Another Great Experience
5/5

Our second holiday in South Africa was unforgettable, almost better than the first one in 2016.
Darren is a very capable, proficient and skilled person: he took care of us in each instant of our vacation, allowing us to travel safely and peacefully from the beginning until the end.
As concerns our visits to the wineries (Wellington, Swartland, Worcester, Robertson, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek) the wine specialist of Compass Odyssey was very agreeable; we experienced a new way of visiting wineries by personalizing the visits and making a sort of friendship with every winery which received us. I would like to define these 3 days spent in visiting South African wineries as something really appreciable and in the same time very pleasant.
As for our safari, we requested to Darren to make a reservation in a luxury lodge and the lodge he chose for us was magnificent, like a great castle in a fairytale. We lived to the full our safari thanks to a very professional ranger who permitted us to see all the Big Five Game Animals (elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino) more than once.
All in all, I would like to underline that I consider Compass Odyssey one of the best options to plan and to organize a travel in South Africa and Darren is a highly competent and professional person.

Amazing and educational walking safari in pristine area
5/5

I participated in 2 safaris on this (my first) trip to Africa. The Walking Stick Safari involved 4 nights at a very nicely set up tent camp on a small island near Chief's Island. Philimon picked me up at the airport in Maun and took me to my lodging for 1 night in Maun. The following morning, we took a beautiful boat trip to the bush camp. Philimon, BK (my guide) and Jo (the camp chef) were all very professional and competent. I traveled as a single female and within a couple of hours I felt right at home, perfectly safe and comfortable. Mornings and afternoons we would travel by mokoro or speed boat to a neighboring island and explore. They were very interested in helping me see the animals I was most interested in seeing. They were always aware of our surroundings and made safety a priority. I was thrilled to be able to see zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodile, hyenas, antelope and numerous birds. Elephants were quite numerous and it was a thrill to see a family of females attempt to cross the river with babies. Because this was a walking safari, the terrain was intact and the area was quiet. We only encountered one other tourist group during the entire 4 days I was there - and that was for a very brief period. BK and Philimon are very, very knowledgeable about the animals and plants and their interactions within the ecosystem and I was honored to be able to learn so much from them. They are born and raised in the delta and the experience they provided far exceeded my expectations. In comparison to the traditional safari I did subsequently at Machaba Camp, the Walking Stick Safari was so much more fun and authentic. I absolutely recommend Walking Stick Safari for anyone looking for a more peaceful, engaging, authentic and relatively inexpensive safari than what can be had at a typical lodge.

An ultimate luxury wildlife Safari with Drive Tanzania Ltd
5/5

It is an undeniable fact that there is no dearth of wildlife safari solutions in the African region today. What makes Drive Tanzania Ltd unique is customization to transform wildlife safari packages into luxury packages. Such options are rare thus comparatively unaffordable in many cases. While approaching this party, I had the apprehension that perhaps such packages would make a big hole in my pocket.

Thanks God, nothing such happened and I enjoyed once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being largest online market in the African region, Drive Tanzania Ltd provides best solution to wildlife explorers. My experience was beyond the expectation because this operator equally focused on making the tour a luxury—something which used to be a taboo in practicality in the recent past. We were made to enjoy momentous moments in groups. Being provided opportunity to explore good variety in my safari excursion made me realize the value of time to assess the nature and its beauty.

A rewarding wildlife safari experience, my tour planned by Drive Tanzania Ltd team made good sense of a travel to remember in my lifetime. What more I could expect that besides fun and adventure which this package offered alongside its luxurious element as if a royal retreat.

I am so much enchanted from the uniquely designed package that I am keen to explore it more for rest destinations. Go for it to have your firsthand experience of wildlife safari which distinguishes in many ways. Luxuriousness makes it a truly appealing one for all and sundry.

Mt. Kenya: Great Value for a Once-in-A-Lifetime Experience
5/5

In July, four of us (Americans in our late 20s) completed the 4 day Mt. Kenya Sirimon- Chogoria trek with a team of 7. We found Equitorial Star to be the most economical option and were thrilled by the level of service we still received. The porters were friendly and professional. The food was good. Our guide, Patrick, took excellent care of us and was very knowledgeable of surrounding plant and animal life, as well as safety on the mountain. He even lent one of us his dry shoes when ours got too wet! Of note, and of no fault of the company's, the third day of the trek is very long and rigorous. If you choose to complete this trek in 4 days, be prepared for Day 3 to be one of the longest and most challenging hiking days. Despite our sometimes waning spirits on that day, Patrick and his team took great care of us. Mt. Kenya was unforgettable!

After some initial confusion with pick up the whole trip was very professionally conducted
4/5

This was our first safari experience and we loved it. Jeffrey our guide and leader of the group was always finding ways to enhance our experience. The drives were exciting and excellent. Quite late in the evening he organised our balloon safari for the morning. We would highly recommend this if it fits the budget ($450 pp). Our guides and staff at the lodges were very friendly.
The only negative was the initial pick up which could have been better coordinated and enhanced our experience at lake Nakuru. But in nature holidays these things happen. So overall very good.

We had a great experience , more than we expect.
5/5

The Gosheni's staff is very reliable and available. The quality of food was impressive. And the lodging was more than adequate. And the safari tour was memorable especially because of our guide (jambo Samir!) who knows almost everything about the tanzanian fauna , who sees animals where they hide and especially, put up with the talking of our family :-) Akuna matata

We went to Kenya on safari and Wildebeest was great to work with and the trip was a success.
5/5

We really thought the services were first-rate. Dennis, our tour guide, was very accommodating and we had a great time on safari with him. It was apparent that he really wanted us to experience the best of gaming and we saw the big five as well as other species that were magnificent to see. We had a couple of requests and Dennis was able to assist us while ensuring we stayed on schedule. We will use Wildebeest on our next trip to Kenya and Tanzania.

Everything worked fine
5/5

AA took me from Nairobi to Vic Falls and I really enjoyed the experience. The group had people from different ages and backgrounds, from uni students to retired ladies. After a few days you feel very familiar to your travel buddies and there is a general feeling of cordiality and warmth. The food was great and I could make it healthysh. There is options for vegetarians, lots of fruits and vegetables if you like.
The truck is fine if you keep in mind that an overland camping tour in Africa not supposed to be comfortable. I felt safe all the time and reafirmed my belief that dangerous places are not necessarily those where many people live a very simple life.
Do it!
