The trip of a liftetime in Kenya!
When planning our African Safari, I wanted it to cater to my hobby as a photographer, yet also offer the luxury that my wife could enjoy. But I had no idea where to start. Our travel advisor Maggie was amazing form the very start and planned an itinerary that checked all the boxes, and also helped us experience the different flavours of Kenya, from the dry red soil and hilly topography of Samburu to the green plains of the Masai Mara.
There was a small miscommunication around our pickup on our arrival at Nairobi, but that's where it was useful having Toon, our concierge, to call who cleared up the mixup. The rest of the trip was an absolute dream. We saw all kinds of wildlife, met the most amazing people and enjoyed the exquisite food. The staff at both lodges are incredible, and at no point did we have to worry about logistics as everything was taken care of. It is by far the most unforgettable trip we've ever had, and we can't wait to do something like it again. In the meant time I have hundreds of images that I can relive the trip through.
There's no doubt that we'll use Wayfairer again to plan our next trip.

A True Once in a Lifetime Experience!
Lion King was wonderful to work with. All transport from airport to hotels was provided at pick up and departure and information about acquiring local currency and PCR testing was made easy. Having the logistics taken care of took the stress away.
The Safari itself was a once in a lifetime experience. We had a wonderful guide (Ozzy), who had in-depth knowledge about the animals and their habits. This allowed us to see a wide range of animals including the Big 5, cheetahs, zebras, gazelles, hippos, monkeys and birds. You truly felt like you were part of the animal kingdom. Ozzy was an excellent driver through some tricky terrain and always kept us feeling safe.
Lion King was flexible in allowing us to make changes to their suggested itinerary, as we wanted to stay at the Four Seasons Lodge as a special treat for our honeymoon. Other companies we contacted said they could not make this adjustment, but Lion King was flexible and accommodating.
A few things to make note of:
The link we were sent to pay our deposit by credit card wouldn't work, so we had to send a wire transfer. This felt a bit strange, but because of all the positive reviews online, we trusted the process and are happy we did.
We thought that we would get to decide as we went about what extra activities to include, but were told these are best arranged ahead of time e.g., walking through a Masai Village. If anything catches your eye on their extra activity list, be sure to mention it at the time of your booking. Even without any of the "extra options", you will have an amazing experience.
We did arrange for a Balloon ride over the Serengeti and this was also worth the splurge for us.

Best Budget Safari
I cannot express enough how amazing our African safari was. Joseph was the best. He was very helpful. Answered all questions timely and made the trip a breeze. I definitely will be using Joseph again. Our guide in Kenya, Jackson, was incredible. We were first to all the animals. Amani, our Tanzania guide, was knowledgeable and educated us on all the animals. Geoffrey made our Nairobi and Equator so enjoyable. Please use these people for your East Africa safari. 4 day safari, lodge accommodation
Incredible experience! Very professional services, went out of their way to make arriving and departing as easy as possible and that we were getting what we wanted from the experience. Mandela was an amazing guide and very knowledgable about all sorts of animals. Our chef Acton made the most delicious food, there wasn't a moment on the trip we felt at all hungry. We chose the lodge/safari tent option and the accommodation was simply a delight, the staff offering to move our table outside so we could have breakfast while watching the sunrise over the Serengeti is an experience I will never forget. Overall an unmissable experience when travelling to Tanzania and I would recommend this company to ensure you have the best experience.
