An incredibly interesting and memorable tour - a real-life Attenborough experience!
5/5

Paul Tickner Safaris provided excellent service long before I had even set foot in Tanzania. Everything was organised and communicated to me in a manner that dispelled any anxiety prior to the excursion - Paul is highly knowledgeable - not only about wildlife and conservation, but also about the culture and travel within the country. I was constantly blown away with his ability to answer ANY queries I had.

Paul made the entire journey as easy as possible, which made for an extremely worry-free trip. Since this is the first time I have visited East Africa I was expecting some difficulties on the way, but Paul completely removed any troubles and was clearly ALWAYS considering my comfort and safety.

The safari tour was unbelievable. Ruaha National Park is absolutely huge, but it seemed as if Paul knew it like the back of his hand! He would stop the car whenever I saw something I wanted to take a photograph of and kept his sunny disposition for the entire trip. He'd also speak to other drivers on the safari to see if there were sightings of lions (which I was particularly keen to see). Being able to speak to the locals in Swahili, it meant that Paul was accurately able to locate two sets of lions for me to take photographs of which was a dream come true.

My main takeaway from the safari tour was how much Paul cares for and respects the animals and the local communities. There was a real personal feel to his tour which I doubt you would get from other safari companies. At one point during the tour, he stopped the car nearby a group of elephants napping under a baobab tree. I had numerous questions about the behaviour of the animals and the tree itself and it felt like I had a David Attenborough sitting next to me telling me everything I wanted to know. He was constantly able to provide me with information about the area, the birds, local culture, conservation, the animals, the vegetation, etc.

Paul also organised flights, accommodation and transfers for me so I could take a mini-break in Zanzibar. The hotel I stayed at was on the beach and brilliant value for money - it was a beautifully relaxing way to end my trip in East Africa.

I highly recommend Paul's services and suggest that everyone takes a trip to Tanzania to indulge in a mind-blowing experience! Thank you Paul Tickner Safaris for providing me with a holiday I will never forget.

my second safari with Pam Tours and travel ltd. I have been meaning to write a review but sorry Paul, I have been busy. Lovely attention to detail from planning to delivery. Paul was able to work within my budget and give value for money. My son 13 year old had a trip of a lifetime and drivers were childfriendly. our trip was Kenya 12 day adventure safari Kenya and Tanzania. The tents were comfortable gave us a real jungle feeling, we were lucky enough to see the big five!!!

Trip of a lifetime; exceeded my expectations
5/5

Information on line, on web site, through e mail exchanges thorough, prompt and helpful . Service was amazing. Beyond expectations in all aspects. The safari tour itself was exhilarating, informative, professional; the areas selected were wonderful, teeming with plants, animals, birds and wonderful smells and sounds. I did not expect such a comfortable and seamless adventure. I felt very safe and well-looked-after. My guide, Lucas, was extremely attentive to each and every one of us, and encyclopedic in his knowledge. Appreciated the Eco-friendly touches, the animal and bird lists provided, the tremendous respect for the animals. Even learned some constellations. We were most fortunate to see leopards 3 times, including cubs, and wild dogs on no less than 5 separate occasions !

Everything in our safari tour was perfect. This is a very professional safari company, all the trip organization was very quickly and easy. We have many questions and changes in the itineray and Laura always give us a grate personal service. All the places we went to were excellent with amazing and special lodges. Our gide was the best! He knows a lot of animals, plants, history and have a very good eye view to see animals.
We recommended Amazing Tanzania 100%.

