11 Day Budget Safari in Kenya and Tanzania
I had a great time on my safari. It lived up to all of my expectations, and I was able to see all of the Big Five! From the beginning, Dennis was extremely attentive and responded to my emails sometimes within minutes. The price offered was a great value and far better than the other operators. I felt like I was in great hands with Dennis and Baboon Budget Safaris and would happily recommend them to anyone looking to book a safari.
The combined safari is actually two separate safaris, each with a different driver/guide. In between, you’ll take a shuttle from Kenya to Tanzania.
The driver/guide for Kenya was Patrick and for Tanzania was Ali. Both were experienced, professional, patient, and charming. They know how to find the animals and help you get the best experience.
The accommodations and food for the budget safari were better then I expected. I slept well most nights and we always ate decently. They were a bit better on the Tanzania side compared to in Kenya.
A few things to be aware of are:
A lot of time unavoidably gets spent on driving from one place to the other, so don’t expect to see animals all day every day. There’s a lot of distance to cover and that means a lot of driving.
Crossing the border into Tanzania was my least favorite part. Upon arrival I was told I needed $50 USD cash for the visa, as well as a yellow fever certificate, and a printed COVID certificate. I was not prepared for that, so getting the cash and printing the certificate was a huge hassle. An agent from the shuttle bus company will be there to assist you, but his English wasn’t great and I had no means of calling Dennis in case I needed help. There is some room for improvement here, but anyway, eventually I made it across and the rest of the trip was fantastic.

This was my first time using assistance booking a trip and it was so much more pleasant not having to worry about any changes or keep track of the bookings. The expertise Wayfairer provided regarding the destinations visited was invaluable and much better than if I had researched on my own. I felt completely comfortable with the itinerary and truly relaxed to enjoy the journey.

Increible experiencia en Tanzania con Tanzania Horizon
Hello. We made a trekking in the kilimanjaro with Tanzania Horizon between 25th oct to 1st nov. The experience was unforgetable, we reach the Uhru Peack thanks to the gide of Tanzania Horizon and the incredible staff they have (gide, assistant guide, best ever cooker and porters) who made a tough work always with a smile in their faces. They always take care of us and they made us feel save and as a part of a mountain family.
From the begining of the journey they attended us very well, picking up us at the airport to a very good hotel in Moshi where we stayed for two days. They prepare the expedition untill the smollest detail...everything was over our expectations!!. We rented very good mountain material that we haven't.
We are thinking from now the next expedition and without doubt we will make it with Tanzania Horizon and his staff. Hardly recomendable!!. Thanks so much!!

Extraordinary safari!
It must be said that the period was suitable because, unfortunately for Tanzania, but fortunately for us, there is no one in the parks, COVID obliges (and yet Tanzania does not ask for any PCR test, just taking the temperature at the airport).
So we have the animals just for us .. and there are! (BIG 5 done!)
In terms of organization, everything went perfectly.
Vincent, our French speaking guide, was just great and found us a ton of animals. The children are delighted and so are we.
Having hot meals for lunch with a small rosé glass is a big plus :-)
The lodges are also very good (special mention at Nimali Camp Tarangire and Tortilis Serengeti Central) and the visit of the Masai village off the beaten track will remain an unforgettable memory.
So a big thank you to Vincent and his lynx eyes and to Helena for her availability and professionalism.

North Circuit with Trip Quest!
4 days of a dream safari in Tanzania. Trip Quest was suggested to us by a friend who travelled with them in February and we are very thankful for his suggestion,we doubt if we would get a better company than Trip Quest to organize our safari. Everything was as planned, the accommodations we stayed were clean and comfortable, the vehicle we were provided with was almost brand new. Of all the other companies I contacted TripQuest offered the best price. We would definitely come back to Tanzania and we would travel with Trip Quest again! All the best ! Cheers!

Great experience
All the services provided by Furaha tours was excellent! Meet&Greet at the airport, the transfer in confy 4x4 to Arusha, the guys (Phill and our excellent tour guide Shaban) explained us all the itinerary ( we booked 3 days Safari Tarangire NP & Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara NP). We enjoyed it a lot, we saw the Big 5, our guide did his best to show us all the animals. Also the accommodation at Eileens Tree Lodge, was great, nice clean rooms, very friendly staff.... Next time, for sure, we will use the services of Furaha Tours for Serengeti Safari.

Travelling in these uncertain times Dave gave great support it was a great experience
Communications were well managed I was apprehensive to travel during this pandemic. Dave answered all my questions Everything on the itineraries were fulfilled. I went on a camping safari and trekked MT meru. There were very few tourists. It was just myself the guide and cook. They are professionals very knowledgeable. Saw alot of wildlife and the trek was very rewarding. THANKS AGAIN KILISLOPE

Amazing safari and excellent service!
We highly recommend Tanzania roadside expeditions. They were very knowledgeable about literally every animal/question we asked. They fulfilled all of our requests ie - filling the cooler full of wine - because how can you not drink Serengeti Wine when your on the Serengeti!? The accommodations were top notch. Great lodges with good locations. James was our guide - we cannot say enough good things about his hard work and service. He was very accommodating, friendly, and very sincere. Also - we got to see the Great migration, an absolutely incredible experience with 1000s of wildebeests and zebras crossing the river. We even got a cool shot of the croc chomping the wildebeest.

An Epic Trip with an awesome tour operator!
This was an absolutely amazing trip. The communications before the trip began were great. We knew what to expect and planned accordingly. The service had no flaws. Everything was on time, just what we wanted, and the service was superb. We had no worries and all of our needs and questions were met with kindness and sincerity. We felt a common trust from the beginning, and it continued throughout the trip.
The Safari was everything we could have dreamed of. We saw the wildebeest crossing during their migration. We saw a mother lion with three cubs, and two other lions there. We saw leopards in trees and cheetahs on the path, and resting, and under the shade of trees. We watched four lions finish off a gazelle feast as the hyenas circled round. They snuck a bone and the others chased after, squealing all the way! We saw giraffes running, zebras by the hundreds, hippos in the water, and monkeys and antelope and African buffalo and elephants!!!! Our tour operator and driver had a vast knowledge and were able to spot these animals from hundreds of feet away. Spectacular.
Our accommodations were delightful! From a supposed tent that looked over the Serengeti and was right out of a magazine, to a lush ocean side villa, to rooms that were spacious and clean and just wonderful!!
This was truly a trip to remember. It was fascinating, friendly, fun, and just the best ever!
And, if you are a "birder" and love to see colorful birds every day, this is the trip!

Brenda and Kakasii at Tanzania Choice Safaris are an amazing couple to work with. Brenda responded to all my inquiries and emails promptly and provided a day be day itinerary catered to my personal preferences. Her and Kakasii are local Tanzanian residents and experts on the best areas to tour as well as the local attractions and hotels at each location. I was never left in the dark with what to except and greatly appreciated their recommendations which made my overall experience special. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to travel to Tanzania! I look forward to rebooking with them soon!
