Third Trip with Transtrek
Kenya is like a magnet and a breath of fresh air after last year's UK's virus straight-jacket. This was our seventh safari in Kenya and the third with Transtrek who are becoming a go-to brand. For this trip we opted for an extended Wilderness and Waves package focusing on Nairobi, then Parks to the south east (Amboseli, Taita Hills and Tsavo), ending at the beach at Chale Island.
All parks offer something different and this trip was a welcome revisit to the area after several years of exploring locations lying in a band from Samburu to Mara. Tsavo was much greener than when we last visited. Game viewing was very good in all parks - we saw a plethora of elephants and giraffes, one group of giraffes being unusually large at 19 or 20 strong. At Kilaguni we were treated to an elephant parade down to the waterhole; a one-tusker had probably the longest tusk we have yet seen in the wild. There was also a multitude of birds, sadly often overlooked by many travellers as there is so much beauty in creatures smaller than the big five. We started the journey with visits to the Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen’s house, and a revisit to Sheldrick’s Orphanage. These conservation centres are moving places, playing a critical role in wildlife preservation and are well worth exploring and/or supporting.
The quality of all safari camps was excellent with special mention going to Kibo and Satao where the cuisine was outstanding. These camps were new to us and we would rank them amongst the best in all our previous safaris. Rigorous precautions at all times in all camps made us feel completely comfortable regarding Covid. Also, the quality of service at all times was excellent. Kenya has always made us feel welcome.
On this trip we were guided by Peter who made it a wonderful safari. His joy and enthusiasm for creatures great and small was quite evident and infectious. As amateur photographers we really appreciated his efforts to place us in good positions for photo shoots. Daniel’s organisation, as usual, was excellent. Transtrek will certainly be in pole position for our next trip to Kenya. I have no hesitation in recommending the Company and would be delighted to see visitors returning in numbers to the Country.

I did 4 days shared tour of the northern safari, Abdullah has arranged for me to join other group with ( 7 wonders co ) which was very fun. Our guid was Robin, he is Professional & very supportive. Also willing to do extra things to make your trip more comfortable.
after the safari, I visited Dar & Zanzbiar. Both I had driver for me & were very fun & full of activities.
all the booking plans & transportation arrangement was done thur Abdullah, I only had to book my flight.

Awesome trip at masaai mara
This was my first visit to Kenya,Our drivers who still acted as our guide met us at the exit from customs at the airport and took care of everything from that moment until they dropped us and our luggage back at the airport.
They were involved in every aspect of our trip. The driver was very friendly and helpful, answering every question asked along the way and accommodating every request made. His suggestions and assistance were always correct and helpful. He quickly went from being guide and driver to friend and important member of the team.Good communication between tour operator and us was well delivered on the field during our 4 days Amboseli and Tsavo Safari. Ol tukai lodge at Amboseli and Ngulia lodge were the best option the operate suggested to us.I highly recommend the agency for their outstanding service and support during my safari in kenya.

Amazing trip & service
We are so happy of our honeymoon trip that we finally made in december 2021- january 2022. Lisa has been so flexible, kind and helpful all the way. We had to change the trip 3 times due to covid (even once just a day before the actual trip) and Lisa has always been perfect in modifying the whole trip for us and postponing it. She has advised us on great safaris, lodges and activities in Botswana and Zimbabwe. She is always available for information even during the trip. Incredible 3-day hike to Mount Meru
After already having done a 7-day safari with Suricata Safaris, we decided to do our Mount Meru hike also with them - and we were not disappointed! We had a great hike and our guide Alex and the entire team, including the chef and all porters, were very professional, calm and friendly in every situation. On our private tour, we had a lot of fun with the team and we always enjoyed a very good food, which gave us all the energy needed to master the mountain. Of course, the highlight of the trip was the summit of Mount Meru, with an incredible sunrise and an awesome view on the crater and Kilimanjaro. A big thanks to Suricata, Alex and the entire team, to make this possible!

Fabulous tour simply excellent
It was beautiful tour. We had a lot of fun. Everything was well organised. The food was good. The weather was very nice.
Masai people are pretty nice.
The driver was fantastic.

It was perfect
The safari was very good. We enjoyed it a lot. The driver was very kind, the food was delicious, the accomodation was in a Good tent on beautiful places. In the beginning i was a little bit skeptical, because it sounded too good for this price, but in the end everything worked very well. It was an incredible experience. Tanks so much for that.