I❤️Africa
5/5

I would like to Thank Simon and his team for giving us the most amazing African holiday! They took care of our every need and we felt safe with them the entire time. Our guide Gordon was a wealth of knowledge, there was not a question I asked that he didn't know the answer to or wasn't able to find me the answer. He ensured all our accommodations where adequate and to our liking. (Traveller's remember the accommodations in Africa are not the same as your used to, ask lots of questions and never assume anything as this may lead you to have unrealistic expectations, in our eyes this is what made things more authentic) The Massai Mara was full of adventures and fully lived up to our expectations, Gordon spotted us the Big Five all in one day and much much more! We also had the luxury of having a ride along guide intern with us for the first half of our trip and Jeffith always ensured I captured every moment by offering to take our picture and videos in all locations/ events of the days. We visited a Masai village and learned of the traditional ways of their people, it was a very eye opening experience and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience more of Africa. In Amboseli National park we where given the honour of having our meals prepared by a private chef Alan and every meal he impressed and ensured we where fully satisfied :) When we crossed the boarder into Tanzania the transfer was smooth and both guides ensured we where comfortable. Ozy our guide for Tanzania could spot any camouflaged animal from miles away and took the time to sit at certain spots ensuring we saw different animal interactions that we didn't anticipate such as the lion mating routine. (Always account for travel time and traffic, all these parks are amazing but they do require a bit of travel time to get there.) I cant say enough about the personal touches that going with Wildrace offered us, Simon took the time out of his busy schedule to pick us up at the boarder and accompany us for the final day, driving back to Nairobi from the Tanzania boarder and even some shopping and our final dinner at the Famous Carnivore restaurant. One of my crazy requests was to ride a camel and on the last day my dream came true as we went to a Masai camp out of the original plan and I was able to ride a Camel!! Wildrace far exceeded my expectations and as first time visitors to Africa made me feel more then at home, my advice for any traveler going to Africa would be to plan your itinerary with a local company to ensure you get the real African experience ( Not being put in a large bus with 20 other people like we seen of many large companies) be flexible and just enjoy the moments. Thank you again Simon and your great team, I can't wait to plan our next adventure visiting the Gorillas of Uganda with you and feel truly grateful to have met each and everyone of you!

Outstanding professionalism by Opentourafrica. Our itinerary was elaborated and delivered to the point. Everything from the transfers to hotels to the activities were beautifully organized. A very well planned route thanks to the expertise and knowledge of Opentourafrica. The safaris were such a surreal experience! The service received from the drivers, rangers and staff at the lodge was excellent.
Thank you for a trip of a lifetime! We can't wait to visit again!

If only there was a 6th star
5/5

I have traveled to over 60 countries and all over the world, managing my traveling almost entirely independent of a travel agency, but dealing with Rose at the Luxury Safari Company for my Africa trip was such a significant improvement to my travel experiences that i have completely changed how i view booking trips going forward. She was completely in tune with my needs (an innate skill), all on a short term booking basis, handled every little detail, and even dealt with issues as they arose during my trip. Staying at Little Medikwe was a memory i will never forget. The Residence in Johannesburg was top 3 best service of any hotel i have ever stayed at, and a completely unique hotel concept. Stanley Safari Lodge in Zambia (Vic Falls) was also unique in that you have one of the four walls in your room exposed to the elements, listening to lion roars instead of counting sheep to sleep at night. Even when i wanted to do something that she didnt have a pre-existing relationship with a company to service me, Rose took the initiative to work with an outside company of my choosing and deal with rescheduling and other issues that popped up with that company. This is the mark of a truly motivated and caring agency. If there was a sixth star i would gladly give it to the Luxury Safari Company.

Best place on Earth!
5/5

We had the opportunity to visit the caves in western Uganda! I was taken away by the beauty and historical significance placed on that region. That is something that I admire so much. I learn so much about the culture and history of western Uganda and thanks to the amazing tour guides who were very professional and at the same time very humorous! We had a blast. I recommend Gorilla Tours to you

If you want adventure riding on great horses and fantastic people to help you then this is the ride
5/5

I am not one to praise people easily, they have to earn it. This ride is not for pussy cats, the terrain is tough and some days are long. The rewards though are amazing what with the fantastic rock formations and drawings. I rode two horses and found them both easy to handle and well schooled plus all the horses were very well looked after with lots of water and good feed. Andrew, Tillanny and the team could not do any more than they did. Nelson and Frederick were pillars of strength and the girls produced fantastic Camp Fire food .Overall I recommend Namibia Horse Safaris to all adventurist riders .They have earned my deepest respect. thank You

Amazing experience with Cul Tour Safaris
5/5

I recently had the opportunity to visit Uganda for my fourth time but two times traveled Cul Tours and they over exceeded my expectations visiting local villages in Uganda and it's amazing experience. Specially need to mentioned Francis and Juma and Stephen the owner of the Company as our assigned tour guides during our two weeks visit to Uganda. I would suggest any friend or family visiting there to book from them. Thanks to for making this trip wonderful!
