A pleasant one-day safari
5/5

We appreciate the speed of response the company answered our emails. Our guide, Willem, was great. He met us at the airport when our flight arrived at 4am. He was very informative about the safari, animals, and country in general. He made an great effort to look for animals. Overall, we were very pleased with the company and our guide, and happy to recommend them to future travelers.

Choose Across the wild tours for your Kenya safari tour
5/5

From the beginning to the end, everything was perfect and well organized.

I compared more than 5 operators before I choose Across the wild tours for my 5 day safari tour.
Tina, in charge of customer handling, responded kindly to my request from the begging to the end. I customized my itinerary and she offered the best price among the 5+ operators. She gave me the prompt and kind feedback even though I changed my itinerary several times.
Steve, experienced guide, was fully knowledgeable about Masai mara area. He explained in details everytime we saw the animals. I will definitely recommend this operator to my friends.

Exceptional
5/5

Working with Christine at Wildlife Safaris was a pleasure. She answered all of our questions and made it easy for us to book. Our guide, Hoppi, was excellent. He worked hard to find wonderful wildlife and attended to all of our needs. I wish we could have spent more time in Kruger.

I was very happy with my GameSafari to Pilanesberg National Park with MoAfrica.

The drivers were punctual, and helpful to pick up and drop of in my hotel. The Guide in Park ( Ross ) is great and show the way to saw a great number of animals:

We are lucky today:
Cheetah, Lions, Elephant, Giraffes, Rhinos, Impalas, Zebras, Gnus, hippos, crocodiles and so on.

The Contacts are easy including using whatsapp.

Definatly

Thank you to the Spirit of Kenya team for making our trip one of our most memorable ones..Rocked it!
5/5

Our trip was amazing..!!! The Spirit of Kenya folks planned it to near perfection, the execution was flawless. All of the hotels and camps we stayed at were top-notch. Most of the other tours we went were hurried in some fashion or another on a couple days, but this one was just the right amount of rest and travel. I will definitely look to you again for another one in the next couple years with a larger group of family members.

A few words about George. He is one of the best guides we've ever had. He executed the plan flawlessly. Best part, he has tremendous knowledge and expertise. While we were enjoying, had lots of fun and had the time of our life, George owned ensuring our success, safety and security, becoming our trusted adviser. I just could not have asked for more. The trip just would not have been a success without him by our side. Oh, and he has tremendous patience answering our silly (And sometimes dumb) questions :), and HE CAN DRIVE ON UNFORGIVING ROADS FOR A LENGTHY TIME.. !!! He is now a friend for life.

We came in with the hopes of seeing wildlife in a natural habitat. We experienced much more than just wildlife spotting - we experienced the people, the culture, the traditions of the Maasai and hospitality of Kenya. 9 days went by really fast :(. So thanks again, and thanks to George. We look forward to more of trips with your team, and not once hesitate to refer you to my friends and family.

Amazing safari with Joshua
5/5

We worked with Original Tanzania to help organize a 7-day trip for our family, with 5-6 days on safari in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. We began planning in earnest in early May for a late June safari. Sarah was our primary contact for the organizing stage, and then Joshua was our guide while we were in Tanzania. We had such an amazing experience with Original Tanzania and would wholeheartedly recommend them!!

Arranging the trip:
We had reached out to Sarah with basic guidelines on what we wanted (e.g., length of trip; possible dates; a vague sense of what we wanted to do), and she really helped drive the process from there. She is incredibly knowledgeable and responsive -- both over email and on WhatsApp, even hopping on the phone with us to help answer questions, reassure us, and organize the smallest of details. She not only helped us with the basic logistics (e.g., booking accommodations; figuring out what schedule would let us visit all the sites we wanted; etc.), but also advised us on all of the other travel minutiae that pop up (e.g., vaccines / medications we would need; tipping guidelines; packing lists; etc.) I cannot imagine how we would have organized this trip without her help.

While on safari / in Tanzania:
Once we got to Tanzania, Joshua picked us up from the airport and was our guide for all of safari. (William from Original Tanzania also met us at our hotel the first night to confirm that all was well - we definitely felt well taken care of!) It's hard to explain how great Joshua is!!

Joshua is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about all of the different animals and sights you'll see on safari. We saw so many animals up close (cheetahs, baby elephants, lions, giraffes, crocodiles, a rhino, warthogs, hippos, lilac-breasted rollers, cranes, zebras, baboons, buffalo, eagles, gazelles, wildebeest, impalas, ostriches -- you name it!) due to Joshua's excellent eye and uncanny knack for positioning us right where the action was. He knows so much about all of the animals and the landscape and had such patience sharing that information with us, even as we kept asking the same questions over and over again!

He's also incredibly sensitive to what you're excited about and how you're feeling through all of safari. For example, he noticed that our family was particularly taken with baby elephants and warthogs, so took extra care to spend more time with those animals and consistently point them out. He always seems to know when you're ready to move on vs. when you want to just sit and enjoy watching a certain scene which was great to keep our day moving at just the right pace. He's incredibly friendly, upbeat, and personable, and we really had such a wonderful time due to all of his energy and effort. Thanks, Joshua!!

It was nice to have everything taken care of; Kenya is fabulous.
5/5

Shaheen is very good at keeping in contact with her clients by email. Make sure to ask questions and get details so that you are up to speed on your trip. She even organized a trip to a school where we could drop off donations we brought with us.
Being on safari in Kenya should be on most peoples' bucket list. The wildlife, scenery and atmosphere is amazing. It was an usually late wet season in 2018 so we saw SO MANY animals in Lewa and Ambosli while there were not as many in Masai Mara, which we hear is unusual. Because safari is so closely dependent on Mother Nature, there is no way to tell, so I'd suggest adding locations to increase your odds!
WD can organize air or ground travel during your trip (so make sure to be specific with what you'd like - it makes a difference!). We stayed at the Fairmont Mt. Kenya which was beautiful. We also stayed at several Elewana Collection resorts and they were AMAZING. The service and level of attention to detail at Elewana is out of this world! Elewana was an excellent choice of hotel line.
