Great Experience
5/5

I was particularly impressed by how organised they were. I took the Amboseli trails which lasted 4 days as they had promised. I toured the most part of Kenya. The staff were hospitable and very friendly. I look forward for another adventure on my next vacation.

Awesome safari experience
5/5

I did a 3 day Safari with Adventure Dragon Safaris. I had one guy with me as a driver and he also took care of everything. He was great and fun company and I felt very safe with him. The camp site was very nice and the tents were clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Food was good also. Definately a great deal all together!

Fabulous views on Kidepo National Park
4/5

From the moment our driver (David) picked us up in Kampala it felt good. He explained a lot, about the country, the places we passed by, the people and the park we were going to visit. We could ask anything and about every subject he could tell something. When we entered the park it was really amazing. What a beautiful place to go to. The wide nature surrounded with mountains was magnificent. We saw animals in their natural habitat and visited the hot springs, close to the border with South Sudan. The ranger that joined us also explained a lot about the park. The second day we visited a Karamodja village. Without feeling a tourist, they led us through the village and explained things about the way of living of the people in Kidepo. We danced with them, played with the kids and again had some amazing views. On the way back to Kampala we bought different kinds of fruit to enjoy at home. After dropping us of safely in Kampala we really agreed that it was a perfect trip.

A totally unforgettable two days and one night!
5/5

We were two business colleagues who had a couple of days to spare after a conference in Nairobi, and we decided to spend them in the Maasai Mara. KET Safaris did a fantastic job for us. Our driver, Francis, was excellent.

In the course of our two days, we saw all at very close range, and to watch for as long as we wanted: thousands of gazelle, impala, wildebeest, buffalo and zebra, lots of giraffe, hippo, elephant, warthog, meerkats and baboons, a few lions in prides, hyenas, rhinos, crocs, ostriches, many pretty and exotic-looking birds, and a leopard in the tree above us, and a cheetah eating his lunch. Perhaps we were extremely lucky to see all of this in 24 hours - I don't know. Certainly our driver, Francis, was very skilled at finding the animals for us.

Ashnil Mara Camp where we stayed was an extremely comfortable oasis in the middle of the Maasai Mara. Technically, it was under canvas, but definitely ‘glamping’, - as comfortable as any hotel or resort.

My trip to Africa with Grassrootz was organized, awesome and adventurous!
5/5

I have only good things to say about Grassrootz. We sent Sander an ambitious itinerary(which we changed several times) and he made recommendations and chose all of our accommodations. Our guide, David, met us at on our first day. He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He was with us for the next 10 days throughout Southern Uganda and Rwanda. Our accommodations were located in beautiful settings and in every location we were provided with excellent customer service. All of our safaris and trekking experiences were organized in advance and exceeded our expectations. I would use Grassrootz again and recommend them to anyone traveling in the area.

Honeymoon with the Gorillas
5/5

Our driver picked us up at our lodging in Kampala on time. He was very courteous and informative for our drive to Rwanda. He checked us into our lodging in Rwanda (excellent hotel!). He returned early the next morning and took us to the Park. We met with our Park Guides, joined our small group and went trekking for Gorillas. Great tour and we were able to spend extra time with our new Gorilla Family. An experience of a lifetime and not to be missed. We highly recommend Devine African Safaris!

An outstanding tour of Southwest Uganda
5/5

The whole booking process from the outset was friendly, relaxed and helpful. All the accommodation was of a high standard. You can tailor-make changes to the itinerary or accommodation (we did for a few nights but the places offered by Gorilla Tours were really good). Gorilla trekking was the highlight but there is so much else too - chimps and plenty of elephants, warthogs, hippos. And so many birds. Even if you don't know anything about birds it is really worth bringing good binoculars (we brought rubbish ones - mistake) and a decent bird book. You will be amazed and may go home an expert.
Our guide/driver/ornithologist was Charles. He was the nicest guy and always calm, courteous and kind. He drove carefully and always pulled over if he needed to use his phone. And he knew everything about birds and could spot them with his bare eyes even when we struggled with binoculars. I think we were very lucky as everyone we encountered seemed to know and respect him. And a lot of the drivers with other tours were simply that - drivers. My only regret is that we (Charles that is) spotted a really rare bird but it simply did not come out clearly on camera.
Unforgettable trip and terrific guide. We will be back!

Trip of a lifetime!
5/5

I don't have the words to describe how incredible this trip was thanks to the wonderful people of Native Escapes but I will try. Start to finish they FAR exceeded my expectations (and truthfully my expectations were probably abnormally high). Simon was so kind and patient with me, I put him thru the ringer with all my questions and dozens and dozens of emails / phone calls, etc. He happily helped me thru the entire process and completely tailored the entire vacation to my exact specifications and desires. His advice and expertise were invaluable as I was trying to navigate thru the many options one has when planning an extended stay in Africa. We started in Rwanda and hiked to see the mountain gorillas - unbelievable experience, cannot recommend this enough. We then went to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater - another life changing experience - highly recommend. We ended our trip with 4 nights in the Seychelles - no words to describe how beautiful and exotic it is there. The accommodations, food, service, etc. etc. at every location were outstanding! Every piece of the trip was arranged by Native Escapes, all transfers and logistics, literally all we had to do was show up. This is really key for Africa because it would be very difficult to arrange all of the intercontinental travel (flights, cars, etc.) on your own. With Native Escapes they handled it all and we got first-class service the entire way. We have traveled many parts of the world and all over Europe numerous times, and I have never felt so treated and pampered as I did during this trip. The vendors and resorts that Native Escapes partners with are truly world-class. I am currently researching our next adventure in Africa and will undoubtedly be using Native Escapes again. Thank you for giving me a once in a lifetime experience that I will always cherish!

Professional
5/5

Roger was very professional in his approach and understood my requirements after one phone conversation. His recommendations were exactly what we were looking for, which made our time in the bush very memorable. We have been on many safaris with other companies but none of them have offered the personal touch that Roger offers. He knows his facts and being local makes a great difference on understanding the circumstances compared to companies who are far away from Botswana. We stayed at Tau Pan, Lebala and Little Machaba and each camp had its own special niche which Roger highlighted in detail as he visits these areas regularly. The floods affected many of the camps but Roger was able to reassure us that the camps he recommended were fine. I highly recommend Safari Lifestyles and guarantee you will not be dissapointed.
