Amazing value, and awesome experience.
5/5

I was looking for an affordable 2 day safari tour in Maasai Mara. The tour exceeded my expectations and the driver tried to ensure we saw as many as the Big 5 as possible even though it was the low season. I did my research prior, comparing safari prices and packages, and Jockey tours offers the exact same tour that other companies offer for AT LEAST $100 less! It’s also the same accommodation! My only
regret is not doing the 3 day 2 night option.

climbed kili, Benjamin, the guide, was superb! Would definitely recommend to anybody!
5/5

Climbed kili with shizi, Benjamin, the guide, was superb! Fluent English, regular medical checks, excellent knowledge of the mountain, flora/fauna, the history, the trails etc. The food was delicious and the porters were treated very fairly. Overall a great experience!

I submitted a detailed itinerary which we followed extremely well despite unexpected difficulties.
5/5

I was able to plan most details of the Rwandan trip online in advance. The company was very supportive of my choices and did all in their power to fulfil my requirements. I booked my accomodation on line myself and had one or two issues here. In hindsight it probably would have been better if I had consulted the Safari Company about the accomodation. The driver was also able to help with unexpected emergencies, such as when one of my expensive walking boots needed repair, location of good restaurants on the way, forex locations etc; and also when I proposed going to a place not on my itinerary and not identified until the day I arrived. He talked to locals, got directions and the change of itinerary went without a hitch. The vehicle was in good working order and caused no problems.

3 Weeks of adventuring throughout Namibia
5/5

My 21 year old son and I took a trip to Namibia. Our booking agent in Capetown organised a 3 week trip with Blue Crane Safaris. We travelled from Windhoek, southeast through the Kalahari, across to the Atlantic coast. We had a rest in Swakopmund then headed up the Skeleton coast for a few days before heading northwest through Palmwag to Etosha and then back to Windhoek. Generally I am not one for guided tours and kind of ended up on this one by accident, which makes the positive review even more meaningful. I prefer down and dirty, gritty and wild. Well we got 5 star all the way. Our trip included camping and hotel accommodation, all meals and the best team (guide and assistant) I've ever met. Everything we needed was provided for and our travel team were the most knowledgeable, professional, friendly and fun couple of guys we could have had the pleasure to travel with. We say wild desert elephants, black rhinos, lions, hyenas, giraffes and all the other things we wanted. Magusto (our guide) was one of the most knowledgeable people I've met in my life with a comprehensive knowledge of local geography, geology, botany, zoology, culture, ethnography...pretty well an encyclopaedic knowledge of Namibia (and beyond). Dave ( Magusto's off sider) was the friendliest, funniest and most helpful person you could ever wish for. Always on hand when needed and never a complaint or sour word in the entire 3 weeks. I will remember this trip as long as I live and if I get back to Namibia (highly likely and that largely because of my positive experience with these guys) I will definitely book through Blue Crane Safaris. 6 stars out of 5!!!
Thanks again for everything!!!

PS Man these guys are good!!! :)

Fantastic, very personalized service, that blew our expectations out of the water

Alym was a blessing to find! We looked into 3 other tour providers, and when we first talked with Alym, there was no other choice. We told him our wish list was to go to Victoria Falls, Chobe and the Okavango Delta, then Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and a drive to Nairobi. He asked questions, and learned about the 4 in our group, then set our trip up to fit us. Then we decided we wanted a couple of changes... No problem! He modified our 17 days to exactly to our needs. He and his team nailed it! Our Accommodations were perfect for our budget, and the drivers we had were extremely courteous. Osea had so much information to share in Tanzania. He spotted every kind of animal like magic. In spending 7 days with him, we made a life long friend. In Kenya our driver Steven was so much fun, and worked so hard to make sure out trip ended an a high note. He too had the knowledge of the animals, and so much more. From the moment we walked into the customs at Victoria Falls, to the goodbye at Nairobi airport, there was never a moments concern of safety, direction, or plan. We had a day to ourselves in Arusha, and all other days with our guides were fun filled and comfortable. The vehicles were nice to travel in, and we were confident in our drivers to get to our destinations safely. We believed our trip would be memorable, but we had no idea of the high level of service and personal attention we would receive. I look forward to the chance to return to Africa, and see so much more.

Great experience in Botswana
5/5

Rose has organized for us a "twin" safari stay in the Okavango delta combining a water safari location in the Belmond eagle Island lodge very interesting for getting close by boat to crocs, elephants, hippos (even very close to those guys), impalas and all sorts of birds and a land safari location in the Belmond Khwai river lodge which is really fantastic (if you go ask for a guide named Obie, he is the best!) here you'll find a lot of games and a very nice staff, good food, good wine and nice rooms.. the place to go!

Totally professional, superbly organised and well communicated in all aspects.
5/5

My wife and I have recently completed a 16 day tour of Southern Africa (our first), 12 of which consisted of a tour organised by Roho Ya Chui (through Ute Sonnenberg) comprising visits to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) and the safari camps of Muchenje, Ghoha Hills Savuti and Machaba in Botswana.

In the initial stages we acquired quotes and itineraries from two agents in Australia and two in South Africa. By comparison, Ute's was not the cheapest quote received nor was it the most expensive however we found her to be the most comprehensive in her ability to match the parameters we had set. Most importantly however was Ute's responsiveness to our contacts and her adaptability to several changes we made throughout the process.

It also helped that we were able to undertake a Skype session with her where many of our questions were answered and the ease in which we were ultimately able to book and pay. In so far as the tours went themselves, all our road transfers and light aircraft flights (3 in total) went to schedule and all the venues chosen exceeded all our expectations.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Ute in Johannesburg on the last day of our tour and found her to be just as excited about what we had just experienced on our trip as we were. We can only suggest that if you are planning a trip to Africa make sure you visit the Roho Ya Chui website and really consider organising and undertaking your trip with Ute. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Ute. We hope to travel to Africa again in the future and will certainly use your services again when we do.

Best Regards
Barry and Karen

If you haven’t been on Safari with Mussa then you haven’t been to a proper Safari.
5/5

Mussa not only lived up to our expectations but exceeded our dreams and made sure that we saw every animal we wanted to see. He often entertained us with his knowledge of game, the landscape and the local culture and we soon found not only a great tour guide but also a friend in him. The food he arranged for was amazing and nutritious and we simply had the time of our lives. You HAVE to go on Safari with Mussa. Thanks for everything!
