fantastic service
5/5

Penbury Tours and especially Susan was highly recommended. This was grossly understated!.
Our last minute reservation, choice of camp and air bookings were totally dealt with in a professional manner.
The safari chosen was well suited to our needs.
We would recommend Susan and the team without reservation.

Comprehensive service, fantastic experience
5/5

Outlook provides a comprehensive service and the safari I went on in Kruger was a fantastic, memorable experience. They are easy to deal with and the booking process is simple.

I booked the 4 day classic safari, based in the Skukuza Restcamp. I went in August and on the game drives I had close up views of elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, kudu, impalas, wildebeest, rhinos, hippopotamuses, buffaloes, spotted hyena, vervet monkeys, baboons and other grazing animals – there was plenty of wildlife in the Skukuza area.

One of the issues to decide before booking is how long to go for - I saw white rhinos, buffaloes and a spotted hyena close up for the first time on the last day so if you’ve got the time available I’d say 4 days is about right.

I included the Panorama Route and that was a worthwhile swap for one of the game drives.

The Outlook base camp in Skukuza has a high turnover as guests join and depart and they manage that part of their operation really well.

I have lived the dream!
5/5

My life time of expectations of the canoe trip from ‎Chirundu to Mana Pools with my son were blown out of the water by our Natureways Tamarind Safari. 'The Dream Team' of Norman and Takesure‎ (TK) and the rest of the Natureways team made our experience unforgettable and no doubt unbeatable.

Norman and TK's ‎knowledge and passion in regards to the "Great Zambezi" and Flora and Fauna developed from a young age, learning from their fathers who had been rangers at Mana Pools, was infectious. It did not stop there, TK's culinary skills were incredible and I will never forget gazing up at the brilliant night sky whilst sipping the fine SA wine provided with our meals as TK talked us through constellations‎ and the history of the incredible Zimbabwean people.

In Norman and TK's hands we felt safe every minute of the way as we enjoyed an accelerated course in paddling, stearing clear of Hippos, staying on beautiful islands, amazing sunrises and sunsets, watching and listening to the sounds of wildlife. Our nights were spent on islands with nobody else around. We slept in open dome tents with the stars as our backdrop and the noise of the wild, including two Lion and a Hyena visiting our campsite as we lay rigid. This is Africa
in the raw, well out of the normal comfort zone and thrilling. During the day we would stop for regular breaks and have a lunchtime siesta to avoid the heat.

The distance covered by this safari is 75 km allowing time take in the peace and tranquillity of the truly untouched African wilderness ending in Mana Pools National Park, which is a World Heritage Site. The remarkable bird and game life (everything here but Giraffe and, sadly Rhino) seen on this section of the Zambezi is superb as the flood plains offer wildlife an extraordinary sanctuary. Bizarrely, Zimbabwe has just granted a prospecting and exploration licence to mine for heavy mineral sand deposits here.

I have done a few walking and vehicle safaris -they just can't compare to a safari on a canoe. It was an exciting and adventurous trip of a life time which I ‎would recommend to anybody. Norman and TK are really great guides and people and my son and I enjoyed and were privileged to share the time with them, it was wonderful.

A wonderfully natural safari experience
Overall rating
5/5

We stayed for 4 nights at Azura Selous and had the most incredible time. Selous itself is a vast reserve, so we were fully appreciative of the fact that it may take longer to discover animals and they may be a bit more 'jumpy' around the 4x4's than in other parks - the upside to this is the fact that the whole safari just felt a lot more natural, when we did discover animals (and there are still a lot of wildlife about) it was great to hardly have any other vehicles around (often none at all) and there was a greater buzz when you did find them.

The accommodation (Azura) was fantastic, and we genuinely could not fault any aspect of it. The food, especially considering the remote location, was absolutely incredible.

I would not hesitate to come back here at the earliest opportunity, and I do wonder if we did choose a different park/reserve just whether it would feel as good - or if in fact it might have a slight zoo feel to it in comparison.

If I had to pick one minor irritation it would be the pockets of Tsetse fly about - although appreciate there isn't an easy solution to this and to be perfectly honest it isn't the end of the world as you do get used to it - plus there was always a can of insect spray to hand in the vehicles if needed.

