Hyrax Safari- May 2022
Overall, our Hyrax Safari was great. Travelling with 3 little ones aged 6, 4 and 3 is always an adventure, but Evans our driver helped our family to manage the schedule. It’s our 3rd safari and this one was done on a much tighter budget than our other safaris. We noticed a difference travelling in the matatu vehicle, instead of a 4x4 safari vehicle. It was definitely not as comfortable but it was a fun experience and we enjoyed the bumps and being thrown about the roads (genuinely). The game drives were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed each day animal spotting. We like the campsite, very hospitable and friendly (staff were fab!) even though basic. The only downside to the trip was the vehicle did feel a little full at times, we would definitely prefer to have a vehicle to ourselves next time. Ultimately, Kenya is absolutely stunning and we love the wildlife and wilderness, there’s just nothing quite like it.

Excellent
We were 2 families with young kids. Isaac and his team were very accommodative to most of our needs. Our trip was a real long Vaccation of 17 days and we are still enjoying our beach holidays.
Safari experiences were great and knowledge of Isaac and Steve was great enough to make our this trip memorable.
The safari experience we were looking for
This was exactly the safari experience we were looking for! We booked the 5-day trip and we went to a diversity of places including the Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire, and each one had a very unique feel and environment that made every day feel like a brand new experience. There was a good bit of overlap in the types of animals, but there was always something new at each place as well. At the end of the trip we managed to see all of the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Water Buffalo, Elephant) and more than 50 other animals! It was an incredible wildlife experience, and on top of that, the lodging was amazing. We chose the mid-range option, but the two lodges we stayed at felt like absolute luxury - each room had its own sitting area, bedroom with huge comfortable bed, balcony overlooking coffee plantations, and incredible four-course meals that left us properly stuffed (and that's impressive coming from two vegans!). We also stayed in two tented camps that felt much more rustic, but it was so cool to be sleeping out in the bush listening to all the animals as you fall asleep, and we even got an up close visit from a genet on our front porch one morning. Our driver (Lewis) was very knowledgable about the wildlife and acted like a guide, always stopping to let us take photos whenever we wanted, and maneuvered into great viewing spots when there was a crowd. The vehicle was comfortable, everyone had a window seat with a large window that opens, and the pop up top was incredible for viewing and taking photos. All in all, it was a once in a lifetime experience.

This was value for money with a excellent tour guide in Patrick who shared his skills, sence of humour and knowledge of animals, plants and Kruger Park! We saw four of the big five, felt save at all times and had a rememberable day out, especially when we came across the Cheetah on our way out. We loved it!!!! Thank you

Amazing safari
I had an amazing time in Tanzania - Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire parks. The communication with Humphrey was great, he explained everything and was waiting at the airport to pick us up. He also dropped us at the airport for an early flight. Our driver and guide Omani was very experienced. He tried his best for us to see all the animals and always answered all questions. His animal knowledge was extensive. The cook Emmanuel cooked delicious food, accomodated vegetarians, we never went hungry. I highly reccommend Cubs Expeditions as it's great value for money, they are realiable, great service. Thank you again.

Informative and great knowledge of the bush and wild animals
I had such a awesome experience at Walkers and Lance has so much knowledge of the bush and finding good sightings of wild life and photography skills. Kirstin is such an excellent host so kind and caring and absolutely wonderful chef taking care of your every needs. I also subscribe to the Panthera patroen account that does the most amazing charity work for rehabilitation for poached and injured animals. I was very fortunate to meet Lilly the pangoline that was poached and needed medical assistance and through my subscription this was possible.

Like i said,everything worked as a clock.
The transport to every where according to the was excellent,the drivers were very nice and helpful.
The flights went smoothly and than we met our amazing guide cosmos.
He took us from Arusha for four and a half days of game drive at Tarangir,ngorogoro,and the Serengeti.
Cosmos was professional,kind and patience as we were travelling with 5 children.
The lodges we stayed in along the way were very very good,and we were surprised and happy how all of the staff were friendly and willing to help.
The food was good although we were missing a little more vegetables.
The lunch boxes was also nice and with enough food to last us to dinner.
After the game drives we flew to Zanzibar for the “Reef and beach” resort which was absolutely wonderful with lovely rooms,amazing view,very good food at the restaurant,and as usual joyful staff.
We had a great time!!!

Martin and Fredrick were simply the best!
My friend and I had a short trip to Nairobi and decided to do a safari at the very last minute. We came across Earthwings Tours and Safaris and after a few email and WhatsApp interactions with Martin we were booked on a 3-Day private safari in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Martin made sure to cater to our needs every step of the way. The 3-Day program was tailored to our desire and I really like the flexibility we had. Our Guide and driver Fredrick was simply the best. Extremely knowledgeable and fun to drive around with. He knows what he is talking about and it was amazing listening to all his stories and experiences in stories about the wildlife and the park. He made sure we saw 4 of the Big Five and I can honestly tell this was spectacular. I would not hesitate to book again with Martin and his team.
