3 Day Tour of Lions Valley and Zulu Battlefields
5/5

We did a Day Tour with Tim a few years ago and because of his excellent service we decided to use Tim for our 3 Day Safari from Durban with friends. We left the Amsterdam World Cruise and flew from Maputo to Durban. Tim arranged our transfer to the Protea Hotel and picked up our Group of 6 at 7:30 am for our Transfer to Lions Valley Lodge outside Ladysmith. Since we also wanted to visit the Anglo-Zulu Battle Fields near Ladysmith, Tim strongly recommended Lions Valley Lodge. He was correct!! This Lodge is excellent and they accommodated our leaving the Lodge after a morning Game Drive and before the evening Drive so Tim could take us to see Rorke's Drift Battlefield. Tim arranged for a Historical Guide Specialist for this Tour. Tim also arranged for an excellent Game Driver at Lions Valley. After our Safari Tim drove us to the Durban Airport with plenty of time for our BA flight to Cape Town so we could rejoin our Amsterdam World Cruise. We highly recommend Tim for excellent Tours in South Africa! We have done over 6 Safaris and Tim is not only an excellent Safari Guide, he is an exceptional value with service as good as the A&K Safaris we have taken!

I had a wonderful experience on this safari. You stay in nice places and you get good food for a really nice price.
Bosco really becomes your friend during the safari! He will do anything to make your trip the best.

An amazing African adventure!
5/5

We have just got back from the holiday of a lifetime!! My husband and I booked through African Ubuntu Safaris based in Sydney. We live in Geelong and it was no trouble to organise on line and via the odd phone call. We dealt with Cuan the owner operator of the agency. Cuan was knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend you contact Cuan if you are planning a trip to Africa as he specializes in Africa and can answer your questions pretty much straightaway and also recommend other things to do that you might not have thought about. Our trip was in East Africa going to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The absolute highlight for us both was the Gorilla Trek it was tough but absolutely worth it. To see these beautiful animals in the wild is a pleasure and a privileged we will never forget this experience. Other highlights include Amboseli NP and the Serengeti NP. Accommodation was just perfect staying in Luxury Tents and Lodges most of the time. This was our first trip to Africa and it certainly won't be our last, we would not considering booking with anyone else.

ConQuest’s expertise is possibly the best you can get when birding in Kenya
5/5

After our excellent experience two years ago, we were eager to join Mwangi (ConQuest) once more for a birding trip in Kenya. This time we decided to join him for 12 days, which is double the time from 2015. The extension demonstrates our faith in the quality of the services Conquest has to offer.

In July, we visited more than 5 national parks, all having different biotopes. Mwangi makes an effort to offer good accommodation. He helps us in deciding whenever the accommodation is simple, but close to remote parks or great locations (some fancy resorts are just not in the right spot). As mentioned in our first recommendation, Mwangi knows his birds, but he also keeps an open mind for support from the local experts. That is how we met Nathaniel Mkombolah who showed us the Striped Pipit. And we joined Albert Baya, who found the Sokoke Scops Owl for us. We are sure that Mwangi can find those Pipits and Owls on his own, but he prefers to support local guides and preservation organisations. We value such cooperation. Moreover, it also saves time, which can be used for adding another location to the list of biotopes.

Mwangi is not our first guide. We’ve travelled the world and met many experienced birding guides. But he’s probably the best we’ve ever met. Mwangi has hooked us to Kenya and we are sure to contact him again for another visit.

THE MOST MEMORABLE AND EXCITING SAFARI EXPERIENCE, HUGE THUMB UP TO ITSTARTED IN AFRIA
5/5

The most memorable and exciting Safari Experience, huge Thumb up!
Thanks to ISIA, the guide/driver and the chef both were amazing… so friendly and professional and treated us so well throughout the Safari… with great knowledge and competent wild beasts’ experience. Provided us with the opportunity to spend longer and quality time observing the wildlife in their habitat, my husband and I learnt so much about wildlife, flora, fauna and conservation.
We also were pleased that ISIA proposed that visiting the Maasai Village and meeting the local Maasai, benefit the community. This to us was very educational, to experience how the tribes lives traditionally and that they are pleased for us to visit the parks and interact with them. Our guide said, it is a sign of respect to not only go and explore the wild beasts but also interact and meet the people in that area. It was a brilliant idea, and we are happy we visited and had a dance with the Maasai.
Also when we speak to the guide and chef we were delighted that they are treated with respect and are cared for their welfare, they said they were very happy working with company.
It was a so well organized and took account of all our request and I cannot fault anything, I and my husband would highly recommend ISIA- It is a 5 stars! Hooray!

An unforgettable experience!
5/5

The entire trip was splendid! It was organised perfectly and our tour guide was extremely punctual. Besides the disadvantage of rains during the monsoon season, we had excellent sightings all throughout the trip thanks to our wonderful guide who had an unbelievably sharp eye!

Excellent Experience in Tanzania’s wilderness, my expectation was low but IT STARTED IN AFRICA suffi
5/5

Excellent Experience in Tanzania’s wilderness, my expectation was low but IT STARTED IN AFRICA sufficed it all, was picked up from airport with smiles, and taken to a nice hotel in Arusha. We were made to feel celebrities, and we were given star treatment all the way through.
The following day was the start of our 8 day life time experience that exceeded our expectation. My family experienced seeing more wildlife than we imagined. The accommodation, food, hospitality and guides was superb. My family and I highly recommend itstartedinafrica.com without hesitation, and we are eager to go back for Kilimanjaro trekking
The consultation with It Started in Africa customer support team was brilliant, they responded quickly throughout, having brought kids with me I had to enquiry more and the recommendations I got was so helpful, they were so receptive to the wishes of my family and answered all my questions. Simply an amazing safari experience, every day was full of an overwhelming experience too much to recall them all…our guide and chef made my family time in Tanzania extra special
‘asante it started in Africa nakupenda wewe’ Swahili for I love ISA!
