Great experience during my first safari
5/5

I have done a 7 days tour with my guide Joseph going through Amboseli, Nakuru, Naivasaha and Masai Mara. The tour was initially contracted with Papio but was actually operated by Baboon Budget.

Let me start by talking about travel arrangements, I was served by Tabitha who was very easy to reach and replied to all my questions quickly, she helped me with the process of changing dates given the COVID-19 circumstances.

On arrival I was received at the airport terminal by our guide Joseph who spent the entire safari with us, he is very knowledgeable and tried his best to provide us with the best picture and viewing opportunities. Our guide also explained many details of wildlife and animals behavior that helped us later with our spotting and overall enriched our Safari experience, during our Safari we were able to spot most of the animals present in the different sites with the exception of leopards. We had great rides 6/7 days as one day we tried to visit a tea factory instead of repeating Naivasaha visit but we were not able to get in, I would strongly advise you stay away from tea plantation or factory visit as you may be surprised and not let in.

In terms of accomodations we had a good experience in the camp sites and hotels, it has to be noticed that these camps and hotels are in rural areas or very small cities so the cleanliness is not great and facilities are slightly old or not very well maintained, in our case that did not stopped us from having a good rest and good meals.

The transportation was very comfortable and the van had a nice roof that can be opened for great views during safari time. I have to say that we were only 3 persons in a van for 8, so if you will be traveling in a group of 8 persons your experience will be very different and I imagine it will not be very comfortable specially during safari time as some seats in the back are not very comfortable to stay standing for long periods of time.

Overall I had a great time and would recommend you to book with Baboon Safari, I would advise for people that like to have a comfortable space to ask for options of less crowded vans as that could make a great difference.

Professional, Experienced, and Knowledgeable Staff - Could Not have Asked for A Better Tour Company!
5/5

Our family used DUMA Explorers for a Kilimanjaro climb as well as a safari trip, and could not have been in better hands! This was our first international travel experience, so I had a lot of questions and concerns! DUMA took the reins and really helped me coordinate the many legs of our trip, arranged for transport, recommended lodging, and gave me great advice on where to focus or time. This trip was a life changing event for our family, we loved every aspect of it! My daughter 21 yrs old, niece 24 yrs old, and I (51 yrs old) were the only members that climbed Kilimanjaro (yes, I was the slow one)! We had Msuri and Joseph as our mountain guides, they were excellent guides and really prepared us for what to expect and what to do (none of us had ever attempted a mountain climb, much less at this altitude). We never got altitude sickness like many others, and all three of us made it to the summit (I give full credit to Msuri & Joseph for getting me to the top)! The rest of the family joined us after our mountain climb and we did a 1 week safari with Alex. He was extremely knowledgeable, great sense of humor, spoke several languages, and we were able to see all the wildlife we were hoping to and many more we knew nothing about. What I loved most about DUMA is their involvement in the community and their commitment to the care and welfare of all their employees. They are fully committed to bringing a higher quality of life to the area, versus just selling tours.

A experience you'll never forget!
5/5

We booked the apartment in Arusha and a 2 day safari to lake manyara and tarangire. We we're welcomed by the apartment by Brian and his mom. Wonderfull apartment, clean, big, beautifull interior and all the equipment needed. The service was great as well, nothing we ask for was to much. The safari was excellent. Everything went according to plan, lunch and breakfast were taken care off, and the guide knew a lot and showed us a lot of animals and the beautifull surrounding. I would definitely recommend staajabu! Lovely people and great service, they really know what the're doing!

Exceeded my expectations!
5/5

Paul and James are some of the nicest people in the world! One trip with them and they are like life long friends in my heart. Paul can make any arrangement you want. James is knowledgeable about every tree, and animal. He is always looking for ways to make your trip the best. He helped us see a black Rhino! With only 45 left in the world, how amazing is that? Combine them with wild life that only exists in Tanzania and you will have a trip of a life time! P.S. Tanzania is open for tourism right now because there is no one sick there. Seriously if you ever wondered what it is like to be almost the only tourist in an entire country you should go now! Amazing people, wild life and country. An experience beyond words.

