Our family vacation in Africa was a dream come true thanks to our booking with Spirit of Kenya.
5/5

My daugter Michelle chose and planned our fabulous family Safari vacation with Spirit of Kenya. They offered helpful suggestions and prompt responses to all emails. Start to finish, our trip was a dream come true! From the time our plane landed in Nairobi until we were dropped off for our return to the United States we received impeccable care! One of the great things about Spirit of Kenya is they give you 6-8 different lodges in each location so you can look online and choose which best fits your needs. We were very pleased with each lodge and extremely pleased with our driver, David. There were 7 of us (3 adults and 4 teenagers) plus David in our Land Rover with a pop up top. We rode comfortably despite the long drives and bumpy roads. I definitely highly recommend Spirit of Kenya for your Safari vacation. If you contact them for information or a bid you will probably get a response within 24 hours. Loved Spirit of Kenya!!

Fantastic tour with an extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide
5/5

This was our first visit to South Africa and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Southern Africa Tours setup a great itinerary tailored to our needs that packed in a great deal of things in a relatively short space of time.

We started by giving them a list of the attractions we wanted to see and the timescale that we had and they managed to get everything we'd requested and more.

I'd also like to make special mention to Gerard our tour guide. My wife and I were both instantly comfortable with him from the get-go. He is extremely knowledgeable about South Africa and each of the locations we visited and made great company.

Thank you again for such a fantastic experience!

Complete, with great attention to detail to ensure an amazing experience.
5/5

Yala Safaris Uganda is a young but super organisation. The staff is wonderful, attentive and great with communication. The trip planning was super, although a few really long hard drives (it is a big country), we had a super time and did SO much during our 10 day road trip. We saw Gorillas (a MUST DO experience), saw amazing game in the Safari parks, saw the wondrous Murchison, had adventurous boat trips, and did a walking safari at a Rhino sanctuary. Uganda is in much need of better global exposure and marketing as it is such a unique and beautiful place to visit. We all highly recommend Uganda as a destination and would certainly recommend Yala Safaris. The trip was planned with stays at great lodges, delicious food, super service. Our driver, Moses, was amazing. We felt very much taken care of in his care and we had the most interesting discussions with him and learnt so much from him.

The perfect Christmas getaway
5/5

Wow! A trip of a lifetime adventure. From start to finish Earthlife came through. Caudence answered questions quickly and was very helpful to my changes. When our flights changed the night before we were to fly, Caudence handled it quickly. We had a small problem with my final payment not going through, but Deo and Caudence were helpful to solve the situation.

The tented camps were amazing. They looked like it was set up for a movie. The team were very caution for our safety along with their team. The lodges were beautiful and food was great. The hotel in Zanzibar was awesome and it was like we were at a family's home for a Holiday. The only problem was the distance into a shopping area.

The best part of the safari was seeing all the animals and of course, Gilbert our driver. He was so knowledgeable about the animals, land and the culture. He had a wonderful and friendly personality along with his great sense of humor. By the end of the safari we were like a family.

Thank you for the lasting memories of the safari and new friendships formed.

Excellent safari experience
4/5

We took a 9 day tour to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara and Mara North. EXCEPTIONAL (5*) part of the tour were the following: (i) The tour guide is the person who guides you for the whole tour and can make or break a tour. We were fortunate to have Mr. Thoya as our driver-cum-tour guide. Extremely punctual, well groomed, communicative, friendly, extremely safe driving; most importantly, he had an exceptional knowledge of the bush and always knew where to find the animals, depending on the time of the day. He is also well networked and helped a couple of guys when they had flat tires. I am sure, if he had faced any problems (which he didn't), he would have been able to organise support quickly. Thanks to him, we got to see the big5 on both days in Masai Mara. We also got to see Cheetah hunts twice. All-in-all extremely satisfying (ii) Lodges, in order of our liking - (a) Mara Serena Lodge (truly exceptional place this) (b) Keekorok Lodge (c) Kibo Safari Camp. AVERAGE (4*) part of the tour were the following: (i) Flamingo Hill Camp at Lake Nakuru - staff could definitely improve their courtesy. Following aspects could have been IMPROVED : (i) Upkeep of the Toyota Safari vehicle provided to us (ii) Error in booking 3 single rooms instead of 1 double occupancy and 1 single occupancy room due to miscommunication. The number of rooms to be booked should come out clearly in the quotation

Mikumi has a lot to offer
4/5

Watu Safaris is a professional organization. They listen to your needs and make the reservation easy.

The guide / driver drives safely and has a lot of knowledge about the wild animals, which of you will see a bunch at Mikumi National Park. The broken English of the guide can at times be hard to follow.

You really can see the animals Watu Safaris list on their website. Mikumi National Park is great for getting an overview of animals living in the savanna.

A fantastic safari with a kind and knowledgable guide. January 2018
5/5

Leading up to the tour Charles at classic journeys was very accommodating and patient with us as we decided what trip to do. Always quick to respond and to offer suggestions.
Our tour guide Chamillus was fantastic, super knowledgable and could spot a pride of sleeping lions a mile off! We were in Tanzania and went to Ngorogoro national park and the southern Serengeti - we saw 4 of the big 5 and had we stayed an extra day I'm sure that sneaky leopard would have made an appearance! Our stay at Kati Kati camp was magical, the food was delicious. We wish we could have stayed an extra day! We did a 2 day safari but I would say a 3 day would be best to ensure 5 out of the big 5!

It was raining heavily on day one when we went but that just added to the excitement - Chamillus was an off-roaring pro and it was quite the ride through Ndutu!!

Thank you for a fabulous time Classic Journeys Africa!

You will be cared for by true experts
5/5

We loved the assistance Ker & Downey gave us with our first trip to South Africa. They managed to put together a stunning and unforgettable trip even though we were rather late to book (mid-October) for the busy holiday season. Emma Perrin was particularly helpful, stayed in contact throughout (both before, during and after our trip), and even arranged a re-booking of our lodgings at the drop of a hat when we didn't like one property where we were scheduled to stay.

We saw Cape Town, self-drove a rental SUV on the Garden Route, stayed at a fabulous safari lodge and saw wonders on our safari drives, and then finished off the trip by a half-day in Johannesburg including the Apartheid Museum. Ker & Downey arranged all our lodging, internal flights, airport meets, and excursions where we weren't driving. Emma also made great suggestions for things to do. I would highly recommend Ker & Downey and Emma Perrin for their care, consistency, attention to both safety issues and small details, and ability to influence various providers to do better, if needed!

And most of all, go visit South Africa, it's fantastic.
