Brilliant, hospitable and memorable experience
5/5

We had a hospitable and brilliant experience. The communication from the office was good, updated us on booking progress and all was needed of us. All we did was to pay our fees and they did the rest for us without any hiccups. We just carried our bags and went to enjoy our holiday. Perfect warm weather and hospitable staff at the hotel ready to host us. We are also glad that the honeymoon packages were affordable.

A truly exciting, unforgettable, 3 week adventure from Cape Town to Zimbabwe and a slice of Botswana
5/5

Friends put us on to To Escape To after a highly successful holiday in Kenya. Our communication with the To Escape To team in Cape Town initially from the UK and later from within South Africa was a synch. It soon became apparent that the team had a really broad understanding of the African continent and further afield. Their advice and help was always very quickly available.
To Escape To's interpretation of our rough ideas and their subsequent choice of venues, accommodation and events was perfect. We wanted to see some of the highlights of South Africa, from Cape Town to Kwazulu Natal plus a few days at the Victoria Falls. Our finalised itinerary also took in the Cape winelands; the Garden Route; Drakensberg mountains; Kwazulu game reserves; Indian Ocean beaches and three days in Zimbabwe and Botswana. A gentle start leading up to a crescendo at the Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park.
Our absolute favourite was the 'andBeyond' Phinda Private Game Reserve. An extraordinary organisation, sophisticated and professional, but with the most wonderful genuine welcome. We instantly felt like one of the family. On arrival we were introduced to our ranger and tracker who immediately took us on an introductory safari, the precursor to morning and evening safaris for the next three days. We saw four of the 'big five' - the leopard eluded us, but we did see cheetah and cubs - and many other animals and birds. Each couple had their own spacious lodge with a plunge pool shared with elephants which came to drink during dry spells. Nyala and wart hogs sheltered in the shade, and from predators, beneath our lodge - just magic.
After visiting the awesome Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, and staying in the equally wonderful Ilala Lodge, we snatched a day in Botswana's Chobe game park. Getting really close up to elephants, a herd of touchy male water buffalos, and huge hippos vying for territory and mating rights, from a very small boat was incredibly exciting. Then there were the other favourites: giraffes, wart hogs, zebras, wildebeest and the antelopes. Between Phinda and Chobe we encountered a huge diversity of animals and birds, the majority of the 29 animals and 74 birds we recorded on our three week stay.
All these wonderful opportunities were put together by To Escape To's gifted team

Amazing experiences seeing the wildlife in their natural environments
4/5

Safari certainly lived up to expectations We were given many opportunities to see the wildlife. The accommodation
we stayed at was wonderful being not only clean and tidy but with very welcoming hosts. The meals out allowed us to experience not only some of Africa's food but also provided us with some cultural experiences. The main guide was very accommodating and certainly had a passion and wealth of knowledge of the wildlife. Any issues were quickly resolved The local guides we experienced were also very helpful and knowledgeable. The support team were not only very efficient but helpful and friendly

Pius is the best guide ever! Amazing safari
5/5

Everything five stars. Amazing lunches in the wild, we had this amazing guide called Pius who could magically feel where the animals would be. Really nice car. All the big5 and even a hunt. Only 4 days safari and we saw everything. Magical experience. Communication was top notch too.

The best park is Serengeti, than Ngorongoro. Tarangire so so but beautiful. Cheers

It was an experience to remember having been facilitated by Thornbird Tours and I look forward to the next tour. I can confidently recommend Thornbird Tours as they understand the Holiday requirements that can suit anyone, just give them your requirement and your expected spend, then they will do the rest and return you to where they picked you up.

Highly recommended!
5/5

We went on 5-day camping safari with Armadillo and it was an unforgettable experience.
The safari itself was very well organised and travelling in Truck Norris made a lot of fun. The truck has absolutely everything you need inside or even more! (including espresso machine, binoculars, board games for the children etc.) Another thing - it is higher than normal 4x4 jeeps so you can spot more and it is big enough to allow you to walk from one side to another.
Our guide Morris was excellent - he spots every animal even from very far away and makes sure you see as much as possible. He was a guide, driver and cook and did everything very well. The food he prepared was always very tasty and there was a lot of it - so do not worry if it would be enough, he makes sure it will be!
We slept 4 nights in a tent and I think it is the best option for safari. Tents are big, comfortable and completely closed so no insects can go in. They are equipped with torch, matresses, pillows and sleeping bags.
You will definitely not regret if you choose Armadillo Overland Safari!!!

Great Experience for our Budget
5/5

In the lead up to our 5-day safari with Back of Africa Adventure, Allan was very helpful in getting the logistics and planning organized for our trip. He was prompt with his responses, and made our preparation an easy process. One thing that we did not expect when organizing this trip for our group of 4 was that we would be sharing our experience with others who had booked budget Serengeti tours as well, but this only really enhanced the experience. Everyone, from our guide, Simon, to our cook, Mr. Delicious, to our fellow tourists made the experience great. There were a couple times where there would be lulls in the trip (an hour or more) due to arranging permits for the parks, but I don't know how much the company is at fault for this or if it's the park's poor communications infrastructure. Overall, the 5-day trip we took was one of my favourite experiences I've had across 4 continents of travelling, and would highly recommend this if you're looking to avoid spending an arm and a leg. Camping in the Serengeti and getting to hear the hyenas was so cool!

My first trip to Africa felt like a breeze because these guys know what they are doing!
5/5

I have nothing bad to say about Luciano Tours and Travel. Everyone we have met apart of this business has beeen absolutely wonderful. They have been patient and have catered to all of our needs. This is my first time to Africa and I never felt stressed or confused; they are really good about informing you of everything you need to know. I highly recommend using the services they provide - I promise you they will not disappoint!! Because of all the time we have spent together they have really started to feel more like family, which is part of what made my trip to Africa even more special. They care for you as if you were their own.
