A safari of a lifetime.
It was the best safari ever. My family and I had the best and unique safari with African Sunset. We could see it through when we first met our guide Haron. We saw all the animals we needed to see and the communication was clear in fact our questions were well answered. Our expectations were exceeded which made our tour a lifetime experience. Thank you so much and we hope to travel with you in the near future. Kuddos! Anybody who wants to have a lifetime experience, African Sunset Safaris is the way to go.

Amazing First Time Safari Experience!
My friend and I booked our safari with Beacon Safaris for a trip to Massai Mara. The safari service, both the owner and our guide were very professional, flexible, and ensured we were happy with all of our requests. We chose the landcruiser option vs the van, which I highly recommend given the comfort level and terrain. I also highly suggest staying inside the park so you're not spending all of your time driving to the park. We did not use the add-on option for visiting the Massai Mara b/c it was very touristy and pricey (directed by the village, not the safari tour services I believe). We were thoroughly pleased with the service, the pricing options (competitive), and the overall safari experience, as this was both of our first times going on a safari. We saw 4 of the "Big 5" animals in just a three day tour, even during rainy season and high grass. Thankfully, we had great weather, an amazing hotel inside the park, and a great guide for the three days. The guide listened to all of our requests, we went off on our own instead of following other safari tour vehicles, and he was very knowledgeable, answering all of our many questions about the animals and their behavior in the wild. Highly recommend using this service, you will be pleased!

Murchison Falls
Just a note of thanks to Kombi Tours for the experience of a lifetime!! Our small group all agree Murchison Falls was the highlight of our trip to Uganda! From the very first communication with you, to the drop off back in Entebbe from Jonathan, the trip was fantastic. We could not stop bragging to the people that joined us for the rest of our time in Uganda how wonderful our trip to Murchison Falls was and how much we loved spending time with Jonathan. Everything that was arranged through your company went as planned. We couldn't have asked for more.
Murchison Falls is beautiful, not to be missed. The falls are amazing, best game drives, a beautiful national park! Don't miss the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and stay at the Paraa Lodge. It is a beautiful property.
Jonathan could not have been nicer and more patient with a 3 chatty women in his van. Any time we wanted to stop for a restroom break or for a photo he was more than eager to accommodate us. By the second day we felt like he was part of our group, not our driver. We hated to leave him when we got back to Entebbe and couldn’t thank him and hug him enough.
We have and will continue to refer Kombi Tours to our friends!
Many thanks again to you and your staff. You contributed to making our experience in Uganda the best trip ever!

Amazing family adventure
We had an amazing family trip to Uganda in the summer of 2009. Betty and her staff went over and above to ensure we had the experiences we wanted.
From the accommodations to our incredible guide, Matthew, everything was taken care efficiently and positively.
You will have a great travel adventure if you hire Green Word Safari!

Thank you Andy. Your commitment to your clients is commendable!
Andy your attention to detail made my honeymoon memorable. Our stay at Ulusaba Rock lodge was phenomenal. On safari we saw the big five and our tour guide kept us entertained. But our highlight was sipping sundowners to magnificent sunsets at the lodge. This is truly a magical African Safari experience and I would highly recommend Ulusaba Rock lodge.
Unforgettable safari experience
Thanks to Mohamed for successfully arranging "last minute" safari.
Our Mubarak is professional, serious, and kind.
The lodges where we stayed were clean and comfortable and had amazing views.
Everything's better then expectation, we really enjoyed the safari though very short.

Great balance between adventure and relax with nice and knowledgeable people
So when i went to Uganda with my girlfriend, we had absolutely no idea about the country, what to expect or what so ever. When i got in contact via a friend with grassrootz, the communication went smoothly and they gave me enough confidence to book our holiday with them. From the moment our driver david picked us up at lake bunyonyi until he dropped us off at entebbe it was amazing. The places, safari and actually everything was well organised. We are so glad we have chosen for them!
It was from the beginning a great trip, as well because of our driver who was very nice and a great addition to our trip. Thanks grassrootz, hope to see you again
Cheers,
Lisette and daan

