clockwork organisation, highly recommended
5/5

Just no complaints.
the bush lodge in Okavango was wild as it should be and a brilliant choice.
Chobe lives up to its standard when it comes to elephant
the Vic-Falls are still there ! And Avani is in a perfect position for any adventure around the place.
the hotels were fine.
the chobe lodge's food leaves to be desired in quality, 3 of us had "Africa-belly" but that was not WildAfrica's fault.

Amazing, amazing, amazing.......................
5/5

Umubano Tours are amazing and Rwanda is amazing. Right from the start I felt confident in Umubano Tours, Herbert was Mr Efficient and always got back to us in record time, he always was happy to answer the many questions we had prior to booking and he arranged an great itinerary for us. We also had the opportunity to meet Herbert a few times, which we really enjoyed and he made us feel so very welcome and gave us a great insight into some of the country’s history.

We competed a 9 day tour of Rwanda with Bosco as our guide, this included Kigali tour including the memorial museum and churches, two days with the gorillas, the hike to Dian Fossey site, Lake Kivu including staying at a home stay for the night with a local family and the chimpanzee trekking and waterfall hike at Nyungwe Forest National Park. The Gorilla trekking was the most incredible thing we have ever done and we could not believe how close you get to them, the first day we saw approx. 22 gorillas and the next day approx. 12, this included silver backs and babies and we were glad we did two days as each one was very different.

We were so glad we took some friends advice and stayed in Rwanda for more days than just the Gorilla trek, there is so much more to Rwanda than just the Gorillas, Lake Kivu is beautiful and so picturesque, the home stay provided us with an opportunity to see how the locals live and we donated some items we had brought from home to the local school on the island.
Nyungwe National Park is well worth the trip down south, the drive from Volcanos National Park to Nyungwe is absolutely beautiful I could not take my eyes of the landscape of rolling hills and tea plantations and smiling children constantly waving at us. We were lucky to see the Chimps at Nyungwe National Park after only a 30 min walk into the forest they are really quick so just be aware that it’s not guaranteed and it can be hard to photograph them. During our drive out of the forest back to our lodge we also saw many Colobus Monkeys.

We couldn’t off asked for a better guide than Bosco, he was amazing, he always had a smile on his face and made us laugh and smile the whole time, he taught us so much about Rwanda and its people, was always punctual and was flexible to accommodate us at all times. We really feel we came away not only having experienced a beautiful country with beautiful people but also coming away with a friend and company that we will know we will stay in touch with.

Please come to Rwanda, we felt so welcome all of the time, completely safe and the country has been through so much and the people are so warm and incredibly friendly, we are so happy to be ambassadors for the country and cannot say enough good things about Umubano Tours and Rwanda.

Huge thanks again Herbert, Bosco and the team at Umubano Tours, you made our holiday so memorable and enjoyable and we know we will be return to Rwanda in the future.

It is a refreshing new vista which you would not expect in Africa.Gorgeous scenery and we saw elephants up close .We were not lucky to see the tree climbing lions but saw wildlife in plenty.Lots of birds and trees and little rivulets which made it so pretty.Park facilities were excellent though we just visited for a day.

Wonderful experience! Great guide!
5/5

As I was searching for a good company to organize my safari, a friend recommended me Elkan Safaris. Everything was smoothly arranged by email. They picked us up at the hotel in the beginning and took us to the airport the day after we finished the safari.
We did a 4 day/3 night camping safari and our schedule was all according to plan: one day in Lake Manyara, sunset and sunrise in Serengueti, one night and one day in Ngorongoro.
Everything went quite well. Our tents were good, the food was diverse and more than enough and, most of all, our guide Henri was absolutely ammazing!! He could spot an animal anywhere while driving and he got us really close to the wildlife whenever possible. Moreover, he told us a lot of usefull and interesting information about all kinds of animals.
I would definately recommend everybody to do a safari in Africa: it is a wonderful and unique experience. Elkan Safari was the perfect company to organize it and for a good price, comparing to other companies.

Most pleasant and exciting Safari experience with It Started in Africa
5/5

We spent a full week on a Safari with "It Started in Africa" and our most reliable and experienced guide Jackson during our honeymoon. Everything was very well managed since our very first contact during the booking of the trip. The entire staff is honest, dedicated and helpful. Jackson knows everything about the parks, the animals and whatever you may want to know during a Safari. He has been a most professional driver and guide. We definitely recommend a Safari with It Started in Africa.

Very personal contact, very good value for money, price transparency,
5/5

Everything was perfectly organized. We had a special tour coming from Rwanda and starting a Safari at Mwanza endig in Arusha). And for ex. our driver Fred frisky, enjoyable and cautious (it's a must).

We specially appreciated two issues: price transparency (many other offers we asked for had just a price we couldn't comprehend) and the fact that etrip cooperates with small lokal providers. That made our trip at least a little bit sustainable. (There are f.e. huge Indian providers).

We even where helped by Ben (general manager), when our trip had already ended: the day after we had lost our connecting flight to Zanzibar we had booked by our self (let it book by Ben's at local partners!). Ben procured a convenient accommodation in Arusha and even spent with us the evening in a Ethiopian restaurant, very kind.

So we would book without doubt again with etrip.
