Disappointed. The setting is stunning, and the room was lovely - except for the bathroom
3/5

The setting is stunning, and the room was lovely - except for the bathroom. It had a very high bath which was difficult to climb in and out of. To have a shower was also dangerously slippery.
There is also a tiny step into the bathroom that one cannot see because of the black tiles. No sign or marking about the step - so I nearly tripped.
Then there are two rugs next to the bed. When you step on them they slip - I nearly fell. Unfortunately my husband did slip when he got out of bed during the night and had a very nasty fall. Thank goodness he didn’t break anything and is only bruised.

The food was good but not exceptional. The dinner on Saturday evening was a disaster because the hotel catered for a big group that had arrived, and the Lodge catered for them and ignored the remaining couples. We had no service or anybody telling what was happening re dinner.
But the biggest disappointment of our stay at the lodge were the game drives. The game driver was very nice, competent and knowledgeable. Only on the first drive did we see game close by. I realise that seeing game is a case of some luck - but one cannot see anything if there aren’t many animals in the park. To go into Kruger was totally out for me as it would have meant a 45 minute drive to the gate of Kruger. On Saturday afternoon they gave us an old, dirty vehicle that was so uncomfortable that I was in a lot of pain after the drive. It was really not a nice experience.

Once in a lifetime trip with Feline
5/5

I was part of a group of 12 friends who went for a lifetime safari with Feline Safaris and it was just incredible. I myself have done many safaris in the past and I was amazed by how well organised, prepared and attentive Bariki and his crew were. From the first day, driving into Soronera camp, they were already trying to maximise our experience by going the extra mile to get us the best Game drive. In that first drive into camp alone, we'd already seen a pair of male lions, giraffes, zebras, hippos and even a leopard! Over the next four days, we would go on to experience the best safari we could've hoped for and all at an affordable price. I really don't think there's another safari package available at a better value than that offered by Feline. And whether you want to stay at hotels or in camps, they are very flexible and accommodating, not to mention, the chef was excellent!
Since returning, I have already recommended Feline Safaris to all my friends in Switzerland and two have already confirmed their trip with them. Thanks again for a memorable safari and I'm sure i'll be back again in the future.

Great safari and service from start to finish!
5/5

My husband and I used Kenneth at Kikwetu Cultural Adventures for our time in Kenya last month. I'm so glad we did because it was fantastic service until the very end! Kenneth arranged logistics for us for all the activities we wanted to do and patiently answered all my questions extremely quickly. Highly recommended!

"Was fully satisfied with their service"
5/5

Solaris Tours & Safari is the best travel company I ever used. You get more than what you paid for. Their communication right from initial contact, to my travel date and throughout duration of my trip was an experience I never expected. Their team of experienced guide drivers are amazing. I marveled at how much knowledge they have as far as wildlife goes, and also different cultures and spectacular sceneries in East Africa. I highly recommend Solaris Tours & safari.

Big Five
5/5

What a great experience. We start with pick up at Kilimanjaro Airport and visit Tarangire, Lake Manyara, 2 Days Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater inclusive Grzimek memorial. Our accomodations Mount Meru View Lodge, Tarangire Safari Lodge, Heritage Tented Camp and Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge. All together medium budget but absolutely wonderful. The price perfomance ratio by Tanzania Outland tours is extraordinary good for Tanzania.

Wonderful experiences with a great driver and many opportunities to explore Uganda.
4/5

The experience was wonderful! It is a well rounded adventure thru Uganda. Spending time with mountain gorillas was the highlight, although, all the animal sightings as well as the opportunity to experience nature, (including the people) was a fabulous opportunity. All the activities were wonderful, and the accommodations were appreciated. I probably would have preferred a ramp up of the accommodations- some were more spartan than others, and I like to leave on a high note- however, all had wonderful parts to them, especially the wildlife that were all around us and all the employees accommodating. We were not surprised by the BBC ranking of Uganda as the #1 most welcoming country in the world. Air conditioning in the van would have been nice, especially when on the red dirt roads where it had not rained for a while- SO much dust. However, I would do it all again, and most likely will.
