Excellent tour operator
We did a private safari tour for our honeymoon and I must say this was one of the BEST experiences ever! I could write an entire book about this experience. From the itinerary, communication, accommodation to the game drives. First, Lilian's recommendations were beyond anything we could have thought of. She was really accomodating and friendly. She made adjustments per our requests. She made you feel welcome and made you feel like you've known her for a while. She even provided tips for us well after we left the safari on our trip to different parts of Tanzania. We really appreciated that. She was very quick with replies.
Now our tour guide, Ahmed. I cannot say enough about him. He is hands down the best guide ever! He was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us an amazing time. The safari trip from beginning to end went without a single issue. He was hilarious, we had a lot of laughs and adventures. We truly lucked out when we were assigned, Ahmed. He was not only an outstanding guide with a knack for spotting wildlife but a great person that we now consider a friend. He made you feel comfortable. I truly believe Ahmed made our experience that much better and to a whole different level. We were never bored at any point of the trip. He was really accomodating to all our needs. He was proactive in finding the "rare" to spot animals. I would highly recommend him to anyone planning on going on this tour. In my opinion, your tour guide determine how well the trip goes and Ahmed made sure we had a blast. My wife and I were happy he was with us.
Let's not forget the most important thing why we went on this trip, the great migration and the wildlife. During our trip, Ahmed made sure we saw all the Big 5 and the great migration! Saw other wildlife of course. It's an incredible feeling being "up close and personal" with these animals in the wild. To see their behavior and how they are was definitely a bucket-list item. I wish we had enough time to have seen the wildebeest crossing the mara river. This is likely the next adventure on the list is to see that.

Best safari experience
From the first email communication, I knew they wanted to provide the best service for us. They provided us with many options that suited whatever budget we had and modified anything we asked for. Meshack, the tour organizer.
emailed us very promptly every time and was keen to answer all our questions.
Then we met our driver, Steve. He is just brilliant and I would highly recommend you request him as your tour guide. The loveliest, friendlies man who made sure we had such a wonderful trip every day. He is very knowledgeable about all animals and the places we visited in Kenya. He made the trip so much more interesting and fun. This really was a trip of a lifetime and the success of the trip was all down to this tour company and Steve.
The professionalism and organization of this company is fantastic and enabled us to book last minute and know that everything would be taken care of. All we needed to do was enjoy the trip with no worries at all.

Outstanding Experience From Start to Finish
What's better than excellent? That's how I would rate Mama Savana. For starters, I did a safari by myself, which is a bit different. But I'm on an extended travel adventure and didn't want to miss the opportunity. So I reached out to a number of different operators and Mama Savana quickly rose to the top. Not only did Alex answer my 8 million questions beforehand (the most patient man on the planet), but I was with two tour guides who were AMAZING. Peter took me around Kenya and Joseph took me around Tanzania. By the end, I truly consider everyone who works here my friend. This was the experience of a lifetime and I really can't say enough wonderful things about this company. As a solo woman traveler, I was totally at ease and felt very well taken care of. Every hotel/camp we stayed at was excellent and I saw every animal on my checklist...and them some! Also, I paid via wire which was simple, there were zero problems and quite honestly, easier than imagined. This is the company you want to use, you will not regret it!

Great expertise and even better service
Amazing safari trip across Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli, spending a total of 6 night and 7 days.
Marteen’s itinerary was well planned and thoughtful, delivering well above expectation of service and knowledge of safari wildlife.
He not only ensured encounters of our wildlife wish-list, but would try to revisit later on during the day to either further see the animal’s living habit or to catch the animal at a less crowded time which really enhanced the entire experience.

Amazing 8 days Safari into the wild!
We have been traveling within the northern parks of Tanzania. Serengeti and Ngorongoro are absolutely not to be missed: impressive landscapes full of wild animals. During the first day in Serengeti we could immediately spot all the Big 5!!
Tarangire is a beautiful park to be discovered, with the incredible bed of Tarangire river where lots of wild animals go to look for some water! Lake Manyara with its lions on trees and beautiful lake shore. Finally Lake Natron: stunning both the way to get there, into the territory of Masai, with their villages and cattle, the Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano and the gorgeous lake with hundreds of Flamingos!
Thanks to our great driver&guide David Simba that has been with us, taking care of any detail, spotting any kind of animal, with enormous patience every time we wanted to stop for “one more picture” (above all for any giraffe we saw;))!!! His knowledge and experience have been fundamental and sooo helpful together with his contagious smile!;)
Another big thanks to our super Chef Dula, a real “stomac engineer”!! He is a real master of cooking amazing food anywhere!! Variety and quality assured!
Finally a great thank you to Bartho who has made everything possible with his perfect organization!

Martin was an absolute Joy our entire trip, starting from the moment we submitted our inquiry, he was quick to respond with the perfect tailor made 7-day itinerary.
Thanks to Martin, by day 3 we had already seen everything anyone ever wishes to see in a safari , including the big 5 and much much much more! Martin ALWAYS went above and beyond to ensure we always had the best views and shots of the Animals. his immense knowledge of the wildlife meant he was able to time everything out perfect to get us the best views, this topped off the whole experience.
Not only was Martin the best safari guide, he went out of his way to provide us with the best service and always took the best care of us, he always ensured we were comfortable and was patient, incredibly kind and generous with us and I couldn’t ever recommend anyone else for a safari trip!

The mountain Gorilla experience in Bwindi was one of the best days of my life!!
Then on my last day there I had some time before my flight and they arranged for me to go by boat to the chimpanzee island
