Warm group of people and very knowledgable guides
5/5

Our Kili climb with Kilimanjaro bound exceeded our every expectation. We were prepared for a very tough trip with minimal comfort but we were in for a surprise. The service that the excellent porters and guides of Kilimanjaro Bound offered was great, with excellent cooking and personal service and we summitted successfully.

A+ Service and we didn't go yet!
5/5

I seldom write reviews and have never written a review prior to receiving services. However, I must say we travel a lot and Sylvester so far has been one of the most accommodating tour operators I have ever dealt with. The reason I say that is because our group of 4 was set to travel to Nairobi for a 10 day safari last November. Due to the political unrest in Nairobi we decided to ask Sylvester if we could postpone our trip only a few weeks before we were set to go and reschedule this coming August. Not once did Sylvester complain or try to persuade us to change our mind. He assured us that it would be no problem and has never asked us for a penny more even though we are now scheduled to be there in primetime.

Thanks again Sylvester for putting up with us and handling the situation in such a professional way. We are all so excited about our upcoming trip and are very confident that our trip will be exactly what we expect, if not better. I am certain I will be reporting back with a 5 star review.

Our tour operator was personally committed to helping us retrieve personal papers lost on trip.
5/5

Our tour guide prepared personal itinerary copies for all four members of our family and thoroughly explained all details and answered any questions we had regarding the upcoming experience. He provided necessary transportation for us from airport to hotel and from hotel to airport. We felt cared for, provided for and trusted his advice and busing from restaurant to Giraffe camp in Nairobi. The connections from the airport in the bush to the camp site was punctual, safe, and enjoyable. Our safari guide was just fantastic and the safari camp was excellent. While in Zanzibar we experienced a wonderful old hotel and were served there by wonderful folks and an excellent transporter person from airport to hotel and back when we needed to leave. We will more than recommend the accommodations that we experienced. The tour guide in Zanzibar was also very personable and helpful giving lots of detailed information from his personal knowledge of having lived there his whole life.
We can't say anything but good about our whole trip Friday evening to Friday morning. All of our trip was beyond our expectations.

There are safari parks, and there is South Luangwa.
Overall rating
5/5

I have been fortunate to have been on several safaris in my lifetime; in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, and Botswana. Every experience is unique; each wildlife reserve offers something different. South Luangwa for me tops the lot: the facilities are outstanding; the wildlife is abundant, and the remoteness and sheer size of the park mean there are few others to share with. Not here do you find vehicles jockeying for position near a carnivore.

I visited with my eldest son in early August 2107, the beginning of the busy season. We wanted to a walking safari, and our tour operator recommended Remote Safaris, as they have three lodges an easy walking distance apart towards the northern part of the reserve. Although the lodges were fully booked in the peak period of September and October, they were less than 50% occupied. We stayed three nights in the main camp of before walking to … Crocodile River. We were the only occupants in the two satellite camps.

The combination of walking and vehicle game experiences meant we had many sightings, including leopard (three times from vehicle), lion, and wild dog, who passed within five metres of us when walking on our final day.

Hippos are abundant in the Luangwa river; elephants abound, and we had many sightings of zebra, giraffe, and antelopes. Every sighting even of the common herbivores gave us a different perspective, especially when walking; there is that extra feeling of adventure when you tiptoe slowly near an antelope, or freeze when elephant is close.

The scenery adds to the experience. The sublime mapone forest, with many trees devastated by elephants, contrasts with the rich vegetation around the river. According to our guide, some guests request a long walk simply to experience the feeling of isolation and peace.

The birdlife is amazing. We viewed 78 species and photographed many close up. Our guide told us much about footprints and plant life as we made our way through the bush.

South Luangwa is expensive. It is difficult to visit for overseas travellers, requiring a flight into ….and then on onward journey to your camp. But the reward is experiencing something very special: abundant wildlife in a remote location where, for the most part, you alone are the sole human participant.

About: Tanzania
Incredible opportunity to view African animals up close.

I chose a safari with Wildlands Safaris, which I selected after viewing the options available through Safari Bookings. Our safari was excellent! I couldn't believe how close we got to those amazing wild animals. The guide did everything he could to make sure we saw everything we possibly could. We couldn't have asked for better accommodation, food and service along the way. I would highly recommend this company.

It was a trip that I thought was unattainable. I could not have been more wrong. After doing some research I found a wonderful safari company. I did a mobile camping safari. Incredible game drives during the day , bush walks and dinner under the South African night sky. Imagine falling asleep to the sound of a male lion roaring in the distance or hippos snorting in the river nearby. I fell so in love with Botswana on that trip that I was booked on another safari two months after returning home. Best vacation ever!!!

It was delightful to meet Hillary and Izikio at the Kilimanjaro airport. our safari started the next day in four days we visited Ngorongoro and Serengeti parks, very we had breaks for lunch and the packed lunches were OK. but the dinners at the lodges were very good the lodges were comfortable with hot and cold water .the roads are mainly bumpy if anyone has back problem this ride going to be really painful.
the night stay in Serengeti national park was unforgettable you can hear lions roar all night ,and sunrise and sunset are amassing it is a life experience not to be missed

Absolutely amazing Safari!!
5/5

I booked my trip with Magical Destinations Safaris and Angelina and it was an absolutely amazing experience one of a kind that I will never forget.
I chose and planed a route of three national parks I wanted to go to over the 8 days. From there Angelina took care of everything else. She picked us up from the airport and made sure everything was alright during the entire trip. Our driver John was patient with us to take pictures or when we wanted a break and always on time for pickups and drop offs.He was our driver and he was excellent the whole trip, he could pick out animals from an amazing distance and tried his very hardest to make sure we had seen every animal we could during our game drives. Although there is no guarantee of what you can see during your trip we ticked every box and were even lucky to see a leopard twice and a lion kill a wildebeest.
Our selected accommodations were totally suitable for what we needed.
And it was all completed with Angelina seeing us off at the airport on our way home to get a direct feedback from us. Everything was good throughout the trip , the services from both Angelina and John was first class.
I was worried prior to going , and worried I had done the right thing booking all of this over email and the internet , transferring money from a far country was risky – but there was absolutely no issues, so if anyone is worried and wants any reassurance please feel free to drop me a message. I'd highly recommend this company for your next safari! Asante sana Angelina.

Great experience!
5/5

We just finished a 5 day safari in serengeti, ngorongoro crater and tarangire national park and it was amazing! I was with my partner and we shared a jeep with 4 other persons (1 couple and 2 solo travellers). We arranged everything via Hillary, he was super helpful and did not mind answering all our questions several times. It was very easy to communicate with him via whatsapp before, during and after the trip.
Our driver/guide Mandela was a great spotter, we got to see all the big 5 (and the ugly 5!) several times during our time there. We slept in public campings which offered basic sanitary infrastructure, ideal for young travellers. Dionis was our chef, and every meal we were surprised about how good it was. The good dinner after a full day safari was really appreciated.
The overall organization was great, since our arrival at the airport everything was smooth and taken care of for us which allowed us to enjoy every day without worrying about any detail.

Thanks again Hilary, Mandela and Dionis for an unforgettable experience!
