Unforgettable experience in Africa
5/5

This was the first trip we made to Africa and I must admit that it was the best moment of our holiday. African savannah has the top notch team! Communicating with them was quite smooth and they accommodated us so well. We got to have numerous games drives since we visited Serengeti,Ngorongoro,Manyara and Tarangire national parks...it was beautiful! Our guide Horace summed up the equation..he was really patient with us and so generous too, with him we got to know a lot about the many animals we saw! Unforgettable!

A perfect, seamless trip of a lifetime
5/5

I just returned from a 15 day/14 night luxury Tanzanian safari and zanzibar holiday and I cannot think of anything that could have been done differently to improve the experience. From my initial (and always prompt) emails with Pendo to the supremely knowledgeable Gilbert (our driver and tour guide who clearly has such a love/passion of showing us his beautiful country) to the luxurious accommodations to the timely airport and hotel transfers, the entire trip went smoothly without any issues. I would highly recommend Lion King Adventures without any reservations. I cannot thank them enough for the trip of a lifetime that I will never forget!

Tano Bora
5/5

I give African Challenge Safaris a highest recommendation for many reasons. Firstly, communication from the start was excellent. Kennedy promptly answered all of my questions, no matter how trivial they seemed. He arranged all accommodation that wasn't directly to do with the safari as well as the wonderful camp that I stayed in during the safari, the Mara Leisure Camp. He also arranged for Covid testing and took me to Nairobi Hospital to have it done.
The safari itself was amazing! I have never been to Kenya or the Maasai Mara. My goal for this trip was to see Tano Bora and only Tano Bora! Other animals were a bonus but Tano Bora was the focus. Johnstone, my guide, was wonderful, very knowledgeable, extremely good at finding the cats, and very patient with this cheetah-obsessed client! We also saw other beautiful animals and birds, including my favourite Secretary Bird, and only missed Tano Bora on one day of the 5 actual safari days when the cheetahs retreated into a restricted area.
The Mara Leisure Camp was wonderful! The staff members were very friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The food was amazing and the sleeping tents very comfortable and quiet. I enjoyed the Camp very much and can't wait to return!
My trip was fantastic; it was everything and more that I had hoped for! I give African Challenge Safaris a 5-star rating and hope to see everyone again when I return to the Mara next year!!

Everything was wonderful, they saw almost all the animals, spent the night before Ngorongoro in a wonderful hotel. Driver-guide Karim is above all accolades.

Fantastic safary!
5/5

It was a fantastic tour,I enjoyed (almost) every second. Isaya picked up from the hotel at 7.30am(exactly as he said),then a long ,5 hours to Mikumi ,but the minibus was very comfortable. The massai village was a very nice suprise( I was worried as it is an "artificial " entertainment, like a museum, but it was the rexl life). The accommodation was really really good, and the next day driving safary was perfect!!! Isaya and the ranger (Nova?)were perfect company,we were loughing a lot,and saw almost everything.
The walking tour to the waterfall was a bit unlucky,as my wife was poorly,so we had to turn back half way, but it was nobody's fault, just unlucky for us. The last day went back to Dar,and we were dropped at the ferry boat. Thanks for Isaya,Nova, and Pete(our driver)everything! It was a fantastic experience.

Fabulous safari!!
5/5

We really enjoyed our recent Safari with Said to tsavo east and west and amboseli. It was amazing, we saw so much wildlife such as cheetahs, leopards, lions, hippos and even a rhino. Our guide was very experience and knew exactly where to go to see the wildlife. We fully recommend king tomondo for a great safari with Said who was a absolutely fabulous guide.

If it's a Once-in-a-lifetime adventure... Gosheni does it right!
5/5

My partner and I spent 8 days on a Gosheni Safari, and as well travelled as we are, we have both put this last week up there at the top of our favorite holiday list. Having discovered I had more time off than I expected over the Christmas holidays, we decided travel further afield than we were originally planning. We started looking at a safari in Tanzania and reached out to a few companies based on their reviews. Peter, the owner of Gosheni, was very quick with responding to communication and pulled together an 8-day safari itinerary that we booked only one week out.

Upon arrival we were blown away by the professionalism and organization of this company. We were greeted at the airport by Peter himself, then we in the hands of our new best friend... our guide Ombeni.

For the last week, it has been just Ombeni, my partner and I in a super comfortable, and super spacious Landcruiser as we explored the Tarangiri and Serengeti National Parks and the Ngorogoro Crater. Ombeni astounds me every day with his eagle eyesight ... pointing out things like leopards lounging in trees and lions poking their heads up from the grass that I never would have seen myself because they are so camouflaged. We have seen EVERYTHING and my photos look like I'm a professional National Geographic Photographer from just a compact DSLR camera. From cheetahs running, to lions mating, to baby cubs in a pride, to the migration of the zebra and wilderbeast. It really does feel like the opening scene to "The Lion King" as cheesy as that sounds.

A huge part of our enjoyment was that our guide, Ombeni, was so knowledgeable and became like a brother throughout the trip. His sense of humor, big smile and contagious laughter made us feel so welcomed and right at home from the start.

As far as value for money... Gosheni Safaris has got to be the best out there. The accommodation at each camp was outstanding, the vehicles were all brand new with the pop top that makes for a comfortable ride and brilliant viewing while staying shaded all day, and did I mention WiFi on board??? Oh, and while I'm drinking a glass of wine at lunch over a delicious 3 course meal while the other companies hand out a brown lunch box with a sandwich... we got lots of jealous stares from other safari groups. Lol.

We had opted for the mid-luxury package and were blown away at every overnight stop at just how "luxury" it was. The camps are magnificent and was Glamping at its finest!! I mean, when you have a full en-suite bathroom with a fancy bathtub inside your tent (that's larger than my one back home), you just never want to leave!!

This safari is certainly going down in my books as an adventure of a lifetime and it's all thanks to Ombeni and Gosheni Safari's.

Crazy trip which was beyond my expectations.

We booked a 3 day/2night Safari covering Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater with Trip Quest Safaris and it was awesome! We saw the big 5 and our guide Eli were super friendly and helpful. Food and accommodation which was chosen from Martin was amazing, They were also very clean and was having spectacular view. We recommend them big time.
