Great itinerary at a reasonable price.
Accommodations were great, most owned by the tour company. We spent a week around Cape Town, then a week on safari in the north part of South Africa and extended to go to Zimbabwe to visit Victoria Falls and to Botswana to visit Chobe National Park. We saw amazing animals, scenery and history but it was the people we met that made our trip so wonderful.

Amazing Family Safari Experience!
Hotels, excursions, guides, and Anne our tour operator were all AMAZING. We are a family of 6 with 4 young children ranging from 10 to 1 year old. The entire team was superb. They ensured that we were safe, comfortable, and well fed. The experience is unforgettable. If you are thinking about doing this safari you absolutely should. It's so worth it and you have a lifetime of memories. Anne is the best and completely understands how to plan a trip with children. Our itinerary was Amboseli x 2 days, Lake Navaisha x 1 day, Lake Nakuru x 1 day, Masai Mara x 3 days, and Zanzibar x 4 days. We loved all the places we visited and would have stayed in Zanzibar longer if we had extra time. This was a lovely vacation - just go and enjoy it!

A once in a lifetime experience you will not regret
We weren't sure what to expect but all I can say is we were thrilled with the experience, the care and the expertise. You will be in good hands with Annalise and her team at Drumbeat. Our family of four (including 2 teenagers) had an amazing time with excellent guiding by Cabello, a very comfortable safari jeep with drinks, snacks, gear and blankets for the chilly mornings. Comfortable tents, hot water provided for outdoor showers, delicious meals prepared, and just an overall great experience. Annalise provided an extra set of binoculars, hot water bottles, and everything you could think of to make the experience perfect. We slept to the sounds of hippos playing in water near our camp. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Let me start of by mentioning that this was our 1st time in kenya.
It was all that we'd imagined and much more. Mr. Anthony our tour guide was spectacular with a vast knowledge of the animals and birds around MASAI MARA, Lakes Naivasha /Nkuru and Amboseli , he even knew reptiles to our surprise.
The trip wouldnt be what it was if it wasn't for him. Highly recommended.
The staying accommodation / food was as per budget so nothing to complain or brag about.

Unforgettable Safari with Ben
We had an incredible safari with Ben. He was very professional, knowledgeable and fun and we had an amazing experience, seeing the big 5 in a single day!
He recommended a great camp and put together a fantastic itinerary. He worked very hard to ensure we're having a great experience and was always on time.
I left my camera in the 4x4 on the last day and Ben dropped it off at our hotel on his free day. This shows that Ben really goes above and beyond!

Amazing experience
Anita, the responsible of the company which we were in contact with was always available to answer our questions and aware of our needs. Our guide/driver, who was smiling and joking around while respecting our intimacy gave us really interesting informations. He had incredible eyes to spot hidden animals. The food was fine and abundant. Thank you Serengeti camping safari for this fantastic experience. :)

Wonderful and super trustworthy: if I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would.
We had originally booked the trip before COVID-19 and then found ourselves rebooking over several years until we finally made it. Ute had our backs all the way, suggested amazing alternative destinations, helped us book everything we needed. Her advice was invaluable and knowing that she was there, always available in the background, even during our trip, meant we could absolutely enjoy our amazing trip, even though our airline had lost a bag and we had no mobile phone signal in the bush. We enjoyed every single stop of the trip, had quick, efficient transfers that were always on time, between destinations and could not have been happier. We intend to travel to South Africa again in the near future, and we know who to turn to :)

An unforgettable experience
We booked the safari and beach package with Lion King Adventures for our honeymoon. We would highly recommend using this company. Everything was perfect. The accomadation, the food, the communication with the company before we left was also excellent. Richie our guide was one of the nicest people that you could meet and very knowledgeable about all of the areas and the animals. He was always on time and helped us alot along the way. He even arranged for us to visit a school which was not originally part of our package. If your booking with Lion King Adventures ask for Richie to be your guide! He was amazing! I would also say that it is excellent value for money because you don't need to worry about anything while you are on safari. Everything is looked after, from your permits to enter the park, all of your meals, water and beer available all day. Pendo was also very helpful when we were booking our trip with regular communication. We also got to see all of the animals and some so close that you could almost touch them. Thanks again to Lion King Safaris and especially our guide Richie for an amazing trip! We will remember it for the rest of lives and we would book it again with Lion King Adventures and Richie if we return some time!

Family friendly tour company
Over 20 years ago I spent a year volunteering in Arusha and during this time did a five day safari with a local company that I was able to select based on local knowledge. This time around I had to pick a company based on internet searches and reviews so was slightly mindful whether I would have the same experience as before.
To my delight, Cub Expeditions - a Tanzanian owned company - met my expectations and then some. Humphrey, managing director of the company, was attentive to my needs and budget from the outset. He listened to what I wanted and responded with an itinerary that was suitable for my young family.
Our driver/guide and chef were equally attentive and flexible to the needs and patience of my 3 and 6 year olds. Halid was an amazing chef who ensured we had three hot and tasty meals a day. While other safari companies served sandwiches for lunch, Halid served up three course meals of deliciousness! Our kids loved every meal.
From start to finish our safari met all expectations. We saw all of the hoped for animals and birds at close range. The driver/guide seemed to know everyone and worked the radio to keep tabs on the latest sightings. My husband said he was also a terrific driver and how we were driving in long wheel base Land Cruisers which are more comfortable.
The drives were varied and breaks were spaced out to ensure our children did not get bored or frustrated. The guide was equally helpful in engaging and entertaining the kids. Our youngest delighted in learning a bit of Kiswahili.
I would fully recommend Cubs Expeditions. It provides great value for a really amazing safari, you're in safe hands, plus you're supporting the local economy.
