From the Serengeti to Zanzibar
5/5

Muksin Mushi is a thoroughly likeable and very capable guide. Our study tour (13 students and faculty) focused on the Tanzanian environment and the issue of sustainability. Muksin was attentive to the individual needs of our group members and was knowledgeable about many aspects of Tanzanian life. He is bilingual in English and Swahili and can explain local customs clearly and sensitively. Our varied itinerary included a safari to Ngorongoro and to the Serengeti National Park, a hike to Materuni Falls, visits to several small villages, an interview with the Anglican Bishop of Mara and visits to two church-related schools, an in-depth look at Zanzibar City, a beach outing, and a boat trip to Changuu Island. Throughout all this Muskin proved to be unflappable and judicious--but also fun to spend time with. I highly recommend him and Homeland Adventures.

Excellent experience! Very recommendable! I would do it again with Avocet Safaris!
5/5

I booked 6 days safari in Tanzania (Lake-Manyara-National-Park, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire Park). Everything went according to the schedule.

We have visited all the parks and what is the most important, we saw the big five because our guide was very keen on it. He made us careful on a lot of animals and told us much about them.

I would book it any time again!

good price-performance ratio
4/5

We really enjoyed the safari. The arrangement was easy and quick, friendly mail response. Just make sure, to pay the cash money in dollar to avoid trouble with the exchange rate. The tour guide Mike was great! He has big knowledge about the animals and landscape. You can really feel that he loves his job. The chef John also did a great job! He prepared delicious fish for dinner for us. It was just too bad that we stopped at a big souvenir shop on the way back. Would not have been necessary. The start of the safari was a little slow: getting lunch, water, gas etc. But maybe that is African style... All in all we were very happy that we booked this tour. Way cheaper than many other safari companies.

Such a pleasure!
5/5

Wow! What a privileged to be able experience the Northern Circuit in Tanzania. We did a 5 night safari with Eastco.

Visiting Ngorongoro is unforgettable! We had the luck to hike on the crater rim along with our friendly and skilled guide Ezekiel, it was such a pleasure spotting predators and the scenery there was awesome! Also able to go to Serengeti National Park on the 3rd day where we spent 2 nights. The wildlife viewing was top class and spectacular! We didn't witness tree-climbing lions at Lake Manyara National Park however the elephants and birds on the lake were also awesome. Manyara has a fantastic treetop walk, you should do it. We spent the last night in the village here.

To Eastco, it was an honour to be able to get such great services from you! My e-mail was always replied to even though some were abit slow.

10 days Uganda - a fantastic trip!
5/5

Full of expectation, we started our journey on May 2nd. We are two women traveling alone from Ilmenau. Already in advance, we were pleasantly surprised by the competent, very trustworthy advice by Sven Gilian. Arrived at Entebbe, we felt immediately in good hands when we saw a driver of the first lodge with our name and called our guide soon afterwards, inquired about us and announced for the next morning.
And as the first impression was, our entire trip went. Bryan, our "girl for everything" proved to be a true treasure. Not only did he inform us in detail about the country and the people (in very good German) during the trip, he did everything to make us feel comfortable with his humor, during the almost 1200 km journey.
Quite apart from that, the ride did not bother us otherwise. The wonderful scenery in all parts of the trip was the result. "Uganda, the green pearl of Africa" bears its name rightly.
Again and again we had to use our camera because we had to capture the beautiful landscape in pictures.
The swamp migration, as the first activity, was just right as an entry into the animal world. Unfortunately, the animals, such as the Colombus monkeys, were hiding a bit, but it would become better. And so it happened in the following days. It is very difficult to name a true highlight, because all animal observations were indescribably impressive for us in their own way. Whether it is the all-day trail with the chimpanzees, the tracking and extensive observation of the lions and a leopard, and, of course, the encounter with the gorillas - all in all unforgettable moments that fulfilled our expectations.
At this point, we must also mention the friendly, always helpful rangers, which have always endeavored to satisfy us and to compensate for our lack of English knowledge by slow speaking.
All in all, this trip will be a constant memory for us, and we would like to thank Matoke Tours for allowing us all this.

A wonderful safaris living up to expectations
5/5

We had a fantastic safari with Kenya walking Survivors safaris, everything went smoothly.
We had game drives in Massai Mara and Serengeti national parks, also visited the Masai villages. Our drivers & guides Antony and Rama were always committed, reliable and very helpful. They answered all our questions and knew exactly where we could see the animals – we saw all the big Fives and the famous tree claim lions as well!
We had one night sleep in a tented camp located just outside Serengeti NP – even saw the elephants were eating grasses around our tent during the night, what an amazing wildlife experience! We really enjoyed the amazing wildlife and wonderful culture.
Great staffs and excellent services, living up to expectations, highly recommend without hesitation.

Awesome Safari and Masai experience
5/5

Emma, owner of the company, replies quickly to my enquiries and provides detailed info of what we need to prepare for the tour. Adam, the tour guide, was hospitable, knowledgeable and diligent. We did a 8-days tour, which we visited Tangarire, Lake Manyara, Arusha, ngorongoro national parks. Adam gave us all a wonderful time, he had timely taken us to see the Big-five and other wild animals including warthogs, hyenas, impala, cheetahs, etc. Although it's rainy season, Adam had always found the sunshine and alerted us when we approach elephants, giraffes, etc. Our food, prepared by our chef, was wonderful, we had English breakfast and western cuisines at night... awesome experience for people like us who lives in big cities. The visit to the Masai village was a highlight, unlike some other tours we heard, no extra fees/ rip-offs when we visited the village, we did some dancing and the tribe taught us how to throw spears and make fire...

A huge thanks to Emma, Adam, our chef, and those who had arranged the tailor-made tour and made us feel so comfortable throughout. Worth every penny and will definitely recommend them to my friends.

So Glad We Chose Wild Planet Safari!
5/5

When we discovered that our participation in our chosen 8-day Kruger Family Safari would not be with a small group, rather just the two of us, we had misgivings as we thought that meeting other like-minded folk would be enjoyable. Well, we have to say after the event that our misgivings were unfounded. In the closed vehicle we were not buffeted by cold early morning winds and best of all we learned so much from Ryan, company founder and guide. He has amazing in-depth knowledge about all the wildlife we saw and we also learned a lot about life in South Africa. You wouldn’t get that seated high in an open vehicle remote from the driver/guide!
We really appreciated the opportunities to get up close and personal with animals at the Hazyview Elephant Sanctuary and the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre at Hoedspruit and on the way back to Jo’burg we journeyed through the amazing scenic Drakensberg Range.
We were well looked after for the entire time and we had a wonderful experience. We will remember it always!

Nothing like seeing wild animals in their habitat, where humans are just visitors
Overall rating
5/5

I had a wonderful time at Kruger park. Its so much larger and vast than I expected. It feels like the size of a country. As you need to drive slow, the distances ll take a while to cover. Even so i didn’t see any big cats i enjoyed all other animal encounters… big and small. There is nothing like seeing wild animals in their habitat, where humans are just visitors. I would recommend anyone to stay in the park for a few nights. You can hear and see the animals right at your doorstep. The camps are very well organised. There are restaurants, shops or water stations (on the camp areas). In Skukuza Camp there is even a pool!
You should definatly get up at 4:30 when the camp gates open to see the sunrise. There are better chances to see more animals as well. Very special.
