Professional and very well organized
5/5

Silverbird Tours were very easy to work with to develop a custom 5 day/4 night tour for Gorillas, Golden Monkey, Chimpanzees and Wildlife Safari. Payment was secure and the agency provided the receipts confirming the pre-paid permits etc. All the arrangements were excellent and provided as agreed. My driver/guide, Justin, was very professional and knowledgeable. From picking me up at Kigali Airport to dropping off back at the airport on time for my flight home he provided top-class service. The Silverbird vehicle was a newer model SUV, very comfortable for some long drives, clean and well maintained. The Gorilla, Golden Monkey and Wildlife Safari's were exceptional. The chimpanzee trek was disorganized and not recommended, but this was the fault the National Park Community Guides and not Silverbird Tours.

Excellent first safari experience
5/5

Tom and his team were great from the moment we started organising the trip, his recommendations on how to structure the trip and camps were on point! We had an excellent trip, it was very well organised and everything ran seamlessly from the moment we landed at the airport, having an airside on-arrival greet service was a very nice touch. The Chalo team is very helpful with setting up a pre-call and answering our questions before our trip and during our trip we could always reach out to them via WhatsApp as well. As recommended by Tom, we absolutely loved our experience and service at Alex Walker Serengeti. The camp's location was also great, with limited other camps on the Alex Walker side of the river, we were often the only few jeeps around! The highlight of our trip was our guides at each camp, all very knowledgeable, good humoured and friendly.

Vihann’ s timely responses made a huge difference
4/5

Vihann was responsive and friendly, worked patiently with me as I tweaked my itinerary three times. I researched the camps myself and Vihann supported with his local knowledge so the result was very memorable and extraordinary holiday. I was very happy with local transfers, guides were available to answer questions and food was top notch.

Well planned tour with a great guide Franklin
5/5

Lulu Safaris dis a great job planning our trip. They planned around us and remained flexible and willing to revise the itinerary as needed. Franklin is a great guide who picked us up at the airport in Rwanda and stayed with us for 8 days ultimately dropping is off at the airport in Uganda for our trip home. He is a great driver who navigated with ease some of the worst traffic I have ever seen. We worried about nothing, Lulu and Franklin had it all covered. Ask for Franklin!

Amazing
5/5

I went with Makori and my group on an amazing expedition to summit Mt Kilimanjaro. He was one of the best tour guides I have had and is a very kind and special person. Even though I went on this expedition about 10 years ago I am still in contact with him. I cannot recommend him enough! I left with an unforgettable experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life largely due to how Makori led our group and guided us up and down the mountain.

About: Kenya
Experience African life
Overall rating
4/5

Kenia offers the possiblity to experience African (wild) life in many aspects. The different nature reserves present different landscapes and a variety of wild life. While travelling from one park to the other you get an impression of the culture and Kenian society.
The national museum in Nairobi is a good starting point - you can learn about the people and animals you might encounter during your visit. The climate was nice - in november it was warm and cool, some rain and much sunshine.
The tour guide and staff in the lodges where very helpful and friendly.

Amazing experience in Tanzania
5/5

I had a great 4 day safari through Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks. Both the accomodations and food were exactly as described and the two different guides we had were very nice and professional to us. We could find tons of different animals and the experience overall was amazing since the first day.

We left feeling like family.
5/5

Yusef is the absolute BEST!! We did the Materuni Waterfall hike and coffee farm tour with him. Halfway through the hike we wanted to change our tour and take our time/enjoy and didn’t want to go to the Hot Springs. He immediately agreed. He was fun, welcoming, knowledgeable, and very well respected. We still keep in touch and have recommended anyone considering Tanzania to reach out to him. We sadly booked our safari before knowing he did them or else we would’ve booked safari with him!

Classic Kilimanjaro Day Experience
5/5

This day trip is ideal for anyone curious about Mount Kilimanjaro. Our guide, Emmanuel from Safarivista Adventures, picked us up from our hotel right at 6:00 a.m. We drove through Moshi to the national park gate, where our trek began. We were a bit anxious about hiking at higher altitude, but Emmanuel reminded us to go “pole, pole” just nice and slow and to sip water often. Before long, we adjusted comfortably to the elevation.
The hike itself is moderate, and the trails are well maintained. Clean restroom facilities with running water, soap, and toilet paper appeared roughly every 90 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise! We climbed up to the Maundi crater, explored, and then made our way back down. The weather was crystal clear, giving us views of Kenya and the summit of Kilimanjaro from where we stood.
The route is stunning, with glacier-fed streams and waterfalls along the path. Most of the walk is shaded beneath the lush rainforest canopy, and spotting monkeys was a fun bonus. The round-trip trek took us about nine hours, including a lunch break. I also have to mention that Emmanuel kindly carried our backpack the entire time and treated us to a delicious lunch at the picnic tables near Mandara Hut.
Overall, it was an exceptional day hike, and I couldn’t recommend it more!
