Great trek to Lake Bunyonyi
5/5

We really enjoyed a combination trekking (hiking) and canoeing on beautiful lake Bunyonyi. The views as you hike up the surrounding hills are amazing! Our guide was very good and gave us lots of information and local people, history and customs. The meal at the end of the day was very good too.

Swala Safaris made our honeymoon truly memorable, a professional and friendly safari operator
5/5

My wife and I had an absolutely great time on safari with Swala Safaris.

We were on our honeymoon which included Dubai and the Maldives and this was by far our highlight. I can’t recommend them enough. You are definitely making the right decision with Swala Safaris.

Rose from the first email was very prompt and friendly. I wasn’t sure how many days we needed and I kept chopping and changing over a 4 week period and Rose was able to accommodate every request.

Our driver was Felix and if I were you, I would request him from Rose. Through my research, Felix kept popping up and everyone was saying ask for Felix. It was the best decision and he made our safari experience priceless.

Felix’s knowledge of the animals and the areas is amazing. I was amazed at how much he knew and how well he could spot animals from afar. We were extremely lucky to see a crossing at the Mara River and a lioness hunt down not one but two Wilderbeast. That came down to Felix’s intuition.

He answered all my questions (and I had a lot!) with ease and I had a great talk to him about the country’s history, culture and politics. I was equally amazed at his knowledge and passion on those topics. He is very friendly and makes you feel welcome from the get go. His English is great, I never struggled to speak or understand him.

My wife was a little sick on the first few days from the flight over and Felix made sure she was fine every day and didn’t make the days too long, which was great.

Food was delicious. One of the best parts of the safari was the accommodation that Rose organised. We had to pinch ourselves each time we pulled up to the camps and lodges. It’s stuff you see in movies and we were experiencing it!

The Toyota Land Cruiser that was used was an absolute champion. Some of the terrain through the Serengeti is rough but it took it all in its stride and it’s all on how Felix was able to navigate through it all. It was always clean and had cold fresh water for us. We saw heaps of them break down on the way but ours just kept chugging along. We never felt unsafe in it.

In terms of price, it was very reasonable. I wouldn’t say the cheapest but definitely not expensive. I would say you get what you pay for but I felt like we got more for our money. It’s definitely worth the coin.

Overall, the itinerary that Rose proposed was perfect. Perfect amount of travel to each camp/lodges and also more than enough time to explore the national parks to see the animals.

I can’t rave on about them enough! I’ve recommended them to everyone back home in Sydney to do a safari in Tanzania through Swala Safaris!

Amazing Personable Service
5/5

I can't thank Amanda enough for helping make our safari memorable. Prior to the safari, she took time to explain what to expect and worked with me to create a custom safari for me and my friends. We had a private safari for four. Even after our trip, Amanda took time to gather feedback. I highly recommend African Scenic Safaris.

Totally surprised!
5/5

We had a wonderful trip from Durban to St. Lucia to Hluhluwe game reserve and back. We slept at the Hilltop Lodge and it was very nice, clean and the view we had was fantastic! We went to an early morning drive 5.00 - 8.00 and saw so many animals!! We were so lucky! We had expected much less.

Rowly did a great job and showed us everything worth seeing. He was very friendly and answered all our questions. He picked us up at the airport, was with us all the time and took care of us. He also showed us Durban and even took us back to the airport at 5am.

If you ever go to Durban, the Drakensberg and the Kwazulu Natal you have to book your trip with GoWild Safaris. With your "own" guide can you do what you prefer and at the time you like. It's so different to a group.

Traveling to Tanzania - utilize African Traits for exceptional and unforgettable service!!!!
5/5

My wife and I we're referred to African Traits and utilized them to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. This was the best choice we made during our month trip to Tanzania. We communicated with Godfrey through email and by phone and I must say my generalization of Tanzania is that everything is slower and takes longer. Not with Godfrey, he always responded quickly to the many questions we had, professional, courteous and personally provided transport from Arusha to Moshi where we stayed the night before our climb up Mount Kilimanjaro. The trip was amazing, we did the Lemosho route which I highly recommend (6-8 days). The staff with African Traits are always on point, the porters we're all polite, loved what they do, and are in incredible shape! Our guides Teacher John & Anderson we're incredible, spoke surprisingly impressive english and made the trip so much more memorable (Anderson played local music during our daily treks per our request)! After our summit day and returning to Moshi we mentioned wanting to check out a smaller Moshi coffee tour. Godfrey set us up with a perfect day as we went on a private, small coffee tour and even hiked to an amazing waterfall. This was very intimate as we we're the only ones on the tour and as Alaskans, we appreciate smaller tours like the one Godfrey set up! This was an amazing way to finish our Kili adventure. We used several other companies while in Tanzania for Safaris and such, but none came close to African Traits, thanks for everything Godfrey, as mentioned, we will recommend anyone we know coming to Tanzania to you!

Incredible experience!
5/5

I am so very pleased with my African experience with Boniface and East Africa Adventure Club. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Boniface can customize your trip so that it is perfect for you. Our trip started with a few days touring Arusha to recover after our flight from the USA. Next we climbed Kilimanjaro with a fantastic crew that Boniface arranged for us. After checking that item off the bucket list, we explored the amazing parks of Tanzania and Kenya. Boniface and our driver took great care of us along the way. They taught me so much about the animals and set us up for some great photos. Seeing all the wildlife up close was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! After almost two weeks on safari, we flew to Zanzibar to relax on the beach (and visit Stone Town) for a few days before our return home. Once again, Boniface had everything organized for us. My African trip will always hold a special place in my heart and I will cherish the memories forever. Thanks so much for everything. I hope to return one day and visit Rwanda and Uganda with East Africa Adventure Club.

One of the best experiences of my life.....lourens is an excellent guy to book your drives.
5/5

One of the best experiences of my life,
Thanks to Lourens, Armand(our guide) for delivering wht was said and more...
It's such a sense of excitement and suspense everytime we go for our drives and it becomes more exciting when your guide shares the same excitement and makes u feel heard. We sighted lions, hippos, rhinos, giraffe , zebras , cheetah , baboons hyenas, cape buffalos, imphalas, eagles, kudus but most importantly our sighting of a leopard drinking water from the same pond as a hyena was so exciting, can't express,,
Overall it was very fulfilling trip.
Lourens not only makes ur stay and drives pleasant but he also helped me get my lost bag all the way from Kruger park to suncity....
Thanks lourens s and Armand....

Easy to use
5/5

We didn't need the safari tour services of Bushtroop Safaris, but we did need a car and a driver to get us from Nairobi to a lodge in Tsavo before going on two days later to Kenya's south coast. Bushtroop provided the car and an excellent, professional (and safe!) driver at a very reasonable rate. The arrangement was hassle free and the company's email communications were excellent from the off.

Good service for the price
3/5

Edward was extremely communicative before I arrived in Uganda and was willing to work with me to build a package within my budget. They picked me up at my guest house in Entebbe but the safari car they picked me up in ended up having some issues so we had to switch to my guides personal van. It ended up working out fine but this put our schedule off track. They also over charged me by $20 upon arrival but by the time I noticed I was not able to meet them to get it back. All in all, if you're looking for a budget safari Home to Africa is a great option.
