Exceptional Service and Professionalism
We booked an African Safari adventure with Giltedge back in 2019 for travel in 2020 to South Africa and Namibia. Unfortunately, Covid changed everyone's plans in 2020 so we opted to delay until August of this year. Giltedge and Tanya was with us every step of the way, advising, recommending and offering various options in our rebooking. Even up to the last minute where our airline cancelled flights to South Africa a month before we left, they stayed with us in planning the trip. And as luck would have it the unrest in Johannesburg was a concern a week or two before we left. With Tanya's help and recommendation, we rewrote the schedule a week before with stays outside of the Johannesburg and an additional Safari in Savuti in Botswana! What was originally a two stop tour turned into a sight seeing excursion on the White River with a safari in Ghoha Hills Lodge in Savuti. Our journey brought with it because of Covid and traveling through 4 countries, multiple immigration stops and multiple covid tests in order to move through the various places including returning to the States. All along the way Giltedge provided assistance for our group and had people at every stop along the way to assist. This was a godsend. And the safari's? Excellent places with great customer service, exceptional accommodations and food to die for. And guides that were knowledgeable, friendly and always eager to help. I cannot say enough of the support and service we received from Giltedge. Special thanks for Tanya for staying with us every step of the way and to Murry for assuring us that it was ok in Johannesburg to travel through. You owe it to yourself to book a journey of a lifetime with Giltedge.

George was great to spend time with!
Andre was a big help in planning our trip to Kenya. Even when our E-Visas were messed up and we were denied boarding our flight at the airport ( YUP! We were not happy) Andre was able to help change our plans and schedule to move everything out a week. This was a huge help. Once that was all fixed the Safari was great. Everything was one time. Our guide George was great and a lot of fun to spend the week with. The camps were clean and food was good. There is a lot of driving both on Safari and between reserves, so prepare for a lot of time in the the car. However, the experiences are worth it.

Once in a Lifetime Safari!
My safari with Axis was an incredible experience! When planning my safari, Lennox answered all of my questions quickly. He helped me plan a safari within my budget, and he gave me the best price out of all the companies I talked to.
My driver, Khalifa was the best! He spotted animals quickly, I was able to see the Big 5, and he was always able to navigate through the terrain so I could get take up close pictures. Both Khalifa and Lennox checked on me throughout the entire trip to make sure I was okay.
I was able to see so many animals and beautiful places, and I was able to learn about the Maasai tribe. It was a once in a life time experience!!! I highly recommend Axis!

Amazing Safari
We chose the 7 days Safari from Nairobi to Mombasa, going through Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli NP and Tsavo West.
Our contact from the company was George. Very nice and helpful at any times. You can trust him.
The trip was amazing! We have seen the big five and a lots of others animals. We have witnessed the beginning of the migration.
All of the hotel booked by George were magical. We would almost be sad because we didn’t have enough time to enjoy these beautiful places.
Also David, our guide, was very kind and considerate with us, patient and good guide/driver. Sometimes disorganized but it’s fine.
Negative side: The traffic.
From Nairobi to Amboseli National Park traffic was VERY disturbed and slow. It took 6 hours to get to the hotel. So we have lost the entire day on the road.. No game drive the evening.
Anyway, I recommend this company. You will not be disappointed. Very good value for the price.
Thanks again to them.

Fantastic tour with a group of spontaneous people.
I can recommend the safari with John and co with a pure heart. Perfect organization, everything on time, just a great adventure. Additionally, the fastest driver on the Serengeti Zuma and the best chef Adam made our stay a wonderful one. We saw all the animals included in the big five thanks to the commitment of our guide. We strongly recommend !!!

Good Safari to remember
We had a good safari experience with Sino Africa Safari. The planning and communication was good, hotels we stayed were good also. The best part of the safari is having Kennedy as our driver, he cares about us and knows everything about wildlifes and cultures. We recommend them and Kennedy as your safari guide!

It was really awesome !
Spending 2 weeks on Zanzibar first half of August, we eventually decided to book a 2 day/1 night safari game drive and we did not regret it at all !
* Organisation
The whole organisation was perfect :
- collected on time from our Nungwi hotel
- flight departed on time from ZNZ to Selous
- you start the safari directly upon arrival
- you end the safari on day 2 at the airstrip
- return flight again departed on time
- transfer from ZNZ back to Nungi
* Driver/guide
We met our driver/guide JOSEPH upon arrival at the Selous airstrip.
It was his childhood dreamjob and he’s got it
He was really great : as a driver, as a guide (think encyclopedia Brittanica about animals & plants) and finally also as a person.
If we would have had a son (we have 2 lovely daughters( he would of been great
* Vehicle
We had an open 4x4 Suzuki/Maruti SJ413 with 5 individual comfortable passenger seats, staged on 3 different levels for optimal viewing.
Although it did look a little worn & torn, it did the job perfectly. Btw, after finishing, we better understood the first look of the vehicle as one does quite some 4x4 off road.
* Game drive / safari
One should know that of the so called big 5, there are only 4 possible at Selous as there are no more rhino still alive. Joseph als told us that seeing a leopard would be very fortunate.
Out of the 4, we saw 3 : lions, buffalos and Elephants Furthermore we also saw : impalas, zebras, girafes, swine (pumbas), wildebeests, hippos, crocodiles, vultures, birds of prey, various colourful birds, squirrels, baboons, other smaller monkeys.
We also saw a 1.500+ year old baobab tree, even more impressive than the Sequoia we saw in the USA.
* Accomodation
Welcomed by 3 real Maasai who actually guard the place
We only stayed 1 night :
- room : glamping tent with ac : was just ok
- food : was ok, but choice rather limited
- drinks : not very very cold and no ice…
- power shut off : from 22h00 to 05h00
Some a.m. are 1st world issues but now you know..
* Tips
- travel light (small planes…)
- bring a torch
- the roads can get dusty sometimes
- better to wear long trousers/pants/jogging
- better to wear closed shoes not sandals
- am : right side of car exposed to sun
- pm : left side of car exposed to sun
^ Bottom line
Can we recommend this company ? Absolutely !
Make sure to ask them to set you up with JOSEPH as driver/guide and a very good person
Enjoy true nature as long it is still there…
