Awesome service at a reasonable price
We were a group of 3 people traveling to Tanzania. We used Migration Venture Africa for a safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro as well as the hike up Kilimanjaro. We mostly worked with Amos to organize both trips. Amos was very responsive via email and later via WhatsApp. Once we arrived at Kilimanjaro airport there was someone to pick us up and take us to Moshi. We stayed at their motel in Moshi. While it's passable for one nights stay and at $25 a night I wasn't going to complain, I would pay a little but more and stay at a slightly better place if we had to do it again.
Our guide to Serengeti and Ngorongoro was God Love. He was fantastic. He kept us on schedule (as much as he could), was super knowledgeable and had an eye for spotting wildlife. We saw four of the big five animals while touring with him, in addition to all the other grazing animals. We stayed at the Tokaone resort in Serengeti and it was a really nice place to stay. Food was great, accommodation was clean and the hot shower was awesome.
Our Migration Venture Africa team that guided us up to the Kilimanjaro summit and back was just awesome. We chose the Marangu route to hike up. From our guides Joseph and Good Luck to our cook (we just called him Mamma ;-)), our waiter Adam and the rest of the porters they were just the best group. They paced us up the trail to give us the best chance of summiting. The food was good and enough. Their words of encouragement and gentle push up the final climb is what allowed us to summit Mt. Kili. Even the driver who took us and brought us back from the park entrance in Marangu was awesome.
My only gripe is with the tipping system. I wish it would just get built into the price of the tour instead of us trying to figure out how much to give to each person. We didn't know how many people would be on our team (porters, guides etc.) so it was difficult to budget. In addition, you don't want to give someone less than what they deserve or need. Same for the safari guide as well. We ended up taking 45 minutes after we got back into Moshi to put cash into envelopes for each person based on the guidance from Migration Ventures as well as reading through Lonely Planet and some forums on Trip Advisor. This was probably my least favorite part of my experience.
Migration Ventures was easy to work with and is a good value for money. I researched a few other tour companies and they were able to provide the safari and the Kili hike at the best price. With the exception of the hostel stay, I did not feel like I was on a budget tour. If I visited the area again I would not hesitate to use Migration Ventures again and I would recommend them without any hesitation.

Fred and Martin were very flexible. In a professional trip i cancelled and then confirm my trip to masai mara within 24h and only 2 days before and that wasn't a big trouble for them. Somehow we even manage to see the big five the first day ! Fred and Kephar, our driver, were very nice. Didn't feel to be solo travelling. I recommand !

Fantastic!
We have booked a 14 day round trip in Uganda with Grassrootz. After postponing the trip twice because of corona we finally decided to do the trip at the end of September 2021.
Sander from Grassrootz was very helpful during the whole planning process (adoption of activities, flight changes) and even set up a Whattsapp group for us in case something unexpected happend at the entry to Uganda.
After arrival our fantastic guide David picked us up at the airport and we were driven to the hotel.
After that, the next 14 days have simply been stunning. During the long drives between the national parks, our guide David always knew exactly where to go if we needed something (cash machine, super markets etc.)
During our game drives, David was fantastic as well. He had all the knowledge about the wildlife and also knew the best spots for finding the most interesting animals. He even knew in which trees the lions like to rest.
Because of my special interest in birds, David looked for birds as well and spotted some special species (for example the Meyer‘s Parrot).
Everytime David stopped the car during a game drive and used his binoculars, the excitement level went up. He had such a good eye for wildlife that we often asked ourselves how he was able to spot all these things (for example a Leopard in a tree pretty far away).
Furthermore David is a relaxed guy who was on our wavelength. We really enjoyed driving around Uganda with him.
Also a big thanks to Sander for picking great hotels and activities. We always felt safe, the views from hotel rooms were magnificent. You just don’t need a TV or around the clock electricity if you have views like that.
Before departure, David organized a PCR-Test for us as well. Even taking the PCR-Test was so uncomplicated that you could forget that there was a pandemic.
All in all, it was an unforgettable holiday. We can only recommend to book your Safari with Grassrootz and experience Uganda!

Very professional
This company's staff is kind, caring and especially well organized. They planned every detail, At the camps, the staff couldn't do any more than they did to make our stay comfortable, and ensure that we were safe and happy.
We were lucky to observe among other animals, a pride of lions, a family of cheetahs, elephants, zebras, many birds and a leopard eating his kill.
Safari Update Travels are environmentally friendly.
If you use another company, you are missing your best opportunity to have a great time.

Best Safari guide
Would highly recommend Safari Update Travels. We were on a private safari to Amboseli with our amazing driver Sam. He was so knowledgeable and made sure were were happy with every stage of the journey. His insights into even the most minute detail of animals behavior opened up our safari experience to a different level. The organization was superb and the land-cruiser was the ideal vehicle for the rough roads.

beautiful experience
We did a 5 days safari and one day to the Kilimanjaro.
It was wonderful, we saw 4 of the big 5 (unfortunately we didn't see rhino).
We've been to the Serengeti, the Tarangire and to the Ngorongoro.
We spent 2 nights in tent it was a great experience.
The guide (Mandela) was really great and the chef (Tito) is a really really good cooker, it was the best food we eat in Tanzania!
We loved this safari experience.
The 2 guys from the agency are nice and professional.
The 1rst hotel (Arusha Inn hotel) is in the city center, it's really noisy, you should ask for another one.
But you can choose this agency without any hesitation.

Wonderful experience
This was the second safari for my wife and me and we were so happy we went with Safari Update Travels. Not only are the camps family friendly, they are also Eco-friendly and give back to communities in which they are located. We were so taken care of from the start of the booking process until we were dropped off at the Nairobi airport at the end of our journey. Fabulous trip
I and my family went on 3 tours, to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and to Masai Mara. The first had the most amazing heard of Elephants, as well as spectacular view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Plenty of animals at Lake Nakuru... lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffe, buffalo. In masai mara the wildlife was fantastic, wildebeest,topis,gazelles for starters. We saw lions kills, at play and asleep. The trip was far more than we expected. I would definitely recommend Safari Update Travels as for anyone looking the best tour company