Amazing unforgettable experience
"Friendly & Good Value
I did the 5-day Bwindi , Queen Elizabeth trip when I landed in Uganda (and a 1-day birding tour to Mabamba very recently.
Both times Irene was very responsive to questions and helpful before I booked, and the driver/guide Ismail was friendly and flexible throughout the trip .We changed the itinerary alitle after my gorilla trek in Bwindi forest on the last 2 days which was nice to explore lake Bunyonyi island as well. The lodges where fine than I expected and would surely use them"
Expectations Exceeded
We do a great deal of traveling, but have never ventured to Africa so we were a bit apprehensive. We booked AUS' higher end, 6 day Kenya/Tanzania trip and added a day to include Lake Nakuru with a bonus of a stop at Lake Naivasha. Though we went in April (part of the wet season), we had fine weather and ample opportunity to spot every specie you can imagine. Paul, Eunice and Purity were wonderful in tailoring the tour to suit our needs and preferences were always quick to respond no how many inquiries I had submitted. The 4 lodges (Sarova Lion Hill, Sarova Mara Game Camp, Serengeti Sopa Lodge and Ngoro Ngoro Sopa Lodge) we stayed at were all lovely, each providing a unique experience whether it was monkeys on our patio in the mornings, giraffes wandering around just outside out window or the experience of a tented camp. Each lodge was also strategically chosen by AUS to keep up close to the entrance of, or well within the parks allowing for ease of access to the game drives each morning. Our 2 guides had very different styles. Kennedy, who goes by Ken (9 yrs experience), was very methodical in how we'd traverse the parks. He seemed to get a feel for our preferences immediately and just stuck to that plan the whole way through. We were truly sorry to part ways at the end of our Kenyan portion. He was absolutely wonderful. In Tanzania, we were met by our new guide, Saba (12 yrs experience). He took a very different approach. He was very well informed and often moved at his own pace which, at first, was a bit frustrating for us. But by the 2nd day, it became clear that his personal pace was a reflection of his knowledge of the landscape. He knew the specific territories of the individual animals that inhabited the park so would bypass some of the more open, empty spaces at higher speeds. However, when we asked him to slow down, he did accommodate our request. I'd suggest that he should probably lay off of the personal cell phone calls/texts a bit though. They were nearly constant. I'll share one specific story about Saba because I don't want to leave the reader with the impression that he's a lesser guide. All of the guides share information on sightings to help support their industry. The leopard is one of the hardest animals to observe. When word came over the radio that there was sighting several kilometers away, there was a mad dash by all trucks to reach that point. Saba shouted "Shortcut!" and motioned to the caravan to follow him off into the middle of the plains, seemingly in the wrong direction and no one took him up on it. We were starting to become dismayed as it felt like we were being taken away from the location for quite some time. He took a few obscure turns and minutes later, we were pulling up to the leopard sighting. We waited and he positioned us perfectly as the leopard crossed right in front our our truck. We continued to watch the leopard as it strolled off. Several minutes after the leopard had disappeared, the other trucks from the caravan finally arrived having missed it all. I would highly recommend this company. The price was fair, the accommodations were excellent, the service was wonderful and the sightings were plentiful. This was a life-long goal of mine and AUS helped me to fulfill it and then some.

Ibrahim the monster
I don't recommand meru treks at all frist of all the boss Ibrahim he's an asshole I would even say worse but I'll stay polite. It's an horrible person. We booked a 2 days safari with him for 280€ which extremely cheap, he was really nice friendly and professional at the beginning, so we were so happy to get a safari that cheap that we asked him if we could book a excursion to see the waterfalls, to do the coffee tour and to see the kilimanjaro. He said sure it's going to be 30€ more he said we'll take you from your place to the montain. We thought we were going by car obviously so we said yes . So the day after we were supposed to go at 7:30 no one came. We waited and called him he said the guide he's comming. And at 9am so 1:30 late 2 guides came and one of them was drunk and we were supposed to have only one guide. We told the drunk one to leave we went with the other one. And after 5min in car to get to the city centrer he told us that we were going to take the public transports to moshi which is at 2hours from arusha we were so angry because we paid to not take the public transports we could have done it ourselves. When we arrived in moshi we had to take another daladala to get to the mountain and we waited 1hour for the daladala to leave moshi and the guide was smoking talking to his friends so unprofessional. So basically we left at 9am to arrive at the place at 2pm. So we did the visit it was cool but the guide made us rush because he didn't want to miss the last dalala to get back to moshi so we couldn't take our time and enjoy. At the end obviously we missed the last daladala and the guide who was supposed to pay us everything didn't have enough money to pay for the motorbikes to take us to moshi so we had to pay. When we arrive in moshi we spend an hour in the street waiting for him to find money walking around the city to pay the bus to arusha, it was 8pm. Organisation 0 ! And then he finally got the money and we took the bus to Arusha and arrived at 10pm and we had the safari the day after at 7:30 am we didn't even have time to eat. My friend and I were so pissed off then we decided to complain to the boss. So we went to the office before going on safari. And ibrahim's real face appears, we talk to him very politely and he started shouting on us he got crazy he didn't even let us speak he had an answer for everything and he started saying "if you complain for that you're going to complain for the safari so don't go" we were so angry because we wanted to do the safari still but we had to complain about the day before because it was horrible. So he started to take off our bags from the car of the safari and he kept shouting waiting for us to apologise but we didn't, fortunately the driver was great and told him to let us go so we went on safari. Do you imagine 30€ for that ! And he didn't give us the money back obviously. But fortunately the driver joseph was amazing and the safari went well and we saw all the animals. So the 1 star I put is only for the safari and because at least it was cheap. But if you can avoid this company avoid it and especially Ibrahim this monster shouting on two 21 years old girls when he is the on who is wrong.
