A safari which did not meet my expectations
I had booked a 8 days tour. The whole travel was in an old minibus ,so not very comfortable.Day 5 was confirmed in the program with stay in Mara Sopa Lodge, but i was brought in AA Lodge (4stars) which is not even a 2 star place, but stay was in a cheap place: explication there had been a booking problem,day6 program would have been Mara Sopa again ,but i stayed in a cheap place again:Jambo Mara.So i had payed 2 nights for a 4 star place but got much less. The whole trip was overshadowed with the payment problem(i wrote you that already separately) ther were permanent calls :where is the money.
Seen in total the trip was more a deception then pleasure, and as i continued after this to south africa ,i just can say there its super, everything was at 100% like promised and it was just a difference like day & night

Safari and volunteerism in Tanzania
In September 2017 I left Tanzania for the second time in order to volunteer in Maasai schools and to spoil myself with a few days on Safari. This time I went alone and not as part of an organized group. It was important to me to choose a trustworthy company to aid me in combining my safari trip with my volunteer activities.
After screening a few companies, I spoke with a young safari company called Donak. This company, which specializes in Safari trips, is run by two local guys who know Tanzania like the back of their hand. The guide, Dominik, met me at the Tanzanian airport at 1:30 in the middle of the night, and from that moment on, was at my side and available to me until the hour of my departure, a month and a half later.
Dominik guided me around all of the places I visited and volunteered at, in addition to an amazing 3-day Safari in the Serengeti with outstanding tent accommodations and a day trip shopping in Arusha. For the entire duration of my trip, Dominik knew to explain, describe and answer all of my questions, and there were many, about animals, nature, plants, archaeology, history, culture, tribes – absolutely everything!
Dominik, an accredited and highly experienced man, a member of the Maasai and a real charmer. A fluent and charismatic speaker – English, French, Swahili and Maasai who knows how to accommodate himself to his clients’ needs. All I needed to do was choose the amount of time I wanted to spend in Tanzania and my budget: Donak and Dominik took care of absolutely everything for me.
Thank you so much for the best experience of my entire life!

Professional, knowledgeable and fun! Excellent choice for TZ on any budget. I'd highly recommend.
Exceeded all my expectations. Our Guide, Dominick, took great care of the entire group. We all had a wonderful time while touring the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Dom was an excellent driver, great communicator and he was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

Amazing Honeymoon!
Compass Odyssey put together and executed the most amazing trip for my wife and I this past April. I contacted Darren online about 4 months before our trip and after getting to know what we were looking for, he put together an itinerary. We tweaked it a bit over the course of a few weeks and we set to go. We set off in late March and over the course of 16 days, we visited Cape Town, Sabi Sands, Kruger National Park, Zambia, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, Botswana (Chobe and Okavango Delta) and we ended our trip with a full day in Johannesburg learning all about the history of South Africa (highly recommended).
The trip was everything that we could have asked for and more. Every thing went off without a hitch including our guides, flights, transfers, hotels, at home stays and more. We stayed at 6 different places, saw 6 countries and had 10 different flights and everything went as smooth as we could have asked for. Darren and his wife were available at all times, via email or phone and were simply great. The trip was both stunningly beautiful, relaxing, but also very educational.
I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Compass Odyssey to friends and family, or to book with them again. They were amazing and made our trip as great as we could have imagined!
Cheers!

Awesome, the best experience I've ever had!!!!
The communication was clear...everybody understood each other. The service was out of this world; nice people, went above & beyond to help. I didn't know what to expect but it was better than I ever imagined. The safari tour was better than I expected. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will recommend it to all of my friends. The tour drivers were two of the best and nicest people I have ever met. Definitely two of the best tour guides/drivers I've had. Will definitely come again and will ask for Aneal & Mohammed!!!

Excellent service
Good day, just want to take this opportunity to congratulate Solaris Tours and Safaris for a unforgettable tour and the precious memories build on our 10 day Kenyan safari holiday. The tour was professionally planned and conducted in each and every way imaginable and the fact that we will not use any other tour operator, speaks for itself.

Good organisation, careful driver, excellent guide
Robert organised the perfect Ugandan trip for our small group of three, collecting us from the guest house in Entebbe, driving us to the Engagi Safaris lodge on Lake Bunyonyi, taking us for a perfect day’s gorilla tracking, then up to Queen Elizabeth National Park. He set up a three-day trek into the Mountains of the Moon for us then took us back to Entebbe after a day of chimp tracking. Engagi is a small, family-run group – and all the better for being small.
Robert has many years of experience in the tourist sector and seemed to know the best guides and contacts in all the parks we visited. He was helpful in the planning stages and tailored the trip to our budget. He's the best kind of guide himself, not just knowledgeable and helpful but flexible, letting us adjust the itinerary to suit even when the trip was underway. He’s also a careful driver.
I don’t believe we could have had a better organised and executed trip to Uganda than we had with Robert and Engagi Safaris. Highly recommended.

Experience of a lifetime! Great tour operator, excellent value for money, good for solo travellers
Firstly, i found the price of this tour really reasonable, especially since i was travelling alone and wanted to go with a group to keep the cost down. There were only 6 people in our tour, so loads of room for everyone to see from the van. This wasn't the case for other tours we saw on the road which were packed like sardines. Everything went as expected, and we had the best game day at masai mara where we saw 4 of the big 5. Peter, the tour operator at Flash Mc Tours was lovely when my plans changed and so friendly. I ended yup stayed in much nicer accommodation than i expected on one pf the stops due to goodwill from the hotel owner, so felt like a real treat. I would highly recommend this tour as you see the best of everything.
