Surreal experience
After researching a lot of other places, and being utterly confused. We landed on bonfire adventures through Eddie. Eddie was super responsive and was able to cater to our needs. He gave us exactly what we asked for, and didn’t disappoint.
Our tour guide, Abdallah, was amazing. He was super friendly, and so interactive. We felt like one big family the entire trip and he always made us feel comfortable. He went above and beyond to make sure that we had an amazing experience, and he was so knowledgeable about the culture and all the animals.
It was nice to see how all the tour guides interacted with each other, and kept each other informed on sights to see.
Definitely recommend :)

"Incredible Safari"
We had an incredible safari to Lower Zambezi National Park with Wilderness Horizon Safaris. Busiku was very helpful with planning, very responsive to all our questions when planning the trip and advised us on all the amazing activities on offer and how we could maximize our time. His communication was was great and timely.
The most memorable moments of the trip were the bush dinners, breakfast on an island, canoeing the Zambezi, game drives and the sunset cruise. We saw so much wildlife and the guides knowledge and experience of the Lower Zambezi national park was excellent, told us a lot of stories about the people and wildlife.
The whole experience was exceptional, we are 100% satisfied.
We had such a wonderful trip we are already planning our next one. I highly recommend this company to anyone!

Incredible human experience! A perfect organization for an extraordinary journey! The staff is amazing (guide, porters...) and the company (Emanuel and Damsoni) do the best possible to help you in your trip (covid test, airport transfers, accommodations, food...). If you want to go on a safari or climb the Kilimanjaro it is with Great Lake Expedition that you must leave! Go!!

We had high expectations, that were exceeded!
My experience with Bateleur Eagle was great from start to finish. I wanted a fun and interesting safari at a reasonable price. For me that means cutting out the local travel agent. Shopping on line was overwhelming because of so many choices that all look the same with widely divergent prices. Surprisingly, around a campfire here in Vermont, a friend told me of a mutual aquaintance that has a cousin in Tanzania and is a safari guide. He made some recommendations in Kenya. Those recommendations led to safari bookings that led to Bateleur Eagle. And Mathew.
Mathew and I emailed back and forth several times to nail down some details. I wanted to be picked up in Kisumu, where I was doing some volunteer work at a few local hospitals.(I'm a nurse) I was trying to avoid an unnecessary trip back to Nairobi. No problem. We booked a three night safari in the Maasai Mara split between two camps and a Land Cruiser. We were a little early for the great migration so the price might have been lower than prime time. Mathew was timely in his replies and set up a great trip for us. Including Jackson.
I'm sure the other guides are good at their jobs but we feel lucky to have gotten Jackson. He's the kind of guy that I would hang out with if he lived in Vermont. We were staying in a Catholic conference center near Kisumu that was going to be impossible to find at 0600hrs on our departure day. Our priest friend advised Jackson to come the night before. He arrived in a tricked out Toyota Land Cruiser that I wanted to bring home with me. Jackson knows his business. He put us on 22 lions, 6 cheetahs, and 4 leopards, and all the rest. At times it was like being in a nature documentary. Watching hyenas chase wart hogs. Lions stalk wart hogs. A leopard trying to ambush gazelles.
I own a large GMC plow truck and know a thing or two about getting stuck with it. To Jackson's credit we never got stuck. We went through some streams and mud holes and my son and I had our leopard spots(mud) but he always got through.
The accommodations and food were excellent. Mara Loyk has a pool which is great. You might be reading this in the course of shopping for your trip. Do not book a van! They don't have the same abilities as the land cruiser. Stop shopping and email Mathew. Ask for Jackson as your guide. They did a great job for us.

Trip of a life time!!
We had a solo trip with Great Lake Expedition with my son. They were patient and kind throughout - even with a. At times, tired, cranky 12 yer old. They made sure he submitted, even on the most difficult accent and helped him get off the mountain safely, even changing the itinerary to spend an extra night at base camp to ensure we submitted. Overall cannot imagine a better trip or a more dedicated team!!

Trip Ngorongoro Highlands to Lake Natron
Walking tour during 3 days from the Ngorongoro Highlands, Empakai Crater, through Masai land villages, along Oldonyo Lengai Volcano to lake Natron with donkey transport guided by armed ranger and the Masai warriors. Very impressive landscapes! Absolutely recommendable!

Incredible experience - best guide we've ever had!
We loved traveling with Skywide! Everything was clear, easy and very affordable. Our guide Sammy was even more enthusiastic about the wild life than us which created such good energy and he really did everything possible for us to see it all.