Fantastic Honeymoon Safari
5/5

We had such a great experience with Zohar Safari, we sincerely recommend it!!!
Lillian was very prompt via email right from the beginning, before booking and she just kept being present before, during and after our trip and everything was very smooth!!
My husband and I have just come back from this trip of a lifetime and we have so many memories!
We booked a private safari, just the 2 of us and visited Tarangire, the central part of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. In between these wonderful parks, we also visited the Mtonga tribe (prbably incorrect spelling, but it means Mosquito River in swaili), the Hadzabe tribe and the Datoga tribe.
CAR: Large 4x4 Toyota Landcruiser almost new, comfortable, with pop up roof.
PARKS: Amazing!!! I really had no idea... Tarangire has so many elephant and at this time of the year so many baby Elephants! The Serengeti is just incredible, the land is so flat that you can spot animals from so far away, the amount of lions and leopards we saw was incredible! The Ngorongoro is surreal, you are surrounded 360 degrees from the rim of the crater and on the inside you have Savannah and forest and then you can see animals so easily!!!
GUIDE: Our guide was Godfrey, such a gracious guy. His English is very good and he is very knowledgeble about the animals (for example, why is the secretary bird is called secretary?), their hang outs spot (we saw so many lions and we were the only vehicle there!!!!) and beside that, we have been taking about tribes, politics, poaching, about everything. He was very plesant to be with and he took a great care of us, always making sure that we were safe and enjoyed our time.
HIGHLIGHTS: Believe or not we had two 6 months old Lion cubs laying under our car for shade... These 2 little ones were amazing, this happen in Ngorongoro!!In the serengeti, we saw a mama lion with 3 cubs, very close to us, over some stacked rocks, we saw a Cheeta that had just killed a gazzelle and was dragging it to find a safe place to eat, we saw a leopard with cub just by our car, we saw a male baboon chasing away a leopard, a jackal biting a lion and on top of all.... an heard of elephant that charged a pride of 18 lions that were feeding in front of them and have them cornered.... You understand we were shocked!!!!!
At any rate beside these strong emotions with these animals, we had the chance of seeing the tribes I mention above which I honestly think it has been a very enriching experience! Our guides to visit those tribes (Jumma and Musa) where great as well. The cultural visit to the tribes was something we had not thought of doing, and now we are so happy we did.
Tanzania is beautiful and we are planning our next trip back obviously with Zohar Safari

Memorable!!!!!
5/5

My wife and I spent 14 days in a mobile safari around Botswana with Afrika Ecco Safari (CKGR, Okavango Delta, Moremi, Savuti, Chobe).
Afrika Ecco Safari is a tour operator based in Maun, specialized in Delta tours; most of our guides were born in the village of Xaxabe in the middle of the Delta.
The camps were managed by the chief guide (and driver) Baker who is an excellent advisor of animals and who explained us a lot of things about animals, environment, etc.
Our tent was enough large for two persons with private shower and toilet in the back. Camp assistant took care of us and chef cooked delicious (and very rich) lunches and dinners (every days a different 3 courses menu - starter, main course, dessert).
Tea and coffee were available any time during the day. They also arranged for us amazing sunset appetizers in the delta and in the parks.
We enjoyed so much the mobile safari and we thank Afrika Ecco for having managed a memorable tour!!!!
Definitively we recommend Afrika Ecco for any type of activity in Botswana.

Wonderful Safari Adventure
5/5

Red Africa Safaris were fantastic from start to finish. The staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that the experience was tailored to our needs and was best value for money. Our guide (Jaco) was professional, extremely knowledgeable and friendly; his passion for conservation and pride in sharing the beauty of his country was truly touching. The accommodation and catering at the private reserve were excellent. We were very grateful to the ranger at the reserve and Jaco for the insights we gained into the issues and challenges of local conservation. Thank you! A safari trip with Red Africa is highly recommended.

Amazing big 5 experience in Masai Mara
5/5

From the very first contact with Christine, the service from Waymark was great. We were picked up right on time by Richard, who maintained his friendly, punctual self the whole trip. With Julius, the Masai guide, he made an effort to ensure that during our safari we saw everything we wanted to. Nice to see that they themselves were still touched by the amazing scenes we saw. As experienced travellers, we had our fair share of guides, Richard and Julius are off the class that we would not mind (to say the least) to travel with again. Thank you for an amazing experience seeing all the big 5 plus some bonuses!
