The Best Gorilla Trekking Experience
5/5

Together in a group of three, we booked a gorilla trek to the gorillas in Volcanoes National Park with Go Gorilla Trekking. We decided to take a 5 Days PNV Gorillas + Nyungwe Chimps and Michael was good at responding at all our emails. Baker, our guide picked us up from Kigali, Rwanda and led us on a Kigali City tour before we took on the scenic ride to Musanze, Volcanoes National Park. The trek was great and we met the gorillas within just a few hours of trekking. After the trek, we visited the twin lakes and we got to see the neighbouring local communities. The next day we tranfered to Nyungwe Forest having several stopovers! I can say that Baker is the best guide given the different points where we made stopovers that were not even included in the itinerary! We are now looking at visiting Uganda to track the endangered gorillas in Bwindi Forest, another place on our bucketlist.

Best Trip Ever
5/5

Benson Tours is the way to go. He responded promptly to my many emails, customized a package that fit my schedule and budget, and was an all around pleasure to work with. The hotels we stayed in were even nicer than anticipated and our guide, Frances, was a perfect fit for me and my travel and companion.
I found both Benson and Frances to be knowledgeable, professional and a lot of fun.

Best holiday ever, everything perfect organized
5/5

For many years I have been saving money for my dream of going to Africa. And this summer my dream came true! Thank you, Makasa, for making this the best holiday ever, a fantastic experience we will never forget. I don’t have enough words to describe how incredible an awesome our journey was.

We started in Olpopongi, very interesting to see how the Maasais are living and learn about their life and culture. When we arrived, they sang a welcome-song! I am so grateful for being introduced to these friendly people.

Our first safari-day was in beautiful Lake Manyara, and the first we met, were elephants! I love elephants, this was the moment of my life! The next days were in Serengeti, then Ngorongoro. We are very happy and pleased with all the accommodations. Endoro Lodge was especially luxurious, but all the lodges and tented camps were really nice. And the food! Excellent! Everywhere! And the lunch-boxes! So good! Dinner was especially nice in Kenzan tented camp, where they lit a fire, and placed the tables outside by the fire. Dinner under the star-lit African sky. So beautiful and magic.

The safari was amazing, seeing all these wild animals in close range, in their natural habitat. We have taken hundreds of photos, and I have written diary every day, so the memories will stay forever. Thanks to Makasa for the little gift; the note-books and pens! Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongora was all truly amazing! But if I knew how cold it would get, I would have brought warmer clothes. But we had a blanket, nice for early morning drives, so it was no problem.

Our driver, Kaleby (I called him Kaleb the whole time, sorry), was fantastic. He was so full of knowledge, knew everything! And kind, helpful and always in a good mood. I feel so lucky, we must have had the very best driver/guide.

Zanzibar was a paradise, a peaceful place to enjoy the sun and sea! Kilima Kidogo was really nice, good food and friendly staff. And a pool-table, the boys used that a lot! The teenagers were completely satisfied with everything, they have also had an experience of a life-time. Kilima Kidogo was resting, a life in slow-motion with no shoes or make-up for a week. Lovely.

We are very, very pleased with all of Makasa’s arrangements. Selma and Yohannes Ngomi met us at Kilimanjaro Lodge, and made sure that the lost suitcase was delivered along the route the next day. I like the concepts of Kilimanjaro Lodge (Mama Clementina Foundation) and Rhotia Valley, were tourist and tour-operators can help local projects by using the lodges.

Everything was just great. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Nothing could have been better. We are so damned lucky living in Norway, never have to worry about having enough food. Or water. We send our children to school without thinking about it, and never giving one thought to those who not are able to the same. I know we are privileged, but this was a good reminder about how lucky we are, and that we have a duty to help the ones that are less fortunate. It is useful for the whole family, especially the kids, to see with their own eyes the big difference between the Tanzanian life and the Norwegian.

Thank you so much! We are very pleased with Makasa, and will recommend you to everyone.

Kilimanjaro 6 days
5/5

We had an amazing time on the Kilimanjaro trip. Ilmaasai were very friendly and professional from the start. Best price we could find in Arusha and no pressure selling. They helped to hire the right equipment for the climb. The entire team who helped us up the mountain were amazing, very attentive and the guides were fantastic, very patient and encouraging. I would definitely recommend this company for booking any excursions.

An indescribable experience
5/5

We did the 6 days Kilimanjaro trekking. We choose the Machame route and the landscape along the way was incredible. It was an amazing experience and that is mainly because of the guide Charles and his crew. Many years of experience and a good sense of humour made us safe and happy all the way to the top.

Beyond expectations !
5/5

We, a family of two adults and three teenage kids, recently took an two week safari and beach holiday that we booked through Safari Infinity. Short summary: We could not have made a better choice.

From the initial website enquiry (less than two months before departure) through many ‘could we just change’ emails all pre-holiday planning ran extremely smoothly. There seemed to be nothing Lucia could not arrange or rearrange. All emails were answered quickly, sometimes within minutes, which was exceptional given the time differences between Tanzania and Bangkok. From landing at Kilimanjaro to getting on the plane at the end of the holiday in Zanzibar there was not one, even slight, hitch. Lucia and Simon even took the time to come to our hotel in Arusha to see us off on safari, a nice personal touch.

The accommodation on safari was very well selected, the variety of lodges, permanent camps and tents was ideal; waking to the sounds of lions roaring in the night, sitting around the bush ‘television’ and gazing at the vast number of stars were experiences we won’t forget. Stone Town was an extremely interesting cultural delight with the restful few days at the beach on Zanzibar proving to be a wonderful change of pace and an excellent ending to the holiday.

The safari itself (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Central and North Serengeti) was superb. We saw everything we could have asked for; the ‘big five’, multiple cheetahs, many families of elephants, huge herds of zebra, gazelle and wildebeest. Though everyone agreed that the two prides of lions with cubs were the highlight. Osbert was a fantastic guide and driver -- even stopping to help someone else who was stuck in the mud, something he swears would never happen to him ! He was very knowledgeable on both the wildlife, the flora and the history of Tanzania – I don’t think we had one question he could not answer. He had an excellent sense of humour, was great with the kids (15, 16,19) and adults alike and consistently got us into fantastic positions to view and photograph the game. It’s one thing spotting the wildlife it’s something else to have the knowledge to predict where the prowling cheetah or lion will move to so that we can be in the best place to watch it pass within a few metres of our jeep. Osbert also chose some fantastic places for breakfast and lunch picnics – one that ended up being in the middle of the great migration! He was happy to vary the plan for the day so we got the most out of the safari and even volunteered to get up early on our final day for “one last game drive”.

We would happily recommend Safari Infinity to our family and friends.

wonderful trip
5/5

I had a flawless trip from start to finish, and feel I got a very personalized approach from Planet Africa. I wanted to see lions, and Leah was super throughout the planning. The two camps were a dream come true.

The experience of a lifetime!
Overall rating
5/5

Our trip could not have been more perfect from the moment of our arrival. Giraffes crossed our path from the jeep trek from the landing strip to our beautiful accommodations at Phinda Mountain Lodge, and my husband and I felt like kids all over again in our excitement. The friendly staff greeted us from the moment we arrived with a refreshment and cool towel. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed; and the meals we had were simple and delicious during our 5 day stay. Ian, our amazing guide, was extraordinarily knowledgeable and the passion he has for his work was contagious. There were so many photographic opportunities that I was starting to feel like the paparazzi of the Animal Kingdom, and I came home with some incredible moments to treasure forever. I cannot wait to go back!!!
