They delivered on all promises timely and accurately!
5/5

Matthys was our agent and he was wonderful about communicating with us. We had never done a trip like this before and we're nervous about traveling so far from home. Also my wife had major mobility issues that had to be considered. All our accommodation and travel connections were in perfect order. We truly had the experience of our lifetime!

Everything I wanted out of an African safari and more.
5/5

The three parks we visited were very different ecologically. First was Tangire where we saw elephants, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests. Next was Ngorogoro Crater where we saw hippos, lions, jackals, hyenas, and rhino. Last day was Lake Manyara where we saw groups of baboons. I recommend visiting a Massai village.

Nice budget safari
4/5

Everything was quite well organized. The worst was the food, which was quite bad. The accommodation was good and the guide ok (neither bad nor amazing).

Great tour with anoying start and ending due to bad organisation
4/5

First of all to start of, we really have to say our driver (Jackson) did his best to show us all the animals Kenya has to offer! Coming with that, the driving was a little crazy sometimes, but he always seemed to have everything under control. Nevertheless, it would have been nice, to get some inforamtion about why we are driving this fast or that the game drive is finished now.
About the accomodations: food didn't really changes over the 6 days of safari and warm water wasn't usual eighter. Still, what can you expect for this same price.
Talking about the price, what sense does it make to have to pay it cash?! We were two peple and had to carry a big pack of money in our pockets while running through half of Nairobi to get to the office... Organisation before and after the tour failed completely... more than that, the guy didn't really care about us so it was hard to trust..

But still, the price was cheap and we did enjoy the safari with all the animals and landscape

Excellent safari
5/5

This is best price budget safari I found on internet. In price are included two nights in hotel and transport from/to Kilimanjaro airport. I go on 5 days budget camping safari. Camps are basic, but cook and food are great. Our guide Hilario was very good and knowledgeable and are able to see wild animal even when we hardly see them with binoculars. Owner of this company Geofrey is very nice man, and respond to my mails very quickly.
If you look for budget safari don't look any further this is best option.

Amazing Safari Experience!
5/5

We just returned from our 6 night/7 day safari with Popote and are so happy with our experience. From the get go, Sabino made everything so effortless on our end. All we had to do was tell him what he wanted and he made it happen. We booked very last minute and he was able to accommodate us and help us get from Dar to Moshi within 24 hours. We chose the camping option and were able to tweak our itinerary slightly so that we had an extra day in Serengeti. We had our amazing guide/driver (Rashid) and chef (Morris) making sure each day was memorable and amazing. Rashid clearly loves what he does and is very knowledgeable on the animals and the different environments/landscapes that we were in. He was an amazing driver and we always felt safe with him leading the way, getting us from point A to point B. He was very dutiful and picked up on our routines and habits and made sure we always had what we needed, when we needed it. Whether it was power to charge our camera batteries, a cold bottle of water with dinner or a more flexible approach to our daily schedule instead of being on a super tight timed schedule. Rashid always made sure to never cut corners. If we were leaving a park or heading back to camp, he would make sure to take "the long way" out, as opposed to the main road, in hopes that we might stumble upon an extra animal encounter on our way out. Which we always did! Knowing that I am a photographer, he would keep an eye out for certain shots I should get and would make sure that I got a shot from all angles of each encounter, as well as made sure I was done photographing before we moved on. It's those little things that make you feel like you're really being taken care of. Our Chef Morris was amazing and he made the "camping and dining" experience so much fun. Another guy who clearly loves what he does. He was very creative with the meals, making sure one was always different (always tasty) and he made sure we had more than enough to eat! Lastly, the gear that we were provided with made our trip super comfortable and convenient. The tent was tall enough for us to stand in and provided plenty of space for 2 people. We had mattress pads and warm sleeping bags to help give us a good nights rest. Our first night we didn't have pillows, but the next morning I asked if we could get some and we had some 20 minutes later! The truck is equipped with a charging station for charging camera batteries and phones, as well as a cooler to keep your water chilled. Both of those ended up being lifesavers!!!
We learned about Popote from our friends who spent 2 years traveling the world. They used Popote for both a Kilimanjaro trek and safari and we feel so lucky that we were able to make that connection. I would definitely recommend using Popote as your guides, for whichever Tanzanian adventure you choose!

The Trip of a Lifetime!!
5/5

Words can not discribe the unbelievable Safari we had and it's all thanks to Maurice for organising a great itinerary and Jones (Muli) our Guide/Driver for not only meeting, but by far exceeding our wildest expectation of what our first African Safari would be like! We especially went in SEP to witness the great Wilderbeast migration in the Maasai Mara, and what a spectacle it was! What we did not realise was that we would see mating Lions, Cheetahs chasing and killing a Wilderbeast, a lone Waterbuffalo charging 4 Lionesses with their 12 cubs and the list goes on! Driving to several different areas and parks in Kenya was great, as they were all quite different from one another and we got to see the beautiful countryside and got more of a feel for the country and it's people. We fell in love with Africa and hope to be returning in the next few years to explore other parts and will definitely be asking Maurice to once again organise another awesome and epic adventure for us!

Very positive experience
5/5

The experience positive started before the safari since Lennox always replied to my questions quite instantly. I did the 3-day Maasai Mara. Our guide was John, who was very easygoing and informative. He did very well during the game drive trying to find the big5. The accommodation was beyond my expectations. A high point was the optional visit to a maasai village. I was picked and dropped back to the hotel. This was a really good experience, which I really recommend.

Off2Africa Travel arranged our entire visit to Victoria Falls, which went seamlessly
5/5

Off2Africa Travel provided excellent advice and options for our trip to Victoria Falls, as well as keeping us informed and advising of any potential issues we may have encountered on our visit to Zimbabwe.

We thoroughly our time at Victoria Falls. The Safari Lodge was very good, service was excellent, particularly Michele at guest services who assisted my wife with a stomach upset. George at the restaurant was also very good. Rooms were small and lacked a second chair and enough luggage storage space as we did not unpack but apart from that and some minor maintenance they were fine and there was a lot of activity at the waterhole which we overlooked which offset the other issues.

BOMA dinner was OK, however, I think we left early and may have missed some of the performance. This was due in part to my wife's stomach upset, however, also to a lack of a program being provided, and we declined a round of drinks and the waitress asking if we wanted to finalise our bill.

Flight of Angels was a very slick operation and we came off buzzing after a first time in a helicopter for one of us after sitting next to the pilot. Really a must do to get a true appreciation of the falls and geography.

Transfers were excellent, we also did a village tour which was very good and the sunset cruise which was OK, however, I think we had been spoilt be African sunsets and wildlife by then.

Off2Africa Travel provided valuable assistance for what was part of one of the best holidays we have had.
