Best safari trip, thanks to Twaha
5/5

We, a group of 6 dentistry students from Germany, got picked up by our guide Twaha at different places (Mbale & Soroti) and were brought to the Red Chili Rest Camp in Murchison Falls Nationalpark. On the way through the Nationalpark we were already overwhelmed by all the animals we saw within the first hour. Elephants, antelopes, waterbucks, Pumbaa everywhere! The Camp was the best place to stay. The bathroom facilities and the tents were clean, the food was good and the staff friendly. The next day our guide, who planed everything, picked us up early in the morning to get the first fairy over the Nile. We got a lunch box, we chose the day before and started the game drive at sunrise. We saw a whole flock of giraffes, many elephants and even several lions and one leopard. Twaha was very well connected to the other guides and got a call, when f.e. a leopard was seen and brought us there. He drove respectfully "animals first" and stopped whenever we wanted to take pictures. Another game drive in the afternoon and a boat trip on the Nile were as overwhelming as the first day. The boat trip ended with a hike to the top of Murchison Falls - that was quite exhausting because of the heat and the rise, but in the end sooo worth it!
On monday Twaha brought us back to Mbale, were we need to fetch our luggage and slept one night, and brought us to our next destination in Jinja.
As you can see, we had the best time at Murchison, perfect service and a lot of fun with Twaha! Thanks a lot!

Good first taste of a safari experience
4/5

Booking reservation communication was prompt and quick. Had no expectation as to what a Kruger Safari would be like. We did the 3-day Masango Camp. It was unfortunate that the first night, we were the only guests on the camp site; could not help but feel a little left out from the other group. We also did not get to experience a braai during our stay. Masango Camp would have felt much better had it had more guests staying with us. "Nyala" room was very spacious, with a private bathroom. In the morning we could hear lions roaring. Staff was excellent. Our caretaker at Masango Camp (Mama Pauline woot woot!) was more than happy to assist us. Victor was superb! Very warm and easygoing and attentive - he had no problems laughing at himself. Our safari guide, Patrick, was very knowledgeable and patient - we got to see 4 out of the Big 5 (no rhinos!). Errisson was very pleasant and funny when giving us the bushwalk tour. Hopefully this would be more safaris in our future!

Professional, quality safari that was the perfect family experience
5/5

There are numerous safari companies operating in the main Kruger Park and you realise the difference when you get there (quality of vehicles, size of tour group etc). I was very pleased we booked with Wildlife Safaris! We had Hoppy as a fantastic guide for our 5 day safari via the Panorama route. I believe the maximum group size is 6 but we were very lucky that it was just our family of 4 on the trip. That said, even with 6 people, the open sided safari vehicles are geared for 9 people so there is plenty of room to look in both directions. I fully recommend Wildlife Safaris

Terrible company ran by a liar called Henry
1/5

I can confirm what was written by all clients : Northern Masailand Safaris is ran by a crook named Henry who litteraly stole our money.
In short here is our story : we booked a trip including 1 week safari and 1 week stay in Zanzibar. We agreed on a defined plan (hotels / transport / catering).
We were requested to pay 30% upfront, and the rest upon arrival. 10 days before we start, I received a message that our plans were changed, with cancellation of plane transfer from Serengeti to Zanzibar, against a road trip with a stop in Arusha.
Then I received agressive message requesting the full payment, which I refused. We did not receive any hotel vouchers at that stage.
On arrival day, the hotel that was supposed to be our 1st night was different than the one planned. The next day (a Sunday) Henry wanted to get his cash, but again, without providing any hotel voucher.
This was the begining of a 15 days battle against a liar.
At every stage, the hotel was different than the one we agreed upon, and of course, at a lower category.
When arriving in Serengeti, the driver, genuinely nice and helpful, couldn't find the accomodation, as he did not receive instruction from Henry. Eventually, after having lost 4 hours, we found our deserted place - and of course not the one agreed upon.
We then had a strong argument with the liar to make sure our nice Zanzibar hotel was booked. I had to chase myself the hotel and put pressure on Henry to book it eventually.
Back in transit in Arusha, we agreed for an overall refund of 1000USD. Henry never paid his due !
Last but not least, when leaving Zanzibar, for our transit to the airport, Henry cancelled the taxi, and we had to pay for it ....
So, in a nutshell, stay away from that company, as this will lead you into much trouble. We were definitively lucky not to have any incident. Without a doubt this liar who have dropped us in the middle of the Savannah.

Lovely trip to Mikuni and Udzungwa
4/5

Mwajbu was wonderful to deal with. Provided great support and even organised flights to Zanzibar. The process of booking and logistics was very easy. Really enjoyed Mikuni National Park and Camp Bastian. Opted for a one hike in Udzungwa Mountains and it was just spectacular. Our driver was very helpful and the guide in Udzungwa was fantastic.

Best trip of our lives!
5/5

This was the absolute best trip we've ever taken! (and we've been on some pretty amazing trips). We always try to support local companies, and we were delighted to find out that AA Africa is one of the very few tour outfits whose owner/operator who is a native Tanzanian. Augustine Minja was our naturalist guide, and we found him to be not only incredibly knowledgeable (he really is a walking encyclopedia), but also extremely kind and witty and charming to be around. He also has very sharp eyes, and was able to find animals we never would have spotted on our own.

Augustine made our trip so special. It was a private trip, custom-designed for our personal preferences. He planned the trip so well; each day was better than the last, so we were always surprised by new and exciting experiences. The safari was so amazing! We saw so many animals, most of them up close and personal, making for awesome photos. While there is never a guarantee that one will see any specific animal, we were lucky enough to see every animal we could think of in Africa. Lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, leopards, elephants, rhinos, hippos, and the list goes on forever. It was absolutely amazing!

In addition to the wildlife parks, he also included time to discover the local people and villages, allowing us the opportunity to meet some locals and gain some insight into Tanzanian customs and lifestyles. His pride of his country and culture was obvious and we so appreciated this aspect of the trip.

The accommodations were surprisingly luxurious. We were very comfortable and very well fed.
I cannot praise AA Africa or Tanzania enough, and we would highly recommend them to anyone seeking an African adventure. The trip far exceeded our wildest expectations, and have made in Augustine a life-long friend.

Uganda made extra special
5/5

Uganda is a very special country to visit, and our trip was made extra memorable because Kevin from Experience Uganda put together a great itinerary for us. He responded very promptly to queries and helped with visa application. He not only booked great lodges for us as part of our gorilla trek, he also booked better room categories. At the Nkuringo Lodge, he reserved cottages for us which made the entire trip good value for money. After our Nkuringo gorilla trek, we did a short trek across Bwindi to the Buhoma Lodge. We were well taken care of and had totally stress-free experience.

We had a few hours before catching our flight home, Kevin was kind enough to allow us the use of a day room and host us at his lovely Karibu Guest House. We are very happy to have entrusted our Uganda tour in the capable hands of Experience Uganda!

A Fantastic Trip
5/5

We have just returned back from our 14 day trip to Victoria Falls, Kruger and CapeTown. Each place was a different experience ranging from the spectacular water falls to the fantastic safaris to the beautiful city and oceans. We couldnt have asked to squeeze more into one holiday. The entire trip was very efficiently organised by Pembury Tours and everything worked clock work from the time we arrived till we left .Special thanks goes out to Heidi who was extremely patient in getting it all together . Very prompt with her replies and adding great value to everything. We would love to be back and would happily use Pembury again and also recommend to our friends and family.
