Great detail - Astonishing safari
5/5

Safari Lifestyles were by far the most responsive and knowledgable of the 3 tour operators we looked at... they were the only one local in Botswana and it was clear from the outset that they stood head and shoulders above the rest... Very happy we chose them.

Firstly we wanted to go to Chobe... where the other two operators just provided lodge recommendations, Roger asked us why we wanted to go to Chobe, stating that it was a very busy area... he was right as we just wanted to go for the name and have since found out that there are much quieter areas... The rest of Botswana was simply unmissable

We took Safari Lifestyles advice and ended up having the best 9 nights imaginable. Unbelievable wildlife experience.

Information was very quick, payment was safe and feedback superb... backed up with a comprehensive website with all the lodges.

Already planning a trip in 2019 and will definitely be using them again.

Six day safari booked at the last minute but still professionally organised impressive itinerary
5/5

My initial search made on "Safari Bookings" was followed up promptly with a can-do attitude with the tour being put together booked and confirmed within ten days! We were picked up promptly at eight from the hotel by Ben our driver/guide and Victor handed us our itinerary this had all been confirmed the day before by "WhatsApp" and in person by Victor. This was a mid-range tour and we were not let down our first stop on the road for buffet lunch was really tasty as were all other meals in the camps and picnics.

All accommodation was as expected and to a high standard in good locations although some tricky to get to but well driven by Ben.

The safari itself was full of animals the big five plus plus each of the three locations for specific animal sets, Lake Nakuru for Rhino, Maasai Mara for most things including leopard and hundreds of elephants at Amboseli

Thanks to Victor and Ben for a memorable trip

Great cross-country experience (Dar to Ruaha and back) with knowledgeable and thoughtful guide.
5/5

We chose Grassroots Safaris because we liked the idea of a journey across Tanzania rather than touching down on the coast and national parks only. We traveled from Dar Es Salaam through Morogoro and Iringa to Ruaha, stopped for a great hike in the Udzungwa mountains, visited Ruaha NP for several days, and then drove back with a stop in Mikumi NP. The drive in the safari vehicle is long but totally worth it! Every stop was planned carefully, but allowed our intergenerational family group (which included grandparents and teenagers) enough flexibility that we never felt pressured or rushed. We loved seeing the variety of the Tanzanian landscapes, from mountain ranges to highlands to baobab forests, villages, road-side markets, Masai herders, etc. Both in Ruaha and Mikumi we saw tons of animals including lions and a leopard. Our guide, Fikiri, was THE BEST. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, flexible, patient, and we truly enjoyed getting to know him on this trip. He was always happy to answer our many questions on his country, its history, the variety of its cultures and languages, as well as the animals we saw. You will be lucky to have him as your guide.

Great company and incredible gorilla trekking
5/5

Justus at Gorilla Bookings was great to work with. He was incredibly responsive to questions (I don't think he sleeps!) and created an amazing trip for us to visit the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. Spending time with the Gorillas was an amazing life experience, one we will never forget. Four of us traveled to Uganda for our 30th Anniversaries to see the Gorillas and the trip was perfect. Ben our local guide was great. The trekking was more difficult than we thought, but it was absolutely worth every ache and pain. I highly recommend this trip and definitely book with Gorilla Bookings-they are the BEST!

Great Guide & Safari who worked with our family well.
5/5

Our trip was booked by an agent and Somak handled the Kenyan part of the tour for us. Our driver David, was excellent and friendly. His knowledge of the Maasai Mara was excellent and he took the time to work out any birds we saw that he was unsure of the names of.

Made our Kenya Safari a real pleasure for our family.

We had 3 great days in Mikumi. Our guide took care of everything and was very attentive. The lodge we stayed in was great. Would do the Safari again at any time.

Discover Africa Is The Best!
5/5

Our first Africa safari trip was even better than we had hoped for, due in large part to Discover Africa's excellent tour operator, Matthys van Aswegen. Matthys was unbelievably patient in helping us plan the trip we wanted, arranging for everything beforehand, and answering our endless questions, which I am sure he had heard a thousand times, as if he was hearing them for the first time. Discover Africa came very highly recommended to us by Sabi Sabi, one of the premier lodges in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, which gave us confidence that they were not only a reputable company, but that they really knew what they were doing. And they did! There were absolutely no surprises on the trip, all reservations were confirmed ahead of time, the Sabi Sabi Selati Camp where we stayed was top-notch all the way, with an extraordinary staff, knowledgeable guides and trackers, and food and accommodations that were absolutely five-star. We will definitely work with Discover Africa again for our next Africa adventure. Thank you, Matthys, for helping us have the trip of a lifetime! John Chiego

Sucessive trip to east africa - kenya
4/5

We had booked a 6 days and 5 nights package to Kenya through mara triangle safaris covering amboselli, naivashu and masai mara.Though it was a short time we pretty much covered the important places of Kenya. We thought that in Africa we would come across some obstacles like language and food but lucy and our driver kristopher were cordial enough to help us out in our difficulties. It was an enjoyable trip of course as well as a valuable and educative trip, knowing the cultures and traditions of the masais was real fun. Overall I enjoyed the trip, Lucy was in touch with us throughout the trip and made sure we were comfortable and so was kristopher.
I will surely recommend this company to anyone traveling to Kenya as they are really committed and value for money.
