Outstanding experience
5/5

I traveled to Tanzania with seven of my graduate students to provide medical eyecare. At the conclusion of our work, we spent a day in the Ngorongoro Crater with Deo who delivered a once in a life time phenomenal view of the wildlife and ecosystem. The knowledge he was able to share was top flight mixed in with delightful humor. Photographic opportunities were available at every turn.

Best guide!
5/5

James is an amazing guide. He knows so much about the animals, their habits and migrations patterns. He is more of a naturalist than your average guide. He knows the names of every bird in the park and could
Point them out to us from a great distance. We came with a large group of students and he answered every one of their questions. He is funny, courteous and so knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him for your Tanzanian Safari experience. I would book him again!

About: Safarihub
Unforgettable. Not enough superlatives
5/5

Our trip went without a hitch as it did 2 years ago. We love Tanzania and it's people and it was wonderful to return. We can't wait to go back.

We travelled with Safarihub previously and because of their efficiency, personalised service, knowlege and preparatory information as well as their competitve pricing. We returned and we were not disappointed.

There was one part of our trip that we would change and that was the trip to Lake Manyara. After Selous it felt so crowded and more like being in an open zoo than on safari. It was so disappointing and we perhaps would have been better just going to Bourganvillea Lodge for a relax and a dip in the pool that afternoon.

Nice safaris!
4/5

My girlfriend and I did a three day Masai Mara and a two day Amboseli National Park tour. The safaris were great and touroperator Kenya Budget Holiday is good. We arranged everything with Edward by e-mail and were picked up in Nairobi at the right time. At first there was some misunderstanding about the payment, but we solved it right away. We would recommend Kenya Budget Holiday to other travellers.

The Ideal Safari
5/5

My brother and I spent 14 days on safari with our guide David. This was a long anticipated trip and my experience Exceeded Expectations! We visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Oldupai Gorge, the Seronara area of the Serengeti and the northern Mara River area of the Senengeti. Aside from 1 night in Arusha we stayed in tent camps 100% of the time. This decision was based on Grace's expert advise as well as our inclination. Grace guided me gently through the process of choosing camps by presenting a list of these accommodations in our chosen park and allowing me time for research. When I had narrowed the selection to 3 she presented pros and cons of each camp. Each place we chose was wonderfully unique, comfortable, friendly and allowed us to feel connected to the park and the animals 24 hours a day. She also suggested a little time on our last day to visit the Cultural Heritage Center and Shanga in Arusha, both great shopping opportunities. Overall the trip planning advise was excellent.

David was an outstanding guide who seemed to "see animals" where untrained eyes could not.
His 24 years of experience in all the Tanzania parks has earned him respect among many guides we met on our trip. We were stopped in the parks multiple times during the day to answer questions about our animal sightings and David was generous with his time and information. His easy going and friendly nature and sense of humor made him a wonderful meal companion and day long friend. We also appreciated his knowledge of the different tribal cultures, his willingness to go off the beaten path to see places most guides would not take visitors and his extensive knowledge of plants and birds. His collection of books in the Land Cruiser was a wonderful resource for pictures and scientific details about all the flora and fauna we were seeing. David took great pride in showing us a small portion of his country and teaching us Swahili words and phrases.

I am already planning another trip to different parks in Tanzania and you can be sure I will use Awaken to Africa as my outfitter.

Fantastic, well organised safari
5/5

We booked a 3 night safari with Dennis in the Maasai Mara at the end of the August. It was the most incredible trip. It was so well organised - Dennis was always very helpful and easy to get hold of. He organised our accommodation at Mara Sarova Lodge and all flights and transfers were booked for us. It was a very smooth process. We had the best guide/driver who was lovely, kind and very knowledgeable and knew where to find all the animals - ask for Samson - he is a legend! Although we just missed the migration, we saw all of the big 5 including two rhinos and leopards - so it's definitely a great time to go. I'd definitely recommend booking with Dennis, it was a fantastic trip - I can't wait to go back!

