Found it really easy to organise through WhatsApp. Emmah was my ‘tour guide’ and driver for the day! A very pleasant experience that enabled me to visit one of the local national parks (Pilanesburg) from Johannesburg and benefit from Emmahs wealth of historical knowledge. An amazing safari and brilliant tour guide
Where do we start?!? Dicky was INCREDIBLE! From the moment we booked the trip, he was always at the end of the phone, helping us plan activities for the rest of our trip, recommending things to do, places to stay and even booking us train tickets that had to be done in country. When we met Dicky he was so so friendly, kind and nothing was too much to ask. He picked us up at the start time promptly (often early) and made sure we knew the plan for the day. On our journeys he talked to us about Kenya/Mambasa and the places we were going and really got to know us as people. He was so intrigued about England and it was so lovely to see how much he loved Kenya.
3 DAY SAFARI: Dicky picked us up early for the start of our 3 day safari. During the journey he told us all about the places we were going to stay and the two parks we would visit. He couldn't promise we would see any animal but would do his best to try and see as much as we could. IT WAS INCREDIBLE and we were SO lucky! Our first time in Tsavo East and we got to see Lions, Giraffes, Buffalos, Zebras, Elephants. The driver was an incredibly safe driver, and the jeep was so roomy with a great roof to look out of. Tsavo West was just as good and we got to see lions so close up we could hear them crunching and an amazing cheetah, as well as the mass of giraffes, zebras, elephants, mongoose, and birds. Dicky and the driver were very knowledgeable and made our experience amazing.
All the accommodation we stayed at was great. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. They understand we were out early mornings, and we were given time to enjoy the facilities at the hotels. Especially the pools and viewpoints watching the animals come up close and personal.
I would definitely recommend KT safaris as a tour guide. You will be in very safe hands. We can't wait to book our next adventure with Dicky!

Amazing safari - big recommendation
We had such a wonderful time with Lappet Faced Safari and were completely happy with our choice. The organisation and the airport pickup went super easy and they are very reliable. Gabriel, our guide, was speaking German which was fantastic. Their knowledge was impressive and it felt like an all-inclusive trip because every detail was organised. All in all I can recommend Francisco and his team warmly to everyone who plans to do a safari in Tanzania.

Best safari ever! We just loved it!
As students with low budget we were not sure if we should really invest the money - retrospectively it was the best decision we could have made! We were warmly welcomed at the airport und felt so safe an well looked-after all the time we were extremely sad when we had to leave. All in all, there is not a single thing to criticize, everthing went smoothly and our expectations were exceeded. The food was fantastic (and a lot), and our guide tried really hard to show us the big five (which he managed thanks to his experience in finding the best spots and his sharp eyes). We learned so much, not only about the animals but also about the country and culture. Our guide was very competent, fluent in german and very nice- we will definetely try to come back!

They are the big five of Safari tours
We had a wonderful time during our safari Tour with lappet faced safaris! We didn‘t know what to expect since this would be our first experience but our expectations weren‘t just fulfilled but exceeded!
We were warmly welcomed by Fransisco and our Tour Guide Gabriel and were always looked after. When there was a Problem he could help us immediately and was very professional. The communication was very uncomplicated and he responded very quickly!
Gabriel is an excellent and well experienced Guide. We were brought to the best Spots to see all the animlas, the beautiful landscape and some spectacular sunrises. He was incredible spotting the animals from very far distances so that we were very lucky to see all the Big five and many more!
He is a good driver and we felt very safe during the whole time. He even speaks fluent german and knows all the German names of the animals which was great. We learned a lot about the wildlife, the Environment and the area.
The food during our trip which was cooked by our friendly cook was also very delicious.
We had an outstanding experience during our five days and it felt like saying goodbye to Friends when we were leaving.
We will keep it in very good memory and hope to Return one day!
