Excellent
5/5

We decided to book our tour through Spirit of Kenya based on the manner Tiago the journey designer communicated with me. He was very prompt with his responses and always positive.
When some of the hotels of our choice weren’t available he was very quick in suggesting others and with our consent, getting them confirmed overnight.
I had a very good first impression of our tour guide Raphael, with whom we spent the next eleven days.
He was courteous, obliging, calm and always in good spirits.
He was determined to show us the big five which we did, elephants in Amboseli,Rhinos in Nakuru and lions, leopards and buffaloes in Masai Mara. He made stops whenever we wanted to admire the scenery and gave me ample time to take pictures.
Our visit to a Masai village (which was in close proximity to our camp) and getting acquainted with their culture and lifestyle was a unique experience and one of the highlights of our trip.
Honestly, as this was my first visit to Kenya I wasn’t sure what to expect or how it would turn out, but I must say that with excellent planning and service offered by Spirit of Kenya and the staff at the camps/cottages we stayed at, our trip exceeded my expectations on every level!

Never a problem
5/5

The first thing to note about our Twiga Tour in Kenya is that there was never any problem, from the time I first contacted them through the website to the time we left Nairobi happy.
Any experienced traveller will tell you that is nearly impossible but the organisation of the itinerary, payments and additional activities through Mukami was without a hitch and the implementation of the tour with our guide, George, was seamless.
Any questions - about the tours, the parks, the animals and even Kenya's history or politics! - had answers and most questions were anticipated.
According to our itinerary, our final day we were to be dropped at the airport in Nairobi to fly out but we needed to stay overnight before a very early flight the next morning but Twiga organised the hotel drop as well as a pick up to go to the airport.
The experience of the Kenyan national parks stands for itself but the excellent properties we stayed at and the guidance and assistance from Twiga ensured that this was a lovely trip even aside from the marvellous animals.
I initially booked with Twiga for our first safari tour because my sister, a travel agency operator in Australia for more than 30 years, who herself had been eight times to Kenya, said they were the best - now I've been with them, I wouldn't try anyone else!

Terrible terrible roads- ruins the experience
Overall rating
1/5

My first time visiting the park - The facilities are run down - the roads are disgusting- even the toughest 4x4 is gonna need attention after visiting etosha - I camped there and have to say its expensive - the wildlife is amazing but I definitely won't b back. Etosha is totally overated- other parks like kgalagadi or kruger national park have more to offer

About: Kenya
Great wildlife and friendly people
Overall rating
5/5

After traveling to other African countries, I found Kenya to be more friendly, safer, more comfortable, and very affordable. The wildlife viewing was also the best I've encountered. All of my accommodations were booked through Reny Safaris and they are the only operator I'll recommend to friends.