Our trip of a lifetime in Kruger Park - 4-day private tour
5/5

Last May, my husband and I and our two good friends had an amazing 4-day private tour in Kruger Park with Endless Summer Tours. We were picked-up in Jo'berg by Rhys and his colleague who had arranged for everything: transportation, food, accommodation, night and morning drives - everything. They were such great cooks! We stayed in great bungalows and saw more wildlife than we had ever hoped for. Within 30 minutes of arriving in the park, we had already seen a leopard in a tree! We also saw an amazing kill by two lionesses which Rhys predicted perfectly before it even happened. He really knows so much about animal behaviour and we learned tons during the drives. We ended-up seeing over 25 lions (with lots of cubs) in total during the trip - and of course all the big five... I only missed seeing a cheetah so I guess it's an excuse to go back. :)

Wilderness Legends provides a outstanding experience and motivates you with their inspiring mission.
5/5

For 40 years, I've guided wilderness expeditions all over the world. Occasionally I get the chance to enjoy just being a team member rather than a team leader. This, my first African experience, was one such opportunity. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, care & conviviality that our guides --Donatus, Loserian & Gido-- consistently provided throughout our 12-day adventure. In the tour business, it's understandable that guides sometimes become jaded, dealing with same litany of questions & concerns on every trip. But there was no hint of that on this superb safari. The Wilderness Legends crew fully shared our enthusiasm with every experience offered on this nicely varied itinerary. They patiently answered every question thoroughly (in excellent English) and responded with genuine interest to all of our insights & observations. We enjoyed an intriguing and enriching mix of cultural connections and wildlife encounters. The 4 reserves & 4 tribes we visited were distinctly varied and each was uniquely fascinating. The meals were ample, tasty & nutritious. The lodging varied from simple but comfortable tent camps to manicured resorts. All in all, a first-class, 5-star adventure! But it was also a very compelling experience given the concern and commitment Donatus & crew reflected about the destiny of Tanzania's cultural and wildlands heritage. In a nation buffeted by winds of change, they are clearly determined to be agents of sustainable progress rather than victims of destructive development. We witnessed and were inspired by their involvement with numerous conservation and community causes. The pride they shared about the different tribal heritages with which each of them are associated was infectious. One can only hope that their sentiments and sense of mission are shared by Tanzania's burgeoning class of young entrepreneurs. If so, the nation's destiny is in good hands. I highly recommend a Wilderness Legends Africa experience -- engaging, edifying & inspiring.

Spectacularly Customized Honeymoon Experience with Discover Africa
5/5

Discover Africa was the only tour operator I reached out to who wanted to have a Skype conversation to get to know more and my husband & my tastes and preferences. Megan Warrington was wonderful to work with - she crafted our activities and accommodations to our requests and everything went very smoothly while we were on the trip. She was very prompt at answering many of our questions leading up to the trip, and she made a few changes we wanted very easily.

The Best
5/5

Yellow Zebra is a first class agent for African safaris. We engaged YZ more than a year in advance of our safari trip to Tanzania. I found them via a Google search and then selected them after reading many reviews and speaking with an agent. As an agency, they performed superbly throughout the planning process and then in the plan/itinerary they developed. After asking a few questions, our advisor, Kirsten Woolley, developed two options to meet our budget requirements. We selected one. For over a year, she was patient answering questions and waiting for us to respond to her inquiries, candid in the opinions and information she shared and extremely helpful in all matters of planning our trip. Her follow-ups were great and quite informative. We couldn't have asked for a better agent, itinerary, and arrangements during the trip. They gave us the exact itinerary we hoped for! They provided a top notch firm, Nomad Tanzania, as the tour guide. A month before our trip, an incident occurred involving the TZ government imposing a new VAT on tours. After several discussions with the agency owner, we were able to resolve the issue to our satisfaction. They listened, were very approachable and friendly, and took care of our needs all the way through. I would highly, highly recommend this agency for your next safari.
