A fantasic trip for the whole family
5/5

We just came back from an amazing first trip to Tanzania. Tanzania Explorer tailor made a trip for us according to who we are, what we wanted, time of year and budget and we were all very satisfied with the result. Two families with children aged from 8 to 15 all had a fantastic and magical time specially in Ngorongoro and Serengeti, and we would not hesitate recommending this to others. Our guides were very knowledgeable and great travel companions and we definitely would like to go back some day!

Excellent Safari
5/5

My experience in Tanzania wouldn't be complete if it weren't for the amazing team at Afrishare Trekking and Safaris that organized our Safari and Mt. Kilimanjaro climbing expedition. The team was well organized and approached all our needs with a lot of care. Both the Safari crew and Mt. Kilimanjaro climbing crew were well trained and possessed lots of knowledge in their respective fields.
Thanks Ibrahim and the whole team at Afrishare for the amazing holiday experience you gave us and I hope to do more expeditions with you guys in the future.

Professionalism and work ethics at its best.
5/5

We had the pleasure of doing our Safari and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro courtesy of Afrishare Trekking and Safaris. Being our first visit to Tanzania we were a bit skeptic in our anticipation, but as it turned out we had made the right choice by settling with Afrishare as our travel partner. We had travelled as a group and I was handed the responsibility of making the arrangements for our visit to Tanzania.
We arrived in Tanzania and were well received at the airport by Ibrahim the C.E.O of the firm and he was very helpful to us. He started by giving us our safari briefings and a glimpse of Tanzanian history which was very interesting. The knowledge he exhibited of his country was vast and pretty much enlightened us on the amazing time we were going to have with Afrishare and in Tanzania as a whole.
Our accommodation was very comforting and the food was amazing; a mixture of both local and international cuisine prepared by a team of well trained chefs.
According to our schedule we started off by climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro on a 5 day trip via Marangu route. The climbing crew comprised of two well trained certified Mountain Guides, a chef and his assistant and team of ten porters. The overall work done by the Mountain crew was exceptional. The mountain guides knew all the terrain of the Mountain and they gave us a well detailed information pertaining the history of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
After our expedition of Mt. Kilimanjaro we had a 4 day Safari of Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire which was top notch in standards. Our Safari driver Fred showed an immense amount of knowledge of the places we visited and he was very good in spotting animals that we were all excited to see.
Overall, what I can say is that we had the best time of in Tanzania and all that wouldn't be possible if it weren't for Afrishare's amazing team.
Thank you so much Afrishare for the amazing experience you offered us and we would definitely come back for another expedition and partner up with you guys.

Over and Beyond my expectations
5/5

I was extremely impressed with the professional service with Encounter Africa Safaris. I was a bit worried about booking a family tour with a non ABTA company, but I could not have been better served. Chris was on hand in the beginning to immediately answer any queries and to try and put our minds at rest. Patrick met us at some ungodly hour in the middle of the night at the airport and even dropped us off at the end. He was a great driver and guide. We felt safe and secure with him as he negotiated some difficult road, never making a rash move. His cultural and environment knowledge was greatly appreciated. The accommodation booked was wonderful and quirky. The meals were delicious and nourishing. We went to bewitching Bwindi for the gorilla trek and stayed at Broadbill Forest camp (an enchanting place!). Stayed at Bufflo Lodge at Queen Elizabeth National Park for the Safari tours and then at the homely Rwenzori View Guest House at Fort Portal for the Chimp and Swamp tours. My family had a wonderful holiday and I would highly recommend this company.

These guys were fantastic. They went above and beyond to ensure we saw the big 5. They were very knowledgable about the area, park, wildlife and fauna.

They provided all accommodation & food and it was all excellent.

Safari experience was more wonderful than I could have imagined!
5/5

Peter did a wonderful job of tailoring our safari to our exact needs and the time we had available. Our driver was determined to make our experience memorable, as was Peter. Kibo Safari Camp was something out of the movies, beautiful accommodations and delicious buffet. We highly recommend Peter as your safari director!

An experience I won't ever forget
5/5

Last 2012, my family decide to go to South Africa for a vacation. I consulted with a local agency, they were not able to give us an itinerary since it was too early (March 2013, intended date of our vacation). So I went online to see if I could just book a tour or look for other agencies, the 1st website I checked was African Welcome Safari, I answered some questions on their website. I wasn't sure if they would reply since I have experienced with other agency who didn't. When Kathi Simon replied, she gave us an idea of what to expect, places to visit, what clothes to wear, what kind of luggage to bring and etc. She took care of everything. Fast forward to 2016, we decided to go to East Africa this time and I inquired if I she can give us an itinerary and she did. She took care of everything again. My sister asked me why do we have to go to 3 different camps or lodges if we can just stay in 1 place and experience it all, like we did in South Africa. We only appreciated it all when we were there and experienced all different places that we went to. In short, I have no regrets whatsoever of booking with African Welcome Safari. If we ever decide to go back to Africa, we will definitely book again with them.

A breathtaking experience, where wo got more than we ever could have wished for
5/5

We are a family of four (My parents, boyfriend and me) and we booked the tour online from Germany.
The booking process went smooth and easy and Norah from EasyTravel helped us every step along the way.
When we arrived at Arusha airport we got picked up by our personal guide Ombeni. From there we where taken straight to the EasyTravel office in Arusha where we got a very detailed briefing by two staff members of EasyTravel. They made sure that we felt comfortable and that there where no questions open on our side.
My Dad wasn't so good on foot at that time, so we were a bit concerned on how comfortable he would be during the safari. As it turned out it wasn't a problem at all. The small walking tour we did was arranged to be a little less demanding so that we all could enjoy it together and the rest of the safari was mostly done by car (a spacious Toyota with sunroof and coolbox!). From the office our guide took us to our first beautiful hotel (all the hotels we stayed in where quaint, with perfect service and friendly staff). The next day our long expected Safari (btw. Safari means journey in Suaheli) started. Our first destination was Lake Manyara National park, the home of the famous tree climbing lions. Our wonderful guide Ombeni did not only manage to show us all of the big five but kept us entertained on the long drives between Parks. We could ask him anything about everything. Not only did he know all there was to know about animals, but he also about Tanzanian history, politics and culture. He taught us some words in Suaheli and in return we thought him some german. When we left Serengeti National Park on day 3 we had already seen 4 of the big five and had a very close encounter with a cheetah on the back of our car. Ombeni always seemed to know exactly where to find certain animals. He was never satisfied until he had taken us at arm's length with lions, Buffalos, Giraffes and many more. Still we felt safe at every moment. This holiday my Family and I, surely will never forget!
