Good experience
4/5

My daughter and I booked a 3 day/2 night safari with Mwema, which included pick up from Nairobi and drop-off in Watamu. Simon was very fast at responding to all our queries in advance. Anthony was our driver and safari guide; he was very flexible and knowledgable about the animals. We felt safe and well looked after. We stayed at Kibo safari lodge in Amboseli which we found to be a very friendly place - we loved our spacious tent. Amboseli was great for viewing elephants in particular, though we were also lucky enough to see a variety of other game including a lion and her cubs. Then we moved to Kilanguni Lodge in Tsavo - this was comfortable and has a watering hole right outside - it was rainy season but we imagine this would be amazing in the dry season when animals visit. We also enjoyed the lava flows at Tsavo. All in all a great experience with a good local company. The safari van was a little bit old, but I think is being replaced very soon after having racked up over 150,000 miles!

Kathi was amazing!
4/5

Kathi was incredibly patient despite all the changes we had her make. She was helpful and replied as soon as she could. While the trip was unlike anything we had done before, we felt more options could be given regarding the type of car we were paying for. Well, we got a Mercedes and should not complain. Yet I can't help but wished we were given options (regular sedan vs luxury) beforehand and its corresponding costs. My tour guide was friendly and we had fun exploring Cape Town with him. Cape Town is beautiful and our safari was great.

Incredible safari experience on the northern circuit with Makasa
5/5

Just back in Dar from our safari with Makasa. What a great experience it was.
From the pick-up to drop-off at the airport after nine days, every thing was great and we felt in good hands.
We cannot say enough good words about our driver, Safari guide and cultural guide ( the same guy!)
Of course we cannot compare because we know no others, but we can't imagine a more professional, engaging, dedicated and knowledgeable guide for a tour of the northern circuit. A safe driver, respectful, friendly , funny and above all a superstar in the knowledge and love of the nature in the parks we visited.
We felt lucky being with him and the Makasa group compared to the other groups we saw. Dedicated to making our experience great, he always ensured we were at the right time at the right place to maximize our sightings...and although we tried hard, we couldn't find even a bird for which he didn't have a name and some details on its behaviours. He could spot animals while driving that we couldn't scanning with binos...No doubt, the great experience of discovering these parks for the first time was made simply incredible by the quality of the guide leading us through these parks. The lodges selected were great for food, confort and friendly personnel and again our guide would always ensure everything was right. I should also mention that the planning of the safari by email with Selma showed how responsive and flexible they were in recommending options with various lodge levels and with or without domestic flights. I highly recommend Makasa for your Tanzanian safari

A Wonderful Adventure
5/5

We had an amazing time with Jobovic. Piet and Meshack looked after us very well and really knew what they were doing. They knew all the camps and included very successful game drives in the itinerary. Piet drove long distances with no signs of fatigue or loss of good humour. Meshack cooked great meals and could spot a buffalo in the densest bush. He was also very knowledgeable about birds.

All we had to do was put up our own tent. It was not difficult, and we got quicker as the days went by. The bed rolls were more comfortable than we expected and took away much of the sensation of “roughing it”. We were advised in advance to bring inflatable pillows. They cost only 30 rand each from a camping shop in Cape Town and again, were perfectly comfortable.

Would we go on another Jobovic Safari? Of course we would!

Great Family Safari
4/5

We had a lovely experience with Mwema Africa Safaris. They provided an excellent price for the dates and style safari we were looking for. They were accommodating, listening closely that we had family members ranging in ages from 78 to 3 years, and made sure each member had a great experience. We visited Serengeti )2 nights central), Ngorongoro Crater (2 nights), and Lake Manyara. They met us in Arusha and transferred us to a hotel outside the city, but before doing so they agreed to stop and let us check out a bit of shopping.

Dream safari come true
5/5

I have to be honest I was nervous about our safari booked with Wildebeest Safaris it all seemed to good to be true. From the very beginning the prices were within our budget and the itinerary suggested was absolutely perfect and exactly everything we were wanting which is why I was thinking wheres the catch, but everything was amazing. Noah's suggested itinerary for my husband and I was perfect every camp and lodge suggested was beyond our expectations. Peter our driver picked us up from our Nairobi hotel and he was very professional and the vehicle we had was immaculate. We saw other tour companies along the way and I was so happy we went with Wildebeest their vehicles and drivers were not as professional as ours. Peter spoke good english and was able to find every type of animal on safari for us, we saw Lion, leopards, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, rhino, hippos, baboons, ostrich, hyena, flamingos, multiple lion and babies sightings and the big one for me was the cheetah along with an interaction with a cheetah mother and her 4 cubs, every kind of antelope and an array of birds. It was the most amazing trip of my life and I will never forget it. If you are going to Masai Mara ask to stay at Mara Eden Camp having the Hippos and crocs outside your door was amazing. Thank you thank you thank you so much Wildebeest Safaris, Im coming back next year hopefully for the great migration.

Well planned, very reasonably priced, personalised, leisurely and rewarding
5/5

My wife and I did an eleven day tour of Botswana in April 2017. This tour was put together by Mark Hathaway of Gondwana Tours. In a long initial e-mail Mark set out various alternatives while at the same time making comparisons and expressing what he thought would be preferable. From that original e-mail I gained a sense of confidence which turned out not to be misplaced. His planning was thorough, his response to any question was immediate the overall cost was very reasonable and the whole tour went without a hitch. The lodges we stayed at were exceptional value with very good facilities and meals, very personalised service, excellent guides, and extended game drives with an abundance of game. The lodges we stayed at were private concessions which enabled you to go off road and view the game from a matter of metres away. Although they were private concessions they were not unduly expensive. Good guides and the ability to get up close to the animals made our tour a most memorable one.

Great safari!
5/5

Smooth sailing and a great safari trip through PaperJet! Justin was prompt in communicating and putting together a great package. Ask them what you want and they will try to make it happen at a good price. The lodge was luxuriously amazing and we had a great ranger and tracker for our stay. Madikwe is a reserve but it was still large enough where we had to track the animals and we were able to go off road. Even though it was winter, we still saw a variety of animals including: lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, kudu, cheetahs, rhinos, one impatient buffalo and many others. I would highly recommend this safari!

The elephants are so huge!
Overall rating
4/5

It's very nice to see so many different kind of animals in one Park.
It's wonderful season in early May.
The natural protection polices are very good. (for instance, Don't feed animals inside the park)
