Jeep got stuck several times - no compensation
2/5

We did a 3 day Safari in Masai Mara with Ancient Safaris at the beginning of September.
Our jeep already got stuck on the first day because of some mechanical problems, so we couldn't get into the park this day. Furthermore they didn't replace the jeep. Our driver promised that they repaired the jeep and that everything is ready for the next day, unfortunately we got stuck again for several times on the next day .
We spent a lot of time waiting till the car cooled down again. It was really annoying, also because nobody told us what was going on.

And we didn't get any refund or compensation.

All in all we are really disappointed. Our Safari with Ancient Safaris was definitely not worth the price and we can't recommend it!

We did a self drive through Namibia with Dunas Safaris and I must say that JP was wonderful to deal with and that I have to apologise to him, I put him through alot with changing accommodation etc, he was always very polite, helpfull, reassuring, quick to respond to any emails and was honest in his recommendations, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You and I am sorry for everything that I put you through.
Now to Sylvia, what an assett to this company, she was lovely and so pleasant to deal with. She meet with us on our first day and went through absolutely everything with us, she recommended places to eat at that she had been to and places to visit. This is a great idea, to have staff that have been to these places and have experienced all aspects of them. There should be more of it as it put our minds at ease and added to our experience.
There was only one little criticism, when 4 adults book a self drive safari you need a vehicle that can accommodate 4 big suitcases, 4 backpacks & an esky. We were luck enough to be up grade from a Rav 4 to a Toyota Fortuna. The website showed a Landcruiser, our paper work said we were going to get a Nissan Pathfinder, but when we got to the Airport there was the Rav 4. But you need no less than the Toyota Fortuna that we had, so it all turned out fine with our upgrade.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dunas to anyone and I am letting JP know that we will using them again as we plan on coming back (laugh) he is going to groan when he reads that, but he has 2 years to recover from this holiday.
Everything was top shelf, the accommodation, the service, the food, the animals (loads of them) and the experience.
A big Thank You to Dunas Safaris, it was Awesome!

Where do I start, Ute was great, we got our whole experience by default, and we loved every bit of it. First of all where we wanted to stay was fully booked so Ute suggested doing 3 Nights at Nottens Bush camp, this place was excellent, such a personalised experience, the owner socialised and ate with us, we loved this and got alot of information from this experience, our guides here were wonderful. For the second half of our stay Ute suggested 1 night at Rhino Post Lodge, with A Game Drive and 2 nights at Rhino Post Camp with one of these nights in a sleepout with us doing Walking Safaris. But for some reason I thought it was the other way round with the Game drive, I thought I didn't like walking Safaris. The Rhino Post Lodge tried everything to change it for me, but couldn't as they were totally booked. Although it turned out we had the camp all to ourselves on the first night and we were told we could do a part walk and part drive if we wanted to.
All I can say is that I loved everything about it, our walking/drive Safari was awesome. We came across some Vultures in a tree so we decided to head in that general direction, as we were going in we then saw a Hyena hanging around and we started to get excited, by this time all of our senses were on edge, we then saw this massive Lion, as soon as it saw us he took off, we did manage to see the remains of his kill.
Moe, our guide was awesome, a very knowledgeable man, very nice and respectful, what an assett to this company.
I must say I am still not a big Walking Safari fan but I absolutely love the Walking/Driving Safari that we were offered. But that is just me.
We then had a night at the Sleepout, boy was this an experience, sleeping out under the stars, actually not much sleeping was done with the Lions and Hyena calling all night and the Elephants that feeding all around us, crashing trees.
We saw loads and loads of animals and I would not hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone, we would definitely do this trip again

Panorama Tour and Kruger Park 7 days with Jaco
5/5

This was the adventure of a lifetime. Amelia (Administration Manager) was fantastic, efficient and flexible with our requests of which camps to stay at and food requirements (diabetic and gluten free).
We chose the Panorama route to experience the countryside and special natural attractions before heading to Kruger National Park.

Our wonderful guide (Jaco) was so passionate and knowledgeable from the start to end of our trip. He went the extra mile to ensure our sightings of not only the Big 5 but other animals, birds, flora and more.
We were kept busy all the time with no time wasted sitting around the camps.
Jaco also provided us with great meal conversation along with healthy, yummy and appropriate food. The braii food was very tasty each night.
When we weren't on organised open vehicle drives, Jaco took us out in his closed vehicle for further adventures.
We (Mother and Daughter) loved this experience and now have a much better awareness of the animals, their behaviours, their impact on the environment and their survival skills.
And yes we sighted the Big 5!!! and much more!!
Thank you Jaco and Amelia for a personalised tour that exceeded our expectations AND value for money. We are recommending Red Africa Safaris to all our family and friends.

"E-Trip Africa" was fabulous. Ben, the owner, was great to work with. He was so helpful in suggesting variations from the suggested plan. Milton, our driver/guide was excellent. We have traveled many times and at first were a little nervous going with a company that the only information we had to go on was that we had gathered from the I/N. Everything went so smoothly. Milton was so efficient, knowledgeable, and took such good care of us. The scenery was great, both the Chimpanzee and Gorilla treks were outstanding and all the accommodations were very good. Great choices and well researched by the company. We had plenty of good food and a never ending supply of bottled water. We were very sad to leave Milton after 7 days as during that time we felt we had made such a great new friend. Ben, the owner, even made a special trip to visit us at our hotel in Arusha, Tanzania after our tour with his company. We would highly recommend E-Trip Africa for any East Africa Travels.