Perfect solution to Covid “cabin fever”
5/5

After months of quarantine we needed a break. This was the best decision we ever made. Emanuel assured us the country and in particular his company are taking the necessary precautions to provide a safe and healthy environment. The attention to sanitation was evident in the parks and accommodations. Everyone we met was gracious and welcoming. A perfect time to avoid crowds, see amazing flora and fauna and be guided by Emanuel. The attention to detail from start to finish was exceptional. Having the knowledge of his home country and sharing it with delight made our trip the most memorable of our lives.
Asante sana!

Journey of a Lifetime in Africa
5/5

Our trip to Africa with Go Touch Down Travel & Tours was everything we hoped for. Our group of 11 found the guides, accommodations, meals and excursions to all be first class and well organized. The level of customer service both before the trip and during our travels was exceptional and we felt very well taken care of. In Capetown and the surrounding area, we experienced so many wonderful things including whale watching, penguins, seals, a diamond / tanzanite factory, Robbens Island, and a tour of Langa Township. Once on safari, we were treated to many animal sightings including giraffes, zebra, ostrich, elephants, rhinos, wildebeests, lions, baboons, and hippos, just to name a few...:) We were most impressed with the extremely comfortable accommodations everywhere we stayed and the meals were always first class and plentiful. In addition, our guides both in Capetown and on Safari were knowledgeable, flexible, and a lot of fun! As a bonus, we extended our trip to spend 2 days near Victoria Falls in Zambia which was equally spectacular and well worth the additional time. Overall, we agreed that it was, indeed, a "Journey of a Lifetime" and we have hundreds of photos and wonderful memories to show for it.

Migration Ventures is second to none
5/5

We have been to many destinations and Tanzania is certainly has some of the most well conserved and beautiful places in the world. Planning our trip was easy as Amos helped with the local logistics and coordination. This was surely the best time to visit as we had the parks almost to ourselves the same case for the lodges that we stayed in. Our experience with safari guide Erasto was second to none, everything was planned well and I highly recommend everyone to visit Tanzania.

Phenomenal and Magnificent Escapade
5/5

My OH My! I do not know where to begin.

I am definitely not one of the easiest of people to deal with. I am a lady of perfection and I indeed got the best of the best from a gentleman by the name of Kelvin Mbugua. Patience is what he had on his sleeve for me. It was a last minute adventure that I wanted to the Mara with my family and he gave me an outstanding deal alongside support.

Born and Raised in Kenya- I was taking my mom for the Migration for the first time and I was not going to settle for nothing but the best. Mr. Simon (Known to my Mother) linked us up with his representative, Kelvin. - No Regrets!

His knowledge on the park and different properties amazed me not forgetting his honesty unlike others who sugarcoat deals just so as to sell the property. Emayian Luxury Camp is where he proposed for us to stay and trust me when I say this-He was not wrong at all.

Right from the beginning we set off on the right path. Once I agreed on the deal-I did not need to worry as everything else was taken care of. From the transport pick-up to the journey, arrival, accommodation, park adventures etc he was SPOT ON! Checked on us from time to time and ensured that the best was provided.

Our Driver- Mr Kenneth, was extremely polite and very well educated on the park and journey itself. He was patient and very accommodating. The vehicle itself was well maintained and It is to my word that If I am to book a trip again (Which I will do) I am taking Kenneth alongside with me.

The Camp itself was out of this world. Excellent members of staff, Clean, Great Food and Ambiance- Way to go BONFIRE. I will definitely return someday soon.

All in all- I know it is said that the "Customer is always Right" but in this case my attendee from Bonfire was always right in advise. I respect him and he is definitely the reason why my vacation and first time experience for my mom to the Mara was worthwhile.

I salute you Bonfire for having a great team on board who attract customers like myself. Additionally, I repeat-Emayian being one of your properties is definitely one of the best I have stayed in.

I highly recommend this Travel Agency especially if you are picky and you do not have the time nor patience for "Dilly Dally".

P.S Choose Kelvin to plan your trip and let Kenneth take you on that ride!

Cheers Bonfire & Much Love!
