All round a very good company. I was kept informed of what was going on and what stages we were at with booking my trip. Mostly done through WhatsApp. My driver was a proper local and a keen birdwatcher, something I didn’t know I’d get to learn about on my 12 days. Every day on safari and in the Bush were a treat as I’d constantly be getting taught something. Accommodation provided was very fair for the price I paid and the vehicle good too. It broke down, but given the condition of the roads, I wasn’t surprised.

We had a most wonderful Safari experience...they delivered above and beyond our expectations!
Wild Portraits Safari ‘fully delivered on everything they had promised us. The accommodations were excellent and the food was very good. Our two guides James Muchina and Silva Chuwa were very knowledgeable about the local culture, wildlife and had the unique ability to determine where we might see wildlife and the best time to do so. With everyone in our group being photographers getting into the Best light andbposition was critical for us. We came away from our safari completely satisfied with the sense we had found new friends.

Murchison Falls will have your mind blown away, descending into the Nile river, which with its crocs and hippos was in full splendour! The game drive through the park gives you the opportunity to view an immense variety of game but our highlight was the leopard!
I would recommend Daniel and his team for a safari at any time of the day!

My experience in Africa has been uniquely special. Travelling as a group of 4, our 12 days had been planned to maximise our perspective of the landscapes, the wildlife, and meeting first class people to guide us. Each transfer at airports from Immigration to small chartered flights was seamless. There were multiple opportunities where without Darren’s attention to detail, it may have been a challenge. Particularly the border crossing at Zimbabwe and Zambia which could have taken hours longer. It’s clear Kate and Darren’s years of experience and knowledge of Africa shine through in every organised detail. Even while “on tour” Darren was in touch with us to check we were on track. Unforgettable Honeymoon with the Best Safari Tour Guide in Kenya!
My wife and I had an amazing 7 day tour visiting Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli in Kenya with our tour guide Josh! We worked with Samuel at Tukio Safaris when making the travel arrangements and he was very prompt and professional in answering all of our questions, adjusting to our needs, and providing us guidance. It was our honeymoon, so Tukio went the extra mile ensuring we had an unforgettable time. Josh was an amazing driver and tour guide and we felt very confident with him behind the wheel. It seemed like he knew everybody at all the parks which was great since communication turned out to be key when trying to locate the animals and for support. He would drive us all around the park and then suddenly we found ourselves hanging out with giraffes, elephants, antelope, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and rhinos! We did get stuck once, but Josh and Samuel made our safety and experience their number one priority and truly made the best of a difficult situation. We would highly recommend booking with them and would do so again in the future!

Life-changing experiences
Without a doubt, this was one of the best life experiences ever! Between the almost twice daily safaris, the luxury resorts, the excellent food and service, not to mention the great companionship, one could not hope for more. I kept thinking that the next day could not possibly be as good as the present day, but was always pleasantly surprised. Our skilled guides were excellent in finding animals for viewing and never disappointed. This was true in both Kenya and Tanzania. All the guides were knowledgeable and had great senses of humor.
Susan is a great coordinator in organizing such a large trip, even with the recent floods prior to our visit. Everything ran smoothly and seamlessly. Wonderful experience all around!
