My title is to explain that this experience has been farer than everything else I've lived in my entire life. Seeing a lion sleeping 1 meter from you in his habitat is one of that things that change you're life. The wildlife is simply amazing, I've been quite lucky spotting all the big five more than one time (except the leopard). Elephant and giraffes seem to love people because there are more of them on the road than in the bush. Roads are all kept in a perfect way, and also offroads for tourists cars are in a good situation. The scenery isn't so beautiful, it's mostly plane and with these bushes. In winter (season of when I was there) it's all naked and without a leaf. It's not a pleasure for the eyes, but it's perfect for spotting animals. I'm not a birder, but I can confirm to have seen loads of different type of birds, one more colorful or big than the other. Accommodations are a bit old fashioned, but comfy at the end (I've slept at Oliphant and Satara). I did gamedrives on both the sites, honestly I enjoyed more the ones at Satara, but in general the whole experience of Satara is more pleasant, mostly due to the people working in it: kindest and funniest persons ever. At Satara I've met what probably is the best spotter in the world: he spotted a chameleon, a spider and a tiny owl on trees in the sunset light while he was driving. Astonishing. We were really lucky with the weather. not a single day of rain, but a bit of fresh wind to cool down under the african sun. I'm trying to delete the memories of the food in those two camps: both restaurants were really bad, at Satara there is a pizza seller which is a bit better, but my advice is to try find something to eat in the stores. By the way all food it's not the most important part of a trip like this. The most important part are the animals and trust me when I say that i think Kruger park is the best for that, plenty of them and probably due to the high number of tourist they aren't scared by humans and seem to enjoy photos. Shell Company
2/5

I signed up with Usambara for a 5 day safari with an agreed upon itinerary and commitments for transfer from Moshi to Arusha.

After completing a Kilimanjaro trek, I was to be transferred from my hotel in Moshi to Arusha. The person picking me up was to arrive at 10am. At 10:15 I receive a call saying they cannot pick me up and I need to take the bus. I told them I would not (especially with advice from the hotel that it was not safe for my bags); I had to argue for 20 minutes to get them to agree to pay for a taxi to take me 2 hours to Arusha.

On arrival in Arusha, I met with another person who I was to pay the remaining amount owed on my safari. They tell me my itinerary is changing and that my group already left the day I arrived. I was told that it would start the following day and they had a group for me to join set up. Again I argued that I paid my deposit based upon the agreed itinerary that they had sold to me. Ultimately, they agreed to meet our agreed upon terms.

When I paid, I then realized I wasn't paying Usambara but another company. Then they said instead of staying at the hotel as expected, I would be joining the group at the campsite a night early. When I arrived, I realized I was joining yet another company.

On my last day I had to leave my group and be taxi'd to another group so I could visit another park.

It was an incredibly poor experience. I would not recommend signing up with Usambara.

Amazing Adventure...Visiting with the magnificent Mountain Gorillas....my dream come true!!!
5/5

I am a single female traveller. I had the most wonderful trip. Bella and Justine were very prompt in replying to my communications, any adjustments that i wanted to make... I wanted to trek with the Mountain Gorillas twice....these additions to the itinerary were not a problem. The accommodations were so lovely and the food, I am gluten free, was delicious. I couldn't have asked for better guides than Amanda & Moses, they were magnificent! The safari was like 3 friends travelling together.....I had the most wonderful time. I am planning my next trip to the "Pearl of Africa". I can hardly wait to revisit with the magnificent Mountain Gorillas. Amazing Amazing Amazing! Thank you Bella Africa Safaris.

Their experience gave us an excellent profile to our trip
5/5

Our contact person listened carefully to our wishes and we had a very good communication about the profile of our trip. The planning ensured that the trip fulfilled all our expectations. To be able to travel as a separate group together with friends was great and to have the same guides following us from our arrival at the airport to our departure made this into a very personalized trip. The chosen safari-lodges had an excellent standard and the national parks showed us all the animals we had dreamt about seeing. Zanzibar with its beautiful beaches and Stone Town was a great experience and especially the visit to a typical village south on the island

Great!
5/5

I booked the Mopane tour (4 days/3nights canoeing) with a friend. It was a private tour and everything was very well organised. The team is very professional, everything is perfectly orchestrated. We also particularly have appreciated their great knowledge about flora and fauna, their kindness, and the food was excellent!
A great tour, with wonderful landscapes and unforgettable sunsets.
Thank you for these wonderful moments!

Worked very hard to fulfill all my requirements.,

First rate communications. My agent ( Megan) was attentive to my requests and did her best to meet all my very demanding requirements. Everything that she arranged was excellent - I have one complaint, but it was not the fault of Discover Africa but the Tour Operator themselves.

13 day Kenya and Tanzania safari and cultural tour.
5/5

Maureen and I would like to thank you for the wonderful safari you and your colleagues at SED organized for us this past month.
Starting in Kenya at Masai Mara national park in mid September was perfect. Rhino camp was great , food delicious. Within a KM from the main gate and we travelled through a Masai village each day enroute to the gate.
We saw all the big 5 on our first day. A beautiful black Rhino appeared out of a grove of trees and meandered to another bushy area.
The park was thriving with animals and the landscape was lush.
We moved on to Tanzania on our 3rd day overnighting on Lake Victoria,” Serenity on the lake” . Wow, beautiful grounds and exceptional lodge and again delicious meals.
Next day relaxing on the lake followed by a safari on the Serengeti. Again an abundance of animals migrating south, more large herds of Zebra and Wildebeest.
We camped over night at Acacia Camp on the Serengeti, magnificent luxury tent, beautiful lounge and dinning room. We remained on the Serengeti, more incredible vistas and wildlife, overnighting at the Lobo Wildlife Lodge A must visit, gorgeous facility with a view of the Serengeti from it’s perch high on a rocky hill.
Over the next 7 days we visited Lake Natron, the Rift Valley, Manyara Park and Lodge and the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater and Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge. We just marveled at this place.
We then visited Tarangire National Park staying at the beautiful Rioka Tented Lodge. We travelled back to Kenya making one last stop at another beautiful Lodge, Amboseli Kibo Safari Lodge.
All of our accommodations were excellent, clean, friendly staff, great hosts for visitors to their country. Delicious meals and not to forget we had a picnic lunch packed for us most days. A safari picnic was unexpected however one of the highlights of our vacation.
The guides/ drivers of which we had 3, Daniel and Onesmas in Kenya and Anton in Tanzania. Knowledgeable, friendly, courteous gentlemen that were in large part the most important element of our 2 weeks in Africa.
SED”s safari package for my wife and myself was wonderful. Our accommodations, meals, transportation, cultural visits exceeded our expectations. Thanks to you we saw the great vistas and animal life of Kenya and Tanzania in comfort and safety.
I would happily recommend to anyone planning a visit to Africa to certainly contact SED for a tour package.
