Every aspect of our experience with Giltedge Africa was amazing. We were recommended by a friend of a friend who only had the best things to say about them. We reached out and were placed in touch with Nikki who was an absolute delight. Our initial phone conversation lasted almost an hour where we discussed exactly what we were looking for on our African honeymoon. My wife is a frequent traveler at work and we had a significant amount of reward points which we wanted to maximize on our trip. Nikki came up with multiple itineraries which allowed us to maximize our usage of reward points and minimize our out of pocket costs. She was in constant communication with us about our options, the corresponding prices, and her recommendations based on past experience. Being a savvy traveler, and an accountant by trade, I compared the prices she quoted us and compared them to travel websites. Her prices were always significantly lower based on their heavily discounted rates Giltedge receives. After weeks of communication we ultimately came up with a trip which met all of our needs.
Now for the trip, from the second we stepped off the plane in Johannesburg we were greeted by personal escorts which allowed us to bypass security lines and took us directly to our connecting flight to Cape Town. This continued for the rest of the trip which included private transfers, private guided trips, amazing hotels and an unparalleled safari experience. From the second we got off the plane to the second we boarded the plane home three weeks later we were taken care of by friendly and professional staff which was all planned through Giltedge. Nikki set up the perfect tour where we spent two nights in wine country, three nights in Cape Town, a week on safari in Kruger and a week in Mauritius. We would not have changed one thing about the trip, most of all we would not change choosing to use Giltedge to help us plan and execute the honeymoon of our dreams. Thank you!!

Priscilla and Bernard were knowledgeable in all aspects of our trip. They were friendly and familiar like family, yet extremely professional during our tour. They both went worked hard to make sure our group was attended to and provided with whatever we needed. I loved the feel they both brought to the trip. Not intrusive, but there whenever we needed them. A delicate balance to maintain for Tour Guides. I loved them so much I'm booking again for Rwanda & Uganda 2020. My hope is to bring a larger group with me to experience East Africa. The Safari Tour will forever be a part of me.

Each step along the way, we were met by representatives of Gilt-edge to take care of us and assure that we had a stress free trip. The level of service is way beyond anything else we have experienced in our three trips to Africa. Very pleasant agents that we met at each step of our trip, Airports, shuttles, Cabs, Resorts, restaurants, hotels, lodges, etc left us feeling secure and free to really relax and enjoy our trip. Transportation from each location to the next, was met by an agent. We had a detailed itinerary which identified dates, times, and requirements. All of the places we visited on our trip, were places where Gilt-edge agents have personally experienced. It is obvious that Gilt-edge has gone to great lengths to have high quality Agents. I got in touch with Let's Go Travel quite last minute and we needed a car rental + safari options. They were very speedy in their reply and could confirm all our needs within a couple of days. Easy payment and great service meant an all round 5 stars from me.

Unforgettable time!
I was so impressed and happy with our safari tour! Bartho welcomed us at the hotel and were an incredible service, he gave us an introduction of the trip and answer all our questions. We visited the Tarangire National Park and the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater, our tourguide was always available and in a good mood. All in all, it was a perfect trip!
We are sure we will visit Tanzania again.

Great adventure in Africa
We spent 10 great days in some Kenyan national parks. The tour organizer was alywas very keen to answer to all our questions and to change the itinerary according to our willingness. The driver/guide was always very professional, and able to spot most of the animals. Accomodations were very beautiful and comfortable, and food very abundant and good. The only (small) flaw was that not all of the accomodations were located inside the parks (this was not fully clear at the moment of the reservation, even if the tour operator provided us the addresses of all accomodations)

Stunning trip around the Rainbow Nation!
My wife and I went to South Africa for our honeymoon. We decided to go with Shikwaru Adventures for a 26-days tour around the country and it was simply amazing! We got to see a big part of the country.
From pickup at the airport to our departure everything was organised. We stayed at amazing lodges or reserves, did stunning game tours (and saw so many animals), whale watching, cultural visits...
Federica (our guide) had a very impressive knowledge of the country and places. We loved the fact that it wasn't all timed, but she let us enjoy it at our own rhythm and pace (and also letting us be alone to celebrate our honeymoon with romantic dinners for example). She was also really reactive and had always a Plan B in case of weather conditions (we couldn't do our planned whale watching because of the weather but she managed to change the schedule and got to do it later on without compromising anything else).
In summary, it was just the perfect honeymoon trip and I highly recommend Shikwaru Adventures! You won't regret it!!
