfied with the service and communication provided by African Welcome Safaris.

As for our trip experience, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed ourselves a lot, but the trip would be even better except for the following:

(1) Our original confirmed booking in Kuria Hills Lodge was cancelled and we had to stay in Kuria Lemala Camp instead. The land cruisers supplied by Lemala Camp was not in good shape and the food could be better.
(2) We were bumped out of Treetop Lodge despite our confirmed and fully paid booking made one year ago. Even though the compensation package is acceptable, many of us are still quite unhappy with this unexpected change.

Other than the above, the trip was great and we particularly like the gorilla trekking and the Bisate Lodge. We will recommend them to our friends in Hong Kong.

Brilliant!
5/5

This was our second trip with Kenya Walking Survivors. We enjoyed ourselves so much the first time that we decided to return.

This time we had an itinerary designed for us based on what places we wanted to visit.

Our driver, John was good natured with a great sense of humour and an infectious laugh. He did everything he could to ensure we had a good time. We didn’t just have a good time, we had a wonderful time.

KWS offers great value for money. The accommodation, while not 5 Star was nevertheless very good. Clean and comfortable with friendly, helpful staff and good food.

A special mention to Sekenani Lodge in Masai Mara for the care they gave to one of our group who fell ill. I doubt she would have had better in a medical facility. Grace and her staff went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable and looked after. Even checking on her at regular intervals.

As stated earlier this was our second trip with KWS and I have nodoubt it won’t be our last.

Mr OT, who handles enquiries and bookings replies to all emails quickly and efficiently.

If you are contemplating a trip to Kenya I highly recommend Kenya Walking Survivors. I doubt you will find better value for money anywhere else.

Amazing Tour
5/5

This is the second trip to Kenya with KWSS. This trip was a tailor made tour to Samburu & Maasia Mara, Mr OT was very accommodating with booking this trip. We got to meet him before the start of our tour & he is as lovely in person as I thought he would be.
John our driver/guide was a lovely man with a great sense of humour. We saw some breathtaking things including Leopards mating in the Maasia Mara. This was the highlight of my trip.
We would not hesitate to book with KWSS again & are already hoping to go back next year.
This company are one of the cheapest & do not skimp on service. I would highly recommend to anyone.

An unforgettable experience
5/5

Over 40 individual lions, cheetahs (including a mother with cubs), leopards, black rhino, hippos, elephants with young, hyena, jackals, zebras, wildebeest, giraffe - the list was endless. And one of the best experiences was lying in bed in a tent just listening to the noise of the animals outside - magical.

And Deo did so much to make sure that it was more than just a "tick-off" the animals experience. We spent time watching what they did and how they interacted with each other. On one occasion we came across a pride of lions feeding on a kill. They were surrounded by jackals, hyenas and vultures and we watched enthralled as the "hangers-on" tried to muscle in and get some of the meat. The jackals were the most successful, sneaking in and grabbing a bit while the vultures and hyenas looked on. When the lions finished and moved on they all rushed in and it was over in a few seconds.

That is the thing about wildlife - just be there and experience it.

And Deo also makes sure that he respects the wildlife and explains how important this is. We work with otters ourselves and know how vital it is that people are able to watch the wildlife without disturbing it.

Deo knows so much about nature and is patient in pointing out the leopard hiding in a tree, which you had missed! Plus he is good fun to be with.

You will not be disappointed if you book a trip with him.

Excellent
5/5

Oakland tours were able to meet our expectations to the maximum, and give us a service according to our budget. This was really good and i would gladly recommend them to my friends. We did a lot of rescheduling and they were able to accommodate us. The hotel they recommended was very good, clean rooms, very good personalized service, good food.

Thank you Oakland.
