Beautiful green lush country with friendly people
After spending some time in Kenya (dry and rough in most places), it was refreshing to travel through Uganda for a few days. The landscape was breathtaking, so many green hills - not to mention the incredible Bwindi Forest where we had the opportunity to see Silver Back Gorillas in the wild! The roads were much better than in Kenya, and the people were friendly - especially towards women who seem to be well respected in the Ugandan society. The amount of wild life can't compete with Kenya's huge & abundant national parks though. Overall I had a lovely time in Uganda and I'd be happy to return!

Fantastic trip
It was our first safari and this company did not disappoint. The people were so great at making sure all of our needs were met. The booking agent Edward was responsive and went out of his way to accommodate us. The driver/guide Jackson was fabulous and told us so much so much about the parks and the animals. Great value for our money, we did the mid range and it was wonderful. Highly recommend.

We did a 3 day tour to Mikumi National Park.
We felt very well advised and taken care of in advance. Isaya helped us in advance with all the questions we had (visa, hotel recommendations, etc.) and we also received support with our onward journey (ferry to Zanzibar, taxi driver).
The tour/safari itself was very well organised and planned, but also left individual wishes open.
Isaya and his brother Godfrey were very eager to tell us everything about their culture, the animals and their country. We felt comfortable and welcome from the very first second. They were always on time and very concerned about us.
We can recommend Kihindo Tours 100% because we had such a fantastic time.

Savannah Explorers as organiser as well as its tour guides did more than an excellent job.
Because of Corona we had 3 years time to prepare our once-a-life tour across the Tanzania National Parks, and Albert from sales depratment at Savannah Explorers was a very helpful partner in this. We decided to make a private tour - only my wife and me, guided now by Novatus, who was very well-versed (with respect to animals, places, routes and driving), and supported by the translator James who helped my wife to understand. We were able to react flexibly to all situations during the 12 day safari across the Tarangire, Serengeti (West, Nord, Central), Ngorongoro and Arusha NP. This also includes the change (for free!) from visiting a second time Trangire NP into Arusha NP - we had to "fill up" an additional day (comp. to our plan) because of a postponement by the airline. And in combination with them, Savannah Explorers had changed also the accommodation for 2 night into a lyxary lodge - even for free. Thanks a lot!
By the way, the prize of this adventure was not low (airfare had to be added) - but in comparison to booking with a German travel agency, SE won by far.
We experienced spectacular "face-to-face" encounters to all kind of game - e. g. 5 m close to a lion family guzzling a warthog. And my dream of watching the river crossing by the huge herds of wildebeasts became reality - thanks planning 2 overnight stays at the Mara river, actually several times.
It was not only the encounter with the animals, but also viewing the landscapes - from dry veld (Serengeti) via crater form (Ngorongoro) to jungle (Arusha NP) what excited us, day by day anew. And finally, all the accommodations, adapted to the respective areas, chossen by Savannah Explorers enthused us.

Simply Amazing
My fiancée and I booked a two night, three day tour w/ Shipungo and were happy we did. Jack was an amazing tour guide. He had an intimate understanding of Moremi and its flora and fauna. He indulged my nascent interest in birding with patience, and had in-depth answers to all our questions. The support staff (Simon and KG) were talented, responsive, and kind. Simon was an excellent cook and went above and beyond with food presentation, flavoring, excellent portion sizes. We were never hungry nor thirsty. We saw 4 of the Big 5 and so many other animals. It was truly a visual buffet. Not sure we would've seen so much if it had not been for these gentlemen. If you go to Moremi, book with Shipungo and ask for Jack. And if you're a foodie, make sure to request Simon. We'd hire him to cater our wedding if we could.

We had the most wonderful time, and it was just – a great trip. All expectations met, or exceeded.
Throughout the whole period of planning, making up our minds, preparing for the trip and when a little support was needed while already in Namibia, Megan was always available and very helpful. It obviously did not matter to her that we once called for some support even during a public holiday (sorry, Megan, we didn't check for that....).
The route was very well layed out, Megan's suggestitions and planning made it very easy for us to fully enjoy our first visit to Africa.
Nice selection of well maintained camp sites and very beautiful lodges.
Should we plan for another visit to southern Africa, we will for sure check with Megan first.
