An unforgettable trip
Going on a safari had always been one of our dreams and we couldn't be happier that we chose Sould of Tanzania to organize this trip. The word that best sums it up is: professionals. Both for their service from the moment you land until you leave, as well as for all the accommodation places recommended by them.
On the trip we have visited the parks of Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro for 5 days, and we have loved all of them, since each one has something that makes it different, and makes you not get tired of seeing everything that surrounds you. We have been able to see the big 5, lions hunt a buffalo, it has been incredible.
Our guides have been Idrisa (guide work) and Benny (driving work). Idrisa speaks Spanish perfectly, transmits a great enthusiasm for her work and for the animals. He is attentive to every detail to make your trip unique. Benny is a person who demonstrates extensive experience in his work, he knows each of the parks, the animals perfectly and he makes sure that you feel as safe as possible. It has been a luxury to be able to have two guides, since all the logistics have been efficient to the maximum.
Highlight the Soul of Tanzania extra with the "hot lunch" as a differentiating element with respect to most other companies (or at least the 80-90% that we have seen in all the parks). Being able to eat hot, pasta or rice, meat, vegetables, instead of a sandwich, honestly makes a difference. The food is prepared every morning in the lodgings where you sleep and they load it into the vehicle freshly made to eat at noon.
Each and every one of the accommodations during the safari have been wonderful.
We hope to repeat this trip in a few years to visit other areas of the parks, and without a doubt, we will choose Soul of Tanzania again to carry it out. Everything has been easy, starting with the management and planning of the trip with José C., as once they landed in Tanzania for each and every one of the professionals involved in the route. Thank you all.

An excellent tour operator, professional and clear about the conditions
We had a great time in Tanzania, thanks to Gilmag Safaris that organized a wonderful Safari through Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti park!
Our guide Nickson, very experienced, was able to let us see every kind of savana's animals. The choice of the camps to spend the night was impecable. Thanks to Mary for her availability e professionality. We hope to come back again in Tanzania, always with Gilmag!

Couldn't Be Happier With Our Choice!
We found Long Way Expeditions via Responsible Travel. From the moment we approached them for our Safari trip, communications with Ann were always extremely prompt and detailed. We had many many questions and Ann has been fantastic in helping us find the best itinerary for us.
We booked a 6-day Safari that included Lake Natron, Serengeti and Ngoro Ngoro Crater. When we arrived for our Safari we were greeted at Arusha Airport by our Safari guide Abu and later briefed in detail by Ann; we immediately felt at home and well taken care of.
Our accommodations throughout the trip were all very special, with the kindest staff and best service - extremely good value for money. These lodges and camps also provided our lunch for throughout the Safari days - they were very good-quality and well-balanced meals.
Abu is very tuned into his profession. He is an attentive and extremely reliable driver and guide. He has great respect for the land as well as exceptional knowledge. We learned a lot about the history of the land and tribes and the company ensures that all activities are organized responsibly with locals - a very authentic trip.
We travelled in a group of 4, but soon felt as if Abu was the missing 5th member of our group on the trip. We all got along very well and we hope to see him and Ann again very soon!
We would highly recommend travelling with Long Way Expeditions. They are friendly, authentic, responsible, ethical and very very kind :)
Thanks for everything!

Prefessional organisation, working close with local guides and professionals
Our family of 4 booked a round trip with Matoke tours together with two close friends, so we had a private tour with six. Our friends visited Uganda before, also with Matoke, so Matoke arranged another round trip: From Jinja, to Sipi, Moroto, Kidepo, Murchison falls and back to Entebbe. We had to have patience: the trip was postponed 2 years, due to the Covid lockdowns. This was no problem with Matoke, they also booked our flight for this reason.
Since we had a private visit of a school project the week before our tour, we were picked up by our guide/driver Caleb at our hotel in Kampala.
The car was a huge four wheel drive safari car, where we fitted in all six. Caleb was a skilled and safe driver. One day we had to drive a very wet and muddy slippery road, and he managed to get us through safely. Caleb could tell us really much about the country and its history, culture and the different people inhabiting Uganda. He used to be a ranger, so in the Safari parks he drove us around spotting game really skillfully, with a very sharp eye, and visibly enjoying it himself. Matoke can be happy to employ good dedicated guides like Caleb.
The Lodges that were booked were all good. Unfortunately in Kidepo savannah lodge the luxury safari tents were booked full, so that we had a tent with a public sanitary unit. It was clean enough, but really a bit scary in the very dark night, with roaring lions in the neighbourhood... The view though was magnificent. The next logde, Murchison River logde became our favorite: Luxury tents with private bathroom, at the border of river Nile, with a small pool, and an excellent restaurant. Every meal had also a vegetarian option, good for our vegetarian daughter.
The Chimpansee tracking was unforgettable, though the Budongo Eco Lodge was a bit aged, but with very friendly staff.
In Moroto we stayed at Karamoja Safari Lodge. It apeared that they were overbooked, and our friends were installed in another hotel, but using the meals of Karamoja. So this little problem was solved properly. We found ourselves uncomfortable visiting the local tribe, as if we were going to the zoo, but these are living free people...
Uganda apeared to us a very hospitable country with really kind and cheerful inhabitants. We felt welcome and safe during the whole trip.
In the end, we had two fantastic weeks enjoying the beautiful countryside of Uganda, travelling safely with a Safari jeep and a joyful skilled driver and guide.

One of the best experiences of my life!
We had the loveliest and most exciting days in Mikumi National Park together with our guide Tony! Everything went smoothly, from the initial quote we requested to our drop off in Dar es Salaam. The whole safari was super well planned, the lodges we booked were good and there was always enough food and drinks. Tony was also flexible regarding our wishes and needs. Also important to mention, we felt safe and well guided the entire time. During the game drives, Tony explained a lot about the nature and animals and he had a good eye for the best spots to see all the animals. We even managed to see two leopards!
All in all, I would at any time recommend Shammah Wonders Safari to my family and friends, and especially our friend Tony as our trusted guide.

Very professional
They were very kind and professional, listened to our needs and created a plan that fitted my family well. They are knowledgable about safari and animals, know where to spot the animals, when to go. We felt safe knowing they had everything under control. Highly recommend!

It was just amazing,
It was just amazing, the volume of wildlife was incredible. I could not believe how many animals there were. We did a sunrise balloon ride which was expensive but so worth it. Breakfast on the plains when we landed was just surreal with all the wildlife around. Lions, Cheetah, Elephant, Zebra, Wilder beast, Impala, Gazelle, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hyena, Crocodiles, Ostrich, Vulture, Hippo, Jackal and many more seen :) Camp site was amazing, private site with just 12 travelers + guides ... very luxurious with en suite! Picnic a few hundred feet from the crocodiles ... another next to the Hippos.
