Simply the best!!
5/5

Our booking process exceeded all our expectations. We had a rough plan what to do and our agent Nadine came up with a lot ofsuggestions on how to do our trip. She answered a multitude of e-mails with thoroughness, insight and patience with our numerous questions. We never waited longer than a few hours for her answer!
The safari camps and tours she recommended were incredible. We chose: Somalisa Expeditions Camp, Chobe Elephant Camp, BAtonka Guest Lodge and Pelo Camp! The accommodations were what we expected (or better) and the game drives and guides were absolutely amazing.
All in all was the quality of accommodation, service, meals and activities well above what we expected!
The staff at each camp made us feel like family. We can't wait to go back and see new places.
We will plan our next safari with "Safari Specialists" again!
Well done!

Excellent, life-changing experience, great guide!
5/5

Our guide, Rogers, was organized, funny and put our whole group at ease. He was informed, easy to understand and very connected within the safari community in Uganda. He knew just who to talk to, getting us connected with the most friendly gorilla family, giving us the closest encounters possible. We stayed in Bwindi to see the mountain gorillas and then headed to Queen Elizabeth National park for a game drive and boat trip up the channel. So fun!

Fantastic Kenya safari
5/5

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience with Amazing Memories.

We went for an 8-day safari in Kenya, staying in upper range camps and hotels.
From the beginning, our contact Anne was very responsive, tailoring our trip according to our requests. She was waiting at Nairobi airport when we arrived, and gave us a good welcome to Kenya.

The price was reasonable considering the quality of the accommodation, and we stayed in a mix of camps and hotels. Every place we stayed was excellent, going from Amboseli to The Ark in Aberdares, then Lake Nakuru, then the Masai Mara.

Each place was very good, but The Ark was interesting - a hotel right in front of a water hole where you can watch the animals come in style - and Mara Serena in Masai Mara was truly excellent, with breathtaking views.

Our driver Joseph was great, very knowledgeable about the wildlife and friendly and talkative. Thanks to him we knew all the best places to see the animals, and we saw the big 5 and cheetahs and everything else!

We highly recommend Amazing Memories Safaris.

Amazing experience in Kenya.
5/5

We booked the safari online some months earlier and we had everything we had agreed on and even more! Our guide, John, was exceptional: nice, funny, very profesional and really good at finding all the wild animals. We went on a 9 days safari visiting Masai Mara, Nakuru, Baringo, Bogoria, Naivasha and Amboseli, the accomodation was good value with kind staff (except for Naivasha were nature was great but staff were unhelpful and not profesional) and it looked like it could be a bit too long and "too many animals" but centainly it wasn´t!!! We enjoyed every place so much as they are quite different (flamingos in Bogoria, elephants in Ambolseli, rhinos in Nakuru, lions and leopards in Masai, hipos and pelicans in Naivasha,...). So never got bored and were left willing for more in the future!!!

A perfect and tailormade trip around Uganda!
5/5

We asked Sander from Grassrootz to plan a trip that would show us the best of Uganda, and give us the opportunity to get an idea of how the Ugandans live. He succeeded perfectly!

What a fantastic way to visit this beautiful country and its people. We stayed in different kinds of hotels and guesthouses, many of which are part of community projects that support schools or help villages in other ways. That way we got a little closer to the people and also had a great stay at every stop we made.

We had a very professional driver / guide (Paul), who knew everything there was to know about the country and about the national parks, and who made us feel relaxed and at home all the time. We saw beautiful villages, landscapes and people, and in the parks we saw elephants, zebras, antilopes, lions, a leopard, giraffs, crocs, hippos, vultures having a meal ... You name it, we saw it. Thanks to Paul's keen and expereanced eye. The trip was well balanced, flexible and relaxed.

We recommend Grassrootz very warmly!

Kenya and Tanzania safari
4/5

We booked an 11-day continuous safari trip in Kenya (Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha) and Tanzania (Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) from Ancient Wild Safari. Our guides (Patrick in Kenya and Estomi in Tanzania) followed the plan exactly as it was was agreed before, they were very friendly, had a good knowledge about wildlife, and did their best to show us as much as possible. We saw probably all big mammals that are living in these areas and many different species of birds, some small mammals and some reptiles. A visit in a Masai village was also very interesting. Accommodation and catering was in camps and hotels, relatively modest but reasonable given the price. If you go there, you have to be prepared that some roads can be very dusty, not everything is really clean and you will be camping in field conditions, but it is what the camping safari is about. The guides do care about our safety. Actually we felt much safer among lions and hyenas than in downtown Nairobi. I would recommend to take your own sleeping bag with you even if you receive an information that you do not need it, to prevent a disappointment from being given a small or not totally clean local sleeping bag. If you camp at Ngorongoro, be prepared that nights can be very cold because of the high altitude. In August mosquitoes are very few, but there are some. At the accommodations sites beds had mosquito nets or tents could be closed with no gap left for mosquitoes to enter. There were hardly any mosquitoes during the daytime. We were taking antimalarics to be on the safe side, but looking back, I think it was probably not necessary. Vaccination against yellow fever is necessary and officers at the Kenya-Tanzania border require this to be confirmed in you Vaccination Certificate. In general, this trip was a great experience: I would recommend it to everybody who is interested in nature and likes camping. And I can also recommend Ancient Wild Safaris - they are reliable and do a good job.
