Great guide, helpful company, personalized itinerary... Highly recommend!
5/5

SAE was nothing but helpful while I was in the planning stages of my trip. I had a very vague idea of what I'd like to do and the team directed me into a week full of amazing adventure. They took on board what I was looking for out of my trip, my style with regard to accommodation and provided a service I would use again in a heart beat. My guide, Xavier, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure my week met (and surpassed) my expectations. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and generally a great guy.
I will use them again as and when I can return to Africa, I genuinely cant recommend them enough. Thanks so much for everything!

Great experience of Uganda with an amazing driver
4/5

The pre-Safari communication with Simba was okay. We just expected a more active approach from Simba to send us guidelines and practical information since it was our first Safari. However we didn't receive such a practical info automatically. We had to send every time our questions to get answers. So a suggestion would be sending a standard practical info file to tourists so that they can organize their trips properly.

Our best part of our Safari service was our driver. Xavier was a great driver and guide. He was very punctual, responsible and expert in his job. We had an amazing experience of Safari with him, he took us everywhere and explained everything to us. Meanwhile we also had many interesting talks during the long Safari driving with him. We were very happy having him as our guide and I strongly recommend him.

The lodges booed by Simba were very nice too. My two favorite ones were gorilla mist and Forest camp. Gorilla mist was an incredible experience. The last lodge at lake bunanoyei, however, was not very proper. It was not very clean and comfortable.

In general we had a good experience with Simba and we are happy with our experience :)

Went to Masai Mara and Lake Naivash
5/5

I have experiences traveling all over the world from Japan. Still this is my first trip to Africa. That is Savannah Sound Safaris' trip to Kenya. First of all, I was very impressed about our guide Danson's delicate attentions to us. For example, advices for proper hydration, bathroom breaks, introducing souvenir shops. Although it is inconspicuous, in reality, the basic matters that would support the journey are carefully considered, and it was all perfect. Also I was impressed by his driving skill. There are not paved inside the wildlife reserve so it is bad rough road depending on the location. Even on the rough roads, he has specialty in the driving techniques to surely and safely. Thanks to his hospitality, I was able to fully enjoy every day without any concern.

We went to Masai Mara Game Reserve and Lake Naivasha in safari tour. In December we visited, many of gnus and zebras had moved to Tanzania, but still we could meet enough wildlife. According to guide Danson, it is difficult to find other animals in summer peak season because there are too many gnus and zebras. In fact, we could see the Big 5, as well as impalas, gazelles, warts, mongooses and tumblebugs so closely.

Even if there are many animals, the place where we can see them is not fixed. It is not a zoo in the city, you know. So, you have to go across the reserve widely. But it’s not smart to move blindly. You have to move and head to the point based on the information of the previous day, also the weather on the day or the situation. Danson accomplishes such supernatural work without any difficulty. A guide is not just a guide clerk, I think that it is an IP expert and also a creator.

My first Kenya. I had mixed feelings of expectations and anxiety before going out, but now only big satisfaction remains in my mind by encountering a wonderful guide, I would like to meet wild animals again with Savannah Sound Safaris next time.

Thank you very much.

Amazing experience, very professional!
5/5

We went on a 4 day safari with Lion King Adventures between Christmas and New Year 2017. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic and the treatment from Lion King was very professional. All communication via e-mail before the safari was very smooth and made sure we had a full overview of the trip. Our guide Saleh was very nice and competent. Saleh picked us up at the airport and then followed us during all four days during the safari until we were dropped off at the airport again, which made us feel very safe all the time. Me and my partner went alone in a spacious car together with our guide. The price of safari included all accommodation with food, also food and drinks during the safari was included. All accommodation was very high class.
We recommend Lion King Adventures and our guide Saleh strongly!

Professional guide and a pleasant experience!
5/5

I was going on a gorilla safari with my friend and this was going to be the first ever safari for the both of us. Luckily, the communication with the office was super easy and we got answers to all of the questions we needed. The driver / guide (Sam) was very professional and funny and made our time very pleasant. Also, he had a proper knowledge of the local area close to the Mgahinga national park and he promptly spoke some 7 languages which we thought was super positive.

The safari was surely the highlight of out East African trip!

Not anything negative to say!
5/5

At least 120 safari operators are active from Arusha or Moshi in Northern Tanzania. Thus, the choices are ample and difficult. When we decided to go on safari, we chose to make a 2-week safari while we were already in Europe, in order to avoid additional jet lag. We contacted Makasa at the advice of friends, and are very happy we did. They responded rapidly, were open to specific wishes (e.g., visit to the Oldupai gorge), and suggested the best game opportunities for our January trip.
While the Northern Great Migration in August to October is far more popular, our stay in Europe during the winter months made the Southern migration more feasible. Makasa suggested that we also visit the Lake Ndutu area in the southern Serengeti.
Following a couple of days in the Kilimanjaro and Maasai areas closer to Moshi, we travelled to Tarangire National Park (NP) and saw many adult and baby elephants, in addition to Cape buffaloes, gnoes (wildebeests), and various antelopes. We stayed in a tented lodge close to the park and were visited in the evening by 3 elephants which were grazing about 20 meters from our tent. Next stop was Lake Marynara NP to watch flamingos, and even some tree-climbing lions. In the Lake Ndutu area off-roading was allowed, and we came very close to lions and cheetahs. The numbers of gnoes and zebras traveling south were innumerable.
Next stop was Serengeti NP, where we again saw many lions, cheetahs, and even 3 leopards. Here we also stayed in a tented camp, which was convenient, had excellent food, and even hot showers and internet access. The last stop was Ngorongoro Crater. This World Heritage Site is very peaceful, beautiful, and we saw 4 rhinos, although from a great distance.
Makasa had organized everything splendidly, and it all went off without a hitch. Our guide/driver Jamal was not only very nice, but he had vision like a hawk, encyclopedic knowledge of the local fauna and flora, and the instinct to predict where animals were going. His English was impeccable, although his Swahili hard for us to understand. We had not a single negative experience and saw far more than on a safari to Kruger Park ten years earlier. The Great Migration was awesome to watch, and we saw every single one of the Big Five (Lol, how silly to find that important!). The best part for us was the stay at Lake Ndutu, where we saw lions, cheetahs, and hyenas from less than 20 meters. It was amazing that the animals completely ignored the Jeep.
We are very happy to recommend Makasa to travelers from Europe and also from North America. They are competitive, responsive, and will provide you with an unforgettable safari.

MUST DO
5/5

Booking through Lovely Safari is easy and quick, we had a one night safari in Mikumi and it was awesome. Friends recomended Joseph to us and it was worth it. He is a set guide and a real nature lover.
We found the price cheap compare to the average.

Great experience at a good price
5/5

Ilya responded promptly to our enquiry, and a few emails later put a schedule that fit our dates and budget.
Karim, our guide was excellent - a font of knowledge about the country, the Parks, the animals, culture and all sorts of other interesting stuff. He was professional, caring and courteous at all times.
The accommodation booked was great and fit our budget.
The parks and the safari were fascinating; a window to Africa. The mountain gorillas in Bwindi were the highlight of our visit and highly recommended in spite the high permit cost.
Thank you to the team for an unforgettable trip!
