4 days Masai Mara and Nakuru safari
5/5

We are extremely pleased that we select Beacon Safari. They are very professional and ethical. Our guide come driver Edwin (4x4 Land cruiser) was very decent and good. Robert the owner picked our late arrival bag from Nairobi airport and delivered it to us in Nakuru. Robert was very prompt in email reply before commence of safari.

Fabulous exciting Safari with great tour guide.
5/5

Great experience for a female solo traveller.

All communications were very clear, prior to departure I was given the name, phone number and vehicle description of my guide - Tom. I was picked up at the location of my choice (hotel I had been standing in).

Guide was very knowledgable about Uganda and all the wildlife. During game drives he took lots of time to provide information about the animals and made every effort to ensure we saw as much wildlife as possible. Comfortable vehicle excellent for game drives. Accommodation was of very high standard.

Great self-drive -- more than just elephants
Overall rating
5/5

This was our first self-drive safari experience, immediately after spending 2 nights at a Amakhala/Shamwari (first safari experience altogether). We thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

There was something special about spotting game ourselves, in our little VW polo (it handled the unpaved parts easily). We were very lucky on the day -- with the help of the latest spotting map at the main gate, we saw countless buffaloes, a lion, hundreds of elephants, kudos, ostriches, zebras, and so many more.

We spent all day driving through the park, rather than sticking around the main gate area, and loved the varied scenery. The watering holes are exciting at the right time!

We would highly recommend a visit to Addo. Everyone talks about the elephants here, and yes they were tremendous, but there is so much more to see!

we travelled to Pilanesberg National Park
We booked a 3-day trip to Pilanesberg National Park staying at wa Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge it nice accommodations and an amazing chef.
Our itinerary was well planned and executed. The safari was amazing - our driver was good and he didn't disappoint , given that he has longstanding experience, he knew all the best spots to find the animals like hyena, and owls, Black rhinoceros, Cape buffalo, African lion, African leopard.
If you are travelling to South Africa definitely consider Go Pilanesberg National Park, and hopefully you will be lucky

A Mikumi - Selous safari worth remembering
5/5

In the last ten years I have organised private family and friends safaris to Tanzania, the latest to Mikumi national park and Selous game reserve with some final days in Zanzibar. It was one of my best safaris ever, much thanks to the excellent and committed services of Dove Adventure. We were seven in the group, me and my wife together with friends, all in our 70´ ies. For our friends it was the first time in Africa. I arranged the international flights and Dove took care of everything else, from meeting to leaving at Dar es Salaam airport. As I had good experience of Dove Adventure from previous safaris to different Tanzanian national parks I knew from the start that I wanted Dove to organise also this safari. I took the first contact with the company about 7 months before our planned departure. My communication with the company worked excellently with prompt responses over e-mail or telephone whenever I had questions or suggestions regarding the itinerary. Money transfers went smoothly from my bank to Dove´ s Tanzanian bank account.

After the first day´ s well needed rest at a Dar beach hotel Michael, our driver and guide, picked us up with the comfortable 8-seater 4WD safari car for some hours´ drive on Tanzam highway to Mikumi. After three days´ enjoying the rich savannah animal life in Mikumi we continued to Selous and our camp on the Rufiji river via Morogoro town and the scenic local road south of the Uluguru mountains, entering via the north gate of the reserve. We spent three days cruising in the rich environment among pastoral ponds and in the semi-open landscape along the river with animals of different kinds in sight most of the time. We also made a boat safari on the river which gave us a closer, but still safe look at the many hippos and crocs. A really exciting experience. We saw in the two parks practically all the animals you would expect to see on an East African safari (yes, we saw lions, many!). For me the highlights were the meetings in Selous with hunting dogs and the shy greater kudu antelope, the kudu observation only thanks to Michael´ s sharp eyes. We left Selous by air for some final culture and beach days in Zanzibar. Also this part of our visit was organised by Dove.

We left Tanzania with the best of memories from a successful safari. Everything Dove Adventure gave us was fully professional and accurate.

I can certainly recommend booking a safari with Dove Adventure.

Unforgettable
5/5

We did two days at Serengueti and one day at ngorogoro. We were able to see all of the big five. The bush camp was incredible as we were able to hear the lions and hyenas at night. Gideon was an excellent tour guide. He is trustworthy and reliable as well as a lot of fun.

Outstanding safari
5/5

My husband and I had a 8 nights/9 days private tour in Serengeti, Tanzania with Zohar. My husband wanted to have Serengeti Safari tour for our 25th anniversary, I contacted couple of companies then finalize with Zohar because I like the communication, Lilian the owner of Zohar was really professional, she was vey prompt to reply and she explained everything before I made a deal with her. Once we reached to Arusha (at night) our guide Adam came to the airport to receive us, she came to meet us in the early morning before we left for the trip; she even helped me to plane the tour, she explained every detail. We went to Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorongoro Crater and lake Eyasi. She called me on our anniversary to congratulate, sent a personalized bottle of drink and said that she wanted to arrange a bush dinner for us but she did not get any confirmation from the hotel; we were surprised to see when we have found our guide Adam came with the anniversary cake along with the hotel stuffs after the dinner. Then next day we were treated with bush dinner in lake Eyasi lodge - it was such a wonderful experience and memorable experience to us. Our guide Adam was another wonderful addition to our trip, he was very knowledgable as a guide (he has a bachelor in Wildlife science) with full of humor, he made our every day of the trip outstanding. At the end of our trip when we came to the hotel in Arusha, we found Lilian was waiting in the lobby and she managed to give us a upgraded room to treat us for our anniversary - that was really awesome and relaxed stay after the trip. When Lilian came to know we were going to Zanzibar the following day, she even gave her friend travel agent number so we could reserve our tour at the least moment - that was very helpful. We will look forward to going to Tanzani and would definitely select them again.

Excellent trip: well organized and the best guide
5/5

We had a great time on our holiday organized by Grassrootz Adventures in Uganda and Rwanda. All communication prior to departure was done through Sander who was very flexible in adjusting our travel plan to our liking. Also, we want to recommend our driver, David, was very caring and knowledgeable - we often knew more than the guides during our local visits. We highly recommend this Grassrootz Adventures if you want to have a fun and well organized trip for a good price.
