One of my favorite trips to date. Our safari planner, Steve, was beyond amazing in confirming everything we wanted. He provided helpful information about getting the Kenyan evisa, Covid testing after our safari, and anything else we needed. He was professional and always reached out to ensure everything was going well even after our safari ended and until we turned home. Our safari driver, Abubakar, was the ABSOLUTE best, and chatting with him throughout our game drive was a great time. Abu was amicable, timely, and helpful!! We saw 4 of the Big 5 (no rhino sighting) plus many more animals. Abu's ability to spot animals far off in the distance was impressive. Getting to see 3 leopards (which are usually elusive animals) and the hippos at the hippo pool was a nice treat. Abu is knowledgeable about animals and various subjects. Even when our truck got stuck in the mud, he was calm and made sure we felt comfortable until we got assistance.
Mara Serena was a beautiful lodge with gorgeous views to stay. It was also a nice surprise to get picked up and dropped off at the airport before and after the safari. We would love to return for an extended trip and have Abu as our guide again. I would definitely recommend this company to my family and friends.

Tanzania Adventure (serengeti, Ngoro Ngoro crater, zanzibar)
The trip of a life time. Thomas from Paramount Safaris was also our guide. His knowledge of Tanzania along with years of tour experience was outstanding. Furthermore, the lodging accommodations were fantastic. Our lodge in the Serengeti and Ngoro Ngoro crater were to die for. Watched Zebras come to the watering hole from our decks. Also the lodging in Stonetown Zanzibar was like something out of a movie. We saw lots of lions, water buffalo, gazelles, impalas, a leopard, a cheetah, lots elephants, giraffes, wart hogs, ostriches, secretary birds, a crocodile, 1000s of zebras (they were migrating when we were there), hippos, monkeys, baboons, hyenas, a few wild dogs, numerous other birds and colorful lizards. The animals were up close and the photos I got look like they belong in National Geographic. On top of that, Thomas arranged side trips such as snorkeling in the Indian Ocean (what beautiful tropical fish), a trip to a Masai village (I danced with the Masai), a trip to the cultural center (we got a killer deal on a Tanzanite ring) and a tour of a spice operation on Zanzibar. I would highly recommend to anyone that is interested in going to Africa that they deal with Thomas and his company.

Wonderful tour with outstanding attention to detail!
We had a once in a lifetime trip to Namibia, Victoria Falls and the Okavango Delta, organized by Mr. Audwin (Scobie) de Wet, Founder and CEO of Evolution Travel, based in Windhoek, Namibia. Scobie is an amazing travel agent, arranging for all aspects of our tour of Southern Africa, including our transport, luxury lodging and tour guides. His response to communication was timely; he not only was meticulous in pre-travel planning, but he was also personally available at a moment's notice to help with a few "glitches" that happened during the trip. He gave us an in-depth personal historical tour of Windhoek and Katatura, including a visit to the studio of an outstanding local artist. We next visited Erindi Game Reserve and were treated to a wealth of local flora and fauna during game drives. We then toured Swakopmund and the coastal dune belt on the beautiful Atlantic shore. We learned about the unique and fragile ecosystem of the dunes and the Namib desert, and we enjoyed the unique German character and incredible cuisine of the city. Our next stop was Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and a beautiful stay in the Victoria Falls Hotel, Zimbabwe's spectacular and most luxurious colonial era hotel, adjacent to Victoria Falls. Again, every detail was attended to, and we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. We next flew by charter plane into the Okavango Delta, staying at Shinde Camp, a small luxury camp on a palm island in the northern delta, a private concession of Ker & Downey, Botswana. Our experience was incredible, including the accommodations, the game drives and the staff. We reluctantly returned to the US; however, we plan to return, and we will count on Evolution Travel to make all our arrangements!
