A great well organized and managed safari
Mwema organized a nine day safari in Kenya and Tanzania. Various lakes and game reserves. The driver/guides were extremely well informed, very responsible and courteous. They took us to the exact places where the wild animals were, including all the big five, and a lion kill etc.We are totally satisfied with them. The camps are surprisingly very modern and guarded by Masai quite safe. In one camp I had a hippo walking one meter near my head in the night. Non-vegetarian food was very good, vegetarian could be better. All in all an absolutely wonderful experience.

Brilliant
I would like to thank Casper from Safari.com for all his help in organising our safari with very short notice. He answered all our emails promptly and followed up on all our requests.
Casper managed to meet all of our expectations including meeting our budget.
Arthusa Safari Lodge in Sabi Sands was absolutely amazing along with all the staff. We saw all of the Big 5 time and time again. Would highly recommend this lodge and wished we could have stayed longer.
Kapama Buffalo Camp was also spectacular with very helpful staff. We did not get to see all of the Big 5 but the sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebra, lions were plentiful. The other plus is that it is across the road from the airport so a good place to stay a couple of nights before flying out.
All our transfers were through Sable Tours. The staff were amazing on both occasions, both were full of information and knowledge about the animals and the surrounding areas and were happy to stop for pictures.
I have no hesitation what so ever in recommending Casper of Safari.com and we will be booking through Casper again.

Great tour guide in Arusha, Tanzania
I was looking for a safari agency in Tanzania. I found Leken Adventure and booked 3 days Tanzania safari tour from them. It was my first time in Africa. It was a fantastic and very interesting country. I would definitely like to come back again in future. The tour guide was very helpful during the trip and helped me to explain all the things there.

Galloping Safaris delivered a superb holiday, and the expectations raised by reviews here were met.
We were looking to book direct with a local owner operator, our spend benefiting Tanzanians and not many middlemen. We found Galloping Safaris to be a reliable and trustworthy company. Our Tanzanian Chic Safari and Zanzibar Retreat was really quite brilliant. The owner, Walter, was responsive to our enquiry, and adapted a trip to suit our requirements. Our driver and guide, Lawrence was excellent, and was on point for the whole trip. He quickly understood our needs, and was able to tweak our daily activities for the better. The accommodation was luxurious, glamping at Nimali Tarangire (my favourite), Kubu Kubu at Seronera in the Serengeti, and Chaka Camp at Ndutu. We also stayed at Lake Duluti Lodge Arusha on arrival, Neptune Ngorongoro Lodge, and Breezes in Zanzibar. At each place, the food was delicious, and for the more remote small camps, quite amazing that they were able to do this, with a special mention of the baking skills.
Lawrence was able to find all the animals, though he sweated on Cheetahs until the 2nd last day. The sheer number of animals is amazing, even though you are expecting to see them. I have been to many National Parks in Central and Southern Africa, and for animals, this is the best place to see them that I have visited. Lawrence was able to spot animals well, at the same time avoiding getting us bogged in the Serengeti and Ndutu mud.
If there would be room for improvement, it would have been nice for Walter, the owner to have spoken to us during the trip, as there was opportunity, though no need as such from our part. We also had issues with our bank transfer, which was not received and eventually reversed. Subsequently paid by credit card, with surcharge. Bring on ripple and other non bank payment methods!
In terms of the enquiry procedure and credit card payments, these are handled through the Safari Bookings platform, and I found it a reliable way of transacting.
Go for it!

The park is beautiful and defenetely worth visiting
There are different sections of the park, the northern part near Kasane is easily accessible (many local tour operators in Kasane would bring you inside for the day) and it has a beautiful road going along the Chobe river which is splendid and rich in wildlife and birds. There are different lodges with camping ground, but ihaha campsite is the best camping spot. Very reccomended is the sunset boat cruise on the Chobe river. The area overall is a bit touristy though, especially during the dry (high tourist) season. In April it was quiet, with not many cars around. Oddly, it was also difficult to spot elephants (Chobe is full of elephants) as most of the herds had migrated south after the heavy rains. The south-western areas of Linyanti and Savuti are just spectacular and out of reach from the day trips starting from the northern part. This area is full of wildlife and wild scenaries and it is more for people prepared of going camping out in the wild (campsites in Chobe are not fenced), which is the best experience for me. Beware, everywhere in the park you need a good 4x4 veichle as roads can be on deep sand. Also, if you self-drive, make sure you have a good map. Enjoy!

Review about Tarangire National Park by Davide Silva
We saw an amazing range of wildlife in a relatively short amount of time. Having had only 1 day in the park on our first day of the trip, it was fantastic to imediately see so many elephant herds (coming right through the roads and next to the cars!!), zebras, giraffes, warthogs... even the dung beetles! Absolutely stunning landscape.

Review about Serengeti National Park by Davide Silva
The scenery in Serengeti is breathtaking, it was beyond our wildest expectations, and we think about it everyday even now! What surprised us most was how green everything is in December, and how much wildlife there is everywhere, including the great migration (it is overwhelming).
We would come back every year if we could.

Review about Ngorongoro Crater by Davide Silva
Fantastic animal diversity is such a relatively short space, it offers a wide range (zebras, buffalo, lions, hipos, rhino (we were lucky to see one!),…
The crater is a magical place with beautiful landscape in what appears to be a travel through time, unforgettable.

Unforgettable
We had a 7 day safari to Tanzania (Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti), followed by 5 days in Zanzibar. We chose a local company - World Air Travel and Tours - and could not be happier with our choice. From the start we had their support to our planning questions, helping us tailoring our trip with very timely, open and honest information which was fantastic. From day 1 upon arrival until our return we had full support in a seamless journey.
Our driver for the safari was Jon - an amazing knowledgeable guide, driver, and ultimately friend - he went out of his way to make the journey fantastic for us, and we were lucky to see the Big 5 but also a number of other nice surprises which made it all the more extraordinary. We have only the best to say about Jon, World Air Travel and Tours and their manager Elias - these guys do an outstanding job of promoting Tanzania and helped making this the best holiday we ever had!!
We definitely recommend visiting Tanzania and we certainly hope to return to this magical land which has stayed in our hearts and minds since.

Incredible guide, wonderful food, out-of-this-world experience
My wife and I visited Tanzania for the first week of 2018, and we could not have found a better way to see Tanzania than with Duma Explorer. The owners were very accommodating and helped us with our itinerary, even as our plans changed somewhat close to our arrival date, and provided us with an amazing opportunity to visit four of the parks/conservation areas in northern Tanzania. From Arusha we visited Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Oldupai gorge, Serengeti, and Tarangire, all in five days filled with animals. One special highlight was seeing a mother leopard and her cub playing on a fallen branch, very near the road.
Our trip would not have been nearly as memorable without our guide, Alex. I am a professional archaeologist in the US and as a result I have known a lot of guides, scientists, and rangers, but I have never once met someone as accomplished as Alex. His eye for animals was the most impressive skill I've ever seen in anyone working in the wilderness. He could spot and identify things a mile away, even if they were as small as a jackal or a mongoose or a bird. But what was even more incredible was his alertness, no matter the time of day or the conditions. Not only was his skill unparalleled in my experience, but he never missed a beat over the course of five days of game drives. It was truly a privilege to ride with him, and without his expertise we would never have had the experience that we did. On top of all of that, he was very interesting, and great to talk with on the game drives and at the end of every day.
We cannot recommend Duma Explorer, and Alex, highly enough. We count ourselves incredibly lucky to have had the safari that we did, and it was all thanks to them.
